Then Colour Glass is a great idea, if I was an executive and had a kitchen or bathroom of my own, I'd definitely consider it. The essential concept is to dress your walls and surfaces with custom fitted splashes of coloured glass. Simply and ingenious really, minimal cleaning required and maximum fanciness provided. They do corporate gigs to and also have furnishings, like sinks and shelves, for bathrooms. In fairness to Colour Glass are really in position to cater for non-executives (or badly paid ones) and are pretty reasonably priced. They currently have an offer of €200 for a 'Splashback' including fitting. You should check their web-site out for it's interactive sections too, which are a bit of fun and may bring out the interior designer in you. So three stars for Colour Glass for being a creative and independently Irish owned interior design alternative, two removed for only catering to people who own walls.

Herman who is the owner of this company was very pleasant on the phone, very helpful etc, once he had my money I did not hear from him again. The production and fitting of the glass is conducted by Douglas Glass, based in Monaghan. My glass was finally fitted the second week in October, 3 months after I paid for it. To say that colour glass is incompetant is a compliment. I phoned Herman daily, and emailed him and have since had no reply. The colourglass showroom is no longer open so there is no physical place that you can go to contact him. The sales were bad and the fitting wasn't much better, each set of sockets required new longer screws which would be the norm as the glass pushes out the socket plates from the wall, the fitters didn't have enought screws so left two sockets hanging off the wall. In one of the other sockets they used a wood screw and thus damaged the socket threads and we can't put in a proper screw. Bearing in mind these sockets cost us €25 each, we weren't impressed. The only good thing out of this experience is that the glass looks amazing and everyone comments on it, but if I had to do it over again I absolutely would not use ColourGlass.

The shop is quirky as hell, full of weird and wonderful things like a selection of pre-written books where you the reader, are tasked with illustrating ...think of it as a colouring book for artistic grown ups. Also present were cards, odd candle sticks, strange soaps and birds (not real ones). Upstairs there is a room given over to really realistic fake flowers. .. my wife tells me 'it's a thing', you know, cool. It is, in short, an eclectic mix of gifts and curios, definitely worth a visit when you are gift shopping

We've had no correspondence from Helen Turkington or their receivers despite repeated chasing. This was over 2 months ago now... Do not use unless you want to lose money!! Terrible company, terrible service.
