Low ambient lighting, with a skylight in the back. Wasn't very impressed with the pasta. They had a great $12 Sunday deal on pasta but the pasta fell short. There wasn't much flavor or seasoning. Our server on the other hand d was fantastic and full of whimsy. He did push a bit on us to order desert, which we didn't want but appreciated the effort.
I love eating at Fumo they have the happy hour pastas $14. I order the Clam vongole with shrimp which came up to $21 and was wotaste was amazing they don't skimp on the clams. French fries are crispy and seasoned perfectly. Steak was also good the vibes in the restaurant is dope. Very clean restaurant with a helpful staff
My friend and I dropped by for happy hour on a Thursday and the place was packed to brim. Despite how many customers there were, service was amazing and never slow. Our food came out in a timely manner. On top of that, everything was delicious. The rice balls were my personal favorite and when I return I'll definitely order another plate. The place has ample space for seating but I would make a recommend making a reservation just to ensure your table as the bar was packed! Despite not sitting at the bar, my friend and I were able to enjoy happy hour which is not common in other places and still had an amazing time.
The food is good. It's a typical sauce joint type of menu in a modern setting. Our server was great and we enjoyed the food. Stop in during happy hour and you can get a good price on the happy hour food.
Fumo isn't your traditional Italian restaurant playing the instrumental music in the background. You're gonna go to Fumo and know you're in New York City. From the music to the patrons. It gives 21 century Italian. The service can be a little lax, but everything else makes up for it. I love the spritz it's delicious. The clams appetizers were broiled perfectly the sauce that accompanies them was rich and creamy. The Bronzino was flaky, buttery, and fresh.. Spinach It came with it was fresh not frozen. I ordered for myself ziti with the Bolognese sauce instead of regular marinara. It is one of the best cities I've ever had. The Bolognese sauce which is 100% beef not pork was Rich. It was smooth. It was creamy. The tomato sauce has bold flavors. The ziti was cooked. Al dente had a nice crisp bite to it. The cheese was bubbling that was in over the top. It's a huge portion size you're not gonna be able to finish all of that in just one sitting. They also have cannoli

I stopped in to try the $12 dollar pasta and I ended up falling in love with the Kale Caesar. It was perfectly made with fresh parmigiana and amazing croutons. The Penne Funghi was so comforting and freaky, the mushrooms were a perfect addition and honestly this was one of the best meals I've had in 2025. The ambiance was amazing for an afternoon lunch, the service was great. I highly recommend this for a random lunch or a date especially if you love pasta. I will be back again soon!

Woaaa! Their happy hour and $12 pastas are unbeatable. Originally stopped in to try their happy hour menu. We ordered the rice balls, mozzarella sticks, meatballs and pizza. Everything was $7 each. My favorites were the pizza and rice balls. Then, the server mentioned they're running the $12 pasta special. We ordered the Rigatoni Salsiccia, which had the most amazing tomato sauce with crumbled sausage. My only comment was that the noodles felt a little under done, but my partner said that's the more authentic way to enjoy pasta :) it's a personal preference so I'm not weighing that heavily in my review. Plus, the pasta portion was huge so great value here. The staff was kind and frequently checked in to refill our waters. In the evening, they dim the lights for a cozy vibe. I'd definitely return to Fumo! My friends highly recommend the Caesar salad, so that's next on my list!

Aromatic from beginning to end Carbonara pasta is not a dish I will order again. I am not sure if it is the peas or the cured meat used that is extra dry but it is a very greasy sauce to the point the flavor is drowned out The staff was very friendly even for pickup Cash gives you a discount BTW

For brunch, my friend and I opted for the bottomless option, which is a fantastic deal. I always order the Lox Pizza--it's absolutely to die for! My friend went with the breakfast sandwich, and we started with the burrata paired with prosciutto and fresh tomatoes. Everything was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The service was attentive, and the combination of the beautiful setting and amazing food makes for a great dining experience. Whether you're stopping in for a leisurely brunch or a laid-back dinner, Fumo never disappoints. Highly recommend!
I'm still thinking about the Roni pizza. A perfect mix of flavors over a crispy crust. 10/10

If you want affordable pasta with lots of options to choose from, come to Fumo! They have their $12 meal sets that comes with a salad of your choice and pasta plate of your choice! I believe I got a carbonara pasta while my partner had a meat pasta sort of dish (can't remember the names from the top of my head), but they were absolutely delicious and yes, they filled the pasta to the very brim. this spot has multiple locations but we had went to this one since my hair appointment was nearby! The place wasn't crowded even though it was a weekend and we walked in without needing a reservation. The waiters were casual and friendly and was offering us wine recommendations as well- which felt like a breath of fresh air given that this isn't a fancy expensive Italian place but rather a go to for casual and affordable dining. I look forward to eventually visiting the other locations and trying out new dishes! read more

I was craving pasta and found this place--and I'm glad I did! The pasta was really good, and the portions were generous. The ambiance is also nice and comfortable. I went on a weekday, so it wasn't crowded, which made for a very pleasant dining experience. Overall, a great spot for a satisfying pasta meal. read more

Unfortunately, they raised some of their prices. We came on a pasta Monday. The place was packed, but the service was fast though a little less attentive than I would have liked. They definitely were trying to turn over the tables quickly. The food is delicious and definitely a great price. The place was a good place to catch up and even though it was full, you could definitely maintain a good conversation with friends. Have been wanting to come to Fumo for a while now and am so glad we finally did! We stopped by during a weekday lunch and were pleasantly surprised. It was super busy! For a weekday! We ordered arugula salad with grilled chicken, eggplant parm and the rigatoni bolognese. And the crème brûlée for dessert. I was very pleasantly surprised by all the dishes ! They were delicious ! Why have we not been here earlier ? The lunch special pastas are definitely a great deal! read more

