The three stars are for my experience at an event. It looks like a great place to take kids to…read morelearn about the environment and animals, etc. I would give it an extra star for the gorgeous views. It loses stars for the reasons stated below. For a more formal event, it's not ideal for older people especially. (those over 80 and those with any disability) There is a somewhat steep and uneven slope down to the Yurt area where the ground is flat but again, uneven and covered with hay. This caused shoes and feet to be covered in dust soon after arriving. This would be ok if wearing proper sneakers or others made for walking on that type of surface. Wearing the clothes we did, gave us no protection from ticks which the website indicated are prevalent there. In addition, the only restrooms are porta potties. This is a little rustic for a formal event and not so easy for people in wheel chairs. There is no lighting on this path back up to the parking lot. This is entirely unsafe after the sun has gone down. All of that said, I would recommend this venue for a school field trip where students are dressed appropriately and are visiting during daylight hours. I would not, however, recommend it for a formal event.

Nadia takes special care in where she places children around the room: friends next to each other, kids playing similar games next to each other, coding kids next to each other, etc.. Both of my children started summer camps there at age 7, and they always request to go back! My kids love the mix of gaming time with outdoor team activities- egg drop, capture the flag, etc... My younger son loves the coding program and is learning so much and he's very proud of what he can create with JavaScript. My older son is neurodivergent and feels totally supported, even when he changes his mind or needs different levels of involvement- the entire Esporterz team is Neuro-affirming and does a great job listening to each of their camper's needs. I always appreciate Nadia's clear communication and quick response time, she's very involved in all the best ways! We are extremely appreciative of the skills they are teaching our kids: it's not just sitting on a gaming screen all day, it's interacting with peers and gaining new skills. My kids can't wait to go back!

Both of my kiddos participated in the winter SF Adventure Camp for the first time this winter and…read moreall of us could not have been happier (and I have a tough crowd:) They have a wonderful crew and plan interesting activities for rain or shine. The kids came home happy, a little tired but not exhausted or crabby and couldn't stop talking about the fun things they did that day. The communication was on point, drop off and pick up was a breeze and they were all really well organized. You can tell that they have a solid game plan for each day/week. I also really enjoyed that my kiddos were able to attend the camp together - a rarity with their 3+ year age gap and that my 4 year old could attend the camp. I highly recommend this camp and appreciate Christian and the staff so much for being so wonderful. I cannot wait until their spring and summer camp dates are posted!

Enter Lauren, within the space of a few months, my oldest one is crossing the swimming pool at Mt. Tam confidently and jumping from the diving board and my youngest one has the tools to swim as well. Each week he gives me techniques to practice during the week. I have seen steady progress in my swimming skills, which has improved my outdoor hiking, and Spin classes. He is non-judgmental, and extremely kind and genuine as a person. I have seen him work with children and older adults with equal care, and consideration. He is a 10 on a 10 scale.

I would caution any parent considering this camp. I was asked to pick up a child whom I had never…read morepicked up before, and no one at the camp was familiar with me. When I arrived, I told the director, Tiger/Troy, which child I was there to pick up. Without any hesitation or apparent verification, he summoned the child over the walkie-talkie. He did not ask for my name, check my identification, confirm that I was authorized to pick up the child, or otherwise verify my identity. There was apparently no meaningful attempt to establish that I was the person I claimed to be before releasing a child to me. As a parent, I find this deeply disturbing. Child pickup and release should be one of the most basic and important safety procedures at a summer camp. A stranger should not be able to walk in, name a child, and have that child sent over without any identity or authorization check. What concerns me even more is that this was not a minor administrative oversight--it was a failure of a fundamental child-safety protocol. Parents entrust camps with their children expecting that there are safeguards in place to prevent exactly this kind of situation. I would strongly encourage parents to ask this camp exactly what procedures they have in place for verifying authorized pickups and whether those procedures are actually followed. Based on my experience, I would not feel comfortable relying on this camp to adequately protect a child during pickup.

Before No Limits, he often shied away from group games due to lack of confidence. He always was an active little boy, but not naturally inclined towards sports. No Limits has completely changed his perspective and approach to these things. It has proven to be a warm and welcoming environment that encourages new activities but also provides the needed down time after a long day at school. From scooter boards in the gym to legos and art, he is always engaged and entertained. The Neil Cummins staff (Taylor, Chris, and Kami) really get to know each kid. They pick up on personality traits and try to encourage and foster their strengths. The coaches are what makes this program above and beyond! You can't find a more flexible program that really understands the needs of working parents. Lastly, we just joined the Mountain Bike Club and my son can't get enough of this bike. I wish Camp Doodles was for adults! I want to have this much fun everyday! My son comes home…read morehappy and exhausted (just the way I like him!). He could only handle 3 hours of preschool, but after 7 hours of camp doodles, he doesn't want to come home! Every week is another theme, and every day is a mix of structured play and free choice time. Because they take over the entire Strawberry Point School, they have room to stretch out and have quiet play, art, nature hikes, relay races, hoola hoops (I picked one up and was super excited that I could still do it), and pretty much anything your camper can imagine. By the end of the first week, my son was a master at camp songs and leading the counselors in a round of "Boom Chicka Boom" (he's only 5). What do I think is the best part of Camp Doodles? The staff is nearly 50/50 men and women. Campers benefit from having super cool, big hearted older boys around, as well as the usual lovable girls. I have found the other campers to be a wonderful mix of ethnicities, economic backgrounds, and energy levels yet, they all gel perfectly and create a camp where every kid is a star!

This is an excellent camp and mountain biking program. We put two kids in the two week summer…read morecamp - 12 and 9 years old, a boy and a girl. The kids loved it and we could also see a real improvement in their riding skills. The coaches were great with the kids. The camp was very well organized so all kids were sorted into small groups appropriate for their riding ability - the rides were slightly different for each group but always challenging, always scenic, always instructive, and always fun. They made friends, they had fun, they worked hard, and they learned. What else can you ask for as a parent?
