The shop is quirky as hell, full of weird and wonderful things like a selection of pre-written books where you the reader, are tasked with illustrating ...think of it as a colouring book for artistic grown ups. Also present were cards, odd candle sticks, strange soaps and birds (not real ones). Upstairs there is a room given over to really realistic fake flowers. .. my wife tells me 'it's a thing', you know, cool. It is, in short, an eclectic mix of gifts and curios, definitely worth a visit when you are gift shopping

The missus sent me to Kevin Kelly interiors. The brief was simple, get drapes for the sitting room... not curtains, drapes...what's the difference? The shop was full of curtains, cushions and interestingly, wallpapers - custom made wallpapers - did you know you could order such things? I didn't! ...the drapes? nope, I failed miserably, she had to go herself!

Sure the astronomical costs for delicate steel-ribboned chandeliers and huge, dripping front hall-bling pitched most of the stock far out of my budget. But it was fun to stroll through those forests of designer lights, poking at architectural lamps and structurally inspired porch lights. The showroom itself is incredible, and it's clear to see why major hotels and developers look here for something special to sparkle in multi-million euro lobbies.

The first time I noticed the Drawing Room was because of a sign that read 'laundy- please drop your…read morepants here'. Apart from that sign, they also have vintage teddy bears, lampshades, tables, sideboards, chairs... you probably get what I'm talking about. The owners of the Drawing Room actually specialise in interior design and you can just see those pieces getting a lovely new home. Sadly, they are rather pricey, but if you just want to have a look at the things on offer and ogle and laugh at the whimsical signs and decorative items, feel free to have a look around the Drawing Room.

I'm not proud to say that I've bought and brought back three sinks to this shop. In this instance, it was forth time lucky; I finally have the right sink. But only after the guys allowed me to take their brochures and two other sinks home with me to test drive them. I can't say enough about how patient and helpful they are in Showhouse. I must be the most frustrating client in the world, yet they never let on to a thing. Now to get back to my sink...

Duffy's isn't the most inspirational shop, as Dani pointed it out it's used filled with quite a few…read more'auld ones', but if you don't have much money to spend and you need new bed linen or some sort of window dressing this is the place. They've got really, really cheap stuff. It mightn't win you any interior design awards, but at least you'll have some sheets on your bed. If you're looking for a bit more selection and still want the really cheap prices you might be better off heading to Guineys.

Duffy's does exactly what it says on the outside- they offer curtains and bedding at very cheap…read moreprices. There is very little effort made on presentation or customer services in this shop, that's probably why they can afford to sell their goods for next to nothing. I really only went in to see what they had and because it was raining. There was only little old ladies in the shop at the time, which should tell you all you need to know about Duffy's Interiors.

It is packed full of mirrors, lamps, soft furnishings and photo frames. There are also wee gifts dotted around the place (wallets, letter opener sets etc....) which is a nice touch.