Fumo is always a go to restaurant for my family and I and the food is always delicious! We were unable to get a reservation online and after putting a notification on, the restaurant called us directly to let us know they can accommodate our party which was really appreciated. I ordered the chicken parm which was good and my brother got the veal chop special which was delicious and I hope they add to their normal menu! We shared a side of mushrooms which were so good as well. I ordered the Amelia cocktail which was too sweet in my opinion and I usually enjoy sweet drinks. Overall was a great experience and service is always excellent. read more
The pasta was insanely good (rigatoni gamberi and penne funghi). It is a little pricey at around $25 but the pasta was so yummy with huge pirtion sizes compared to other Italian places. Hands down one of the best I've been to and would come back again despite the price for it. The fried mozzarella was also really good although it did seem like a regular mozzarella stick. The pizza however was kind of a miss. It wasn't too cheesy or saucy and kind of disappointed. Everything else hit the spot though. The service was also good, everyone was very attentive to our needs and fellow diners around us. There was surprisingly a coat check! However a major caveat is the seating in the restaurant. The seats are individual small seats with open backs so you can't put your bag on the back of the seat, you have to try to hang it, as well as the many other bags we were carrying from shopping on UES. Very cramped. The tables were also quite small and barely held all of our food and drinks. When getting into or out of my seat, I also had to suck in my tummy and awkwardly squeeze in between tables to get to the seat is how crowded the seating was. Because we tables were that close we could also hear all the conversions of people next to us and vis versa which made for a bit of an awkward dining experience (unless you're into that) read more

It was my first time eating at FUMO and I was very pleased with my experience. Sundays and Mondays the pasta and pizza are heavily discounted but you still get the same portion of food! This was an important factor for my friend and I since we're both college students. She got a vegan pasta (which she said was a bit salty) and I got the kale caesar salad with shrimp which I liked. We got complementary bread as well for our meal. Overall the food was decent. Before 7pm the restaurant was well lit and they dimmed the lights later on during the night. The waiter was attentive and respectful and cracked jokes here and there. It was a nice night for us. read more
Ordered: Focaccia (~$7) Fried Calamari (~$19): served with marina sauce Chicken Parm (~$29): fried; substituted penne for spaghetti Tiramisu (~$11): ladyfingers, mascarpone, espresso Aya's take: Italian cuisine in NYC should be top tier so when we decided to grab dinner at Fumo, I expected it to be a solid meal. To start, definitely make a reservation; they were super busy at 6:30pm on a Friday and we were walked to our table right away upon arrival. They offered complimentary bread to start but there was nothing on the table to eat it with nor was it warm to enjoy on its own. We also ordered the Focaccia which I envisioned vastly different in my head. It was crispy, warm, but lacked flavor and texture you would typically get with focaccia. The Fried Calamari was crispy, well-seasoned, and fresh. Great portion for ~$19. Speaking of great portions, the Chicken Parm is huge! This can easily feed 2 people (I took about half of it home). My issue was the chicken was way overcooked, fried super hard, and difficult to eat. Under the chicken parm was a bed of pasta (I asked for spaghetti) which tasted fine. It sadly missed the mark for me. The Tiramisu was also better than expected and it was nice to end on a sweet note. read more

I highly recommend you make a Resy for Friday evening because it was crowded! I've been to other Fumo locations but this was my first time at this one. We went with the family for a birthday dinner and had a great time! Fabio look care of our party of 7 and he was great! Really personable and did not rush us. We got a bottle of wine and the rice balls for app. They were just okay; not sure if I'd get them again. I loved the penne funghi with shrimp. Others loved the penne alla vodka, lobster pasta and eggplant parm. The service was phenomenal; I was very impressed. Overall, great experience! Looking forward to coming back for half priced bottle of wine on Tuesdays or the $12 pasta lunch deal. read more

Starting this by saying the Alfredo in this place is really good. Ambience is amazing, service (when I was at the bar waiting for food) was amazing. Now, the reason why I am writing this review is because I spent $9 on a side of grilled shrimp. More specifically, only 4 SMALL pieces of shrimp... It is quite literally enough to put one North, East, West, and South of the plate. I would have expected more considering the price, at least 6-7 (Jokes aside). Just an extremely small portion considering the price. read more

I first tried Fumo on Valentine's Day and it was an enjoyable experience!! I made a reservation beforehand and was seated super quickly. Of note, they have a $25/per person cancellation fee for reservations, so you have to give them your card information when making a reservation. This wasn't an issue since I made it on time to my reservation/didn't cancel, but I likely wouldn't make a reservation in the future again because of this! I started off with the "Lucy" cocktail which was super delicious and had such a cute presentation! I was so happy to see the amount of vegan/gluten free options available, so definitely seems like a restaurant that can cater to varying needs! I had the vegan pesto pasta which was SO good. Definitely one of the more enjoyable vegan pestos I've had and great portion!! My dish came out cold-lukewarm, which was a little disappointing, but the flavor was overall good. The others at my table enjoyed the rigatoni Classico (marinara) and the penne Funghi!! They said the dishes were great, but they weren't offered the Parmesan cheese topping like other tables around us Overall, I really liked the vibe and food of this place. The service is super quick. The seating can be a little tight depending on where you're seated, but it's comfortable enough. I would return! read more
Came here for birthday event. I must say the food wasn't anything crazy to me, but the servers were very attentive and took care of anything requested. The seating was spacious and the view felt right on a good day. The truffle fries are great for a table order. The grilled salmon itself is delicious, I'd say do yourself a favor and ask to not have the kale. The kale is very acidic and taking a bite of it will have you looking like a lemon head. Wouldn't mind trying a different item on the menu. read more
