Experience with Karl's Furniture in Dublin…read more Hello, I want to share with you my personal experience with Karl's Furniture shop located in Dublin. I loved the choice of sofas that they have in the shop. So decided to buy one, I placed my order on 05.11.2011 and they told me that they will try to deliver this before Christmas, but cannot promise. But normally they would deliver within 8 weeks. They never called, so in mid January 2012 I decided to give them a ring to find out where is my new sofa. They promised to give me call back, which never happen. So after few days I called them again and again... and again. So at this stage I experienced very bad customer service. On Staurday 21.01.2011 (after 11 weeks of waiting) they called me and said that sofa never arrived and they don't know why. So I just went there to cancel order and get deposit back. I already bought a lot of furnitures in shops around Dublin and this experience was the worst one. Please note, that I'm only sharing my own opinion of their service. Thanks, Aleksander

When we first visited the Tallaght branch, the staff were extremely helpful, especially Colm, who really went out of his way to assist us. This gave us confidence to go with Deskelly, even though their pricing was only average compared to other quotes. We chose them because we expected professionalism and reliability from a larger company. Unfortunately, the reality was very different. Endless Postponements: Dates we had confirmed in the shop were not entered into their system. More than once, I was told last-minute that the fitting was postponed, including on the very morning I was expecting them. This caused huge stress, especially since I had to rearrange the delivery of a new bed and other furniture several times. Customer Care Issues: Communication with customer care was one of the most frustrating parts. Calls were cut off while I was still talking, promises of follow-up were not kept, and I constantly had to chase updates myself. The lack of respect for my time and situation was very disappointing. Inconsistent Fitting Standards: The LVT team did an excellent, clean job. The carpet fitting, however, was messy and inconsistent. Some areas were left unfinished, and in one case the fitter admitted he had used leftover carpet because the measurement hadn't been done properly. Since Deskelly themselves took the measurements, I don't understand how this could happen, and I was left feeling like I had to accept poor standards for something I paid a premium for. In the end, the work was only completed after weeks of stress, delays, and unnecessary back-and-forth. For a company that presents itself as professional and charges above handyman prices, I honestly expected far better. Overall, while some staff tried to help (again, Colm was excellent), the overall process was exhausting, uncoordinated, and frustrating. I would strongly urge Deskelly to improve their communication, scheduling, and accountability so that future customers don't go through what I did. I left this experience frustrated and disappointed, and I genuinely cannot recommend them.

I had a notion of what TV I wanted before going in and that's what I got.... but for cheaper than expected. As I strolled my way over to the wall of TV screens, I was stopped and asked if I wanted help, so I said 'yes please... I'd like a TV'... look at me being all grown up and buying a new tv instead of getting second hand ones! I'd wanted a 23inch but it seemed so puny against the wall of giant screens... I had a vulnerable moment and asked about bigger sizes (even though rationally I knew they wouldn't fit in the space in my apartment). Thankfully the sales guy didn't pounce of my wide-eyed moment brought on by too much shininess and just sold me what I asked for, but including a four year warantee in the price... look at me all grown up with a warantee! There is precisely no chance that I won't lose that piece of paper! The TV is now at home and being all shiny and vibrant... I may be experiencing sensory overload as a result!
