Fitters put a carpet nail through a radiator pipe ( confirmed by two plumbers) assumed Des Kelly would at least cover refit of the carpet even though I am out plumber fees. Got email back today saying they would cover nothing, even though I have spent over €8000 with them. I don't usually write reviews, but after my experience with Deskelly, I feel it's important to share. When we first visited the Tallaght branch, the staff were extremely helpful, especially Colm, who really went out of his way to assist us. This gave us confidence to go with Deskelly, even though their pricing was only average compared to other quotes. We chose them because we expected professionalism and reliability from a larger company. Unfortunately, the reality was very different. Endless Postponements: Dates we had confirmed in the shop were not entered into their system. More than once, I was told last-minute that the fitting was postponed, including on the very morning I was expecting them. This caused huge stress, especially since I had to rearrange the delivery of a new bed and other furniture several times. Customer Care Issues: Communication with customer care was one of the most frustrating parts. Calls were cut off while I was still talking, promises of follow-up were not kept, and I constantly had to chase updates myself. The lack of respect for my time and situation was very disappointing. Inconsistent Fitting Standards: The LVT team did an excellent, clean job. The carpet fitting, however, was messy and inconsistent. Some areas were left unfinished, and in one case the fitter admitted he had used leftover carpet because the measurement hadn't been done properly. Since Deskelly themselves took the measurements, I don't understand how this could happen, and I was left feeling like I had to accept poor standards for something I paid a premium for. In the end, the work was only completed after weeks of stress, delays, and unnecessary back-and-forth. For a company that presents itself as professional and charges above handyman prices, I honestly expected far better. Overall, while some staff tried to help (again, Colm was excellent), the overall process was exhausting, uncoordinated, and frustrating. I would strongly urge Deskelly to improve their communication, scheduling, and accountability so that future customers don't go through what I did. I left this experience frustrated and disappointed, and I genuinely cannot recommend them. read more

We recently had flooring fitted in our hallway by Des Kelly Interiors in Sallins, and we couldn't be happier with the result. Kalem in the shop was incredibly nice and made it easy for us to decide and also accomodate us with the fitting date. Daniel, the fitter, did a fantastic job--professional, efficient, and with great attention to detail - we will be contacting him in the future for other jobs. We were so delighted with the outcome that we've decided to go ahead with flooring in the living room as well. Great to deal with the team in the store but fitting the laminate flooring and carpets was an absolute nightmare. The team did not come up with required beading and blamed it on measurements team. I had to leave work and run around a few shops to get 6 lengths of matching beading. I also had to pay additional €130 (which I'm told will be refunded by corporate) for doors and beading, again due to 'mistake of measurements team'. And they still installed some aluminum beading which doesn't go with interior at all. They also forgot to attach doors back to door closers or left some of them lose. Today, when carpets were laid, they left one door unattached because the team 'forgot' and left so I guess I will have to wait without door till someone fixes it. Ps: the carpet fitters blamed Des Kelly for not providing some consumable which is essential for carpets so we need to get it done from someone else. Absolutely horrible experience. read more

I just had a Des Kelly bedroom carpet fitted. The service was excellent. The sales rep I dealt with in the Slaney Road branch was great. He spent time with me until I got the carpet that fit my budget and would be delivered in time. The two fitters phoned me early on the morning of the fitting and gave me the time they would arrive. They came on time, fitted it perfectly and cleaned up after themselves. I highly recommend them and would not hesitate to get another carpet from them. Also, the carpet is fabulous! read more

Recently ordered a new leather couch here. Staff excellent and pleasant to deal with. The couch we spotted was in a different colour but they rang all their branches for us, to see if the one we wanted was available. As it wasn't in stock they ordered it straight away from the supplier and it arrived in due course. they don't stock luxury items however Des kelly's is a great place to shop for furniture on a budget. Some great bargains to be had from time to time. they also stock carpets and wooden floors. read more

I ordered two chest of drawers from Des Kelly on the 1st February. When ordering them I found the man very passive aggressive and disinterested. He did not like his job and that was very prominent. I explained that I needed them in white and a particular style. He did not seem too happy about the requirements. His attitude was very negative. However, I looked past this and just paid him. He assured me that they will be in within a week from the date. However, after long phone call and a lot of waiting they finally arrived on the 1st of March. Exactly a month later. My mother was very annoyed with the service that he was delivering and rang up to complain. They did not care and with this, it made her more annoyed. The furniture came delivered in the back of a staff members car that worked in there. Overall, negative experience, rude staff and extended waitiing time frame. read more

I would not recommend using Des Kelly interiors. I ordered wooden floors online in November. Giving the current circumstances I spoke with a member of des Kelly's staff over the phone who assured me my wood would be available to collect November 7th early morning. I told them I had arrange to have these fitted and collected on the same day and she confirmed this wouldn't be an issue. I then get an email the day before hand at 16:15 to say theres a "delay" with my order and wouldn't be available for collection! Less than 24 hours prior to collection. At this point I had already disposed of my home carpet in preparation for the following morning. I emailed back and forth with a member from des Kelly's about the order who's only rectification was to offer me a complete different colour wood they had in stock (obviously trying to get rid of as it was nothing to what I ordered) or to wait for the delivery. I chose to wait. Get a call this morning my wood would t be ready till January!!!!!! The woman on the phone said she didn't know what was happening or why it would be in till January!? This sort of customer care and standards in my option is appalling and totally unacceptable. I currently have no floor sun my living room and be lucky to have some before Christmas!! The woman on the phone said she's "try" and have someone contact me in regards to a refund. Still waiting for this however!!! read more
