It looks like a great place to take kids to…read morelearn about the environment and animals, etc. I would give it an extra star for the gorgeous views. It loses stars for the reasons stated below. For a more formal event, it's not ideal for older people especially. (those over 80 and those with any disability) There is a somewhat steep and uneven slope down to the Yurt area where the ground is flat but again, uneven and covered with hay. This caused shoes and feet to be covered in dust soon after arriving. This would be ok if wearing proper sneakers or others made for walking on that type of surface. Wearing the clothes we did, gave us no protection from ticks which the website indicated are prevalent there. In addition, the only restrooms are porta potties. This is a little rustic for a formal event and not so easy for people in wheel chairs. There is no lighting on this path back up to the parking lot. This is entirely unsafe after the sun has gone down. All of that said, I would recommend this venue for a school field trip where students are dressed appropriately and are visiting during daylight hours. I would not, however, recommend it for a formal event.

They somehow manage to wrangle a pack of hyped-up kids, keep everyone happy and make it look effortless. They even put up personalized birthday signs with Harrison's name, which was such a sweet surprise. The parties run smoothly, all the kids have an absolute blast playing the games of their choosing, and parents get a stress-free two hours. Harrison is already campaigning to attend their holiday and summer camps, which tells you everything you need to know. Highly recommend Esporterz!!!

The kids came home happy, a little tired but not exhausted or crabby and couldn't stop talking about the fun things they did that day. The communication was on point, drop off and pick up was a breeze and they were all really well organized. You can tell that they have a solid game plan for each day/week. I also really enjoyed that my kiddos were able to attend the camp together - a rarity with their 3+ year age gap and that my 4 year old could attend the camp. I highly recommend this camp and appreciate Christian and the staff so much for being so wonderful. I cannot wait until their spring and summer camp dates are posted!

There is swimming and storytelling and hiking and game playing and exercise and arts and crafts etc. My very active (and easily bored) 7 year old comes back from camp each day filled with stories of his day and excited to go back the next day. He could only handle 3 hours of preschool, but after 7 hours of camp doodles, he doesn't want to come home! Every week is another theme, and every day is a mix of structured play and free choice time. Because they take over the entire Strawberry Point School, they have room to stretch out and have quiet play, art, nature hikes, relay races, hoola hoops (I picked one up and was super excited that I could still do it), and pretty much anything your camper can imagine. By the end of the first week, my son was a master at camp songs and leading the counselors in a round of "Boom Chicka Boom" (he's only 5). What do I think is the best part of Camp Doodles? The staff is nearly 50/50 men and women. Campers benefit from having super cool, big hearted older boys around, as well as the usual lovable girls. I have found the other campers to be a wonderful mix of ethnicities, economic backgrounds, and energy levels yet, they all gel perfectly and create a camp where every kid is a star!

The kids loved it and we could also see a real improvement in their riding skills. The coaches were great with the kids. The camp was very well organized so all kids were sorted into small groups appropriate for their riding ability - the rides were slightly different for each group but always challenging, always scenic, always instructive, and always fun. They made friends, they had fun, they worked hard, and they learned. What else can you ask for as a parent?
