Old and tired is the best description I can give of this Inn. Carpets are threadbare, the shower had black mold on the caulking and hair under the shower matt in an old fashioned tub. I swear the blankets were the same ones my grandmother had in her house 50 years ago. Our room had access to the front balcony, but it was covered with dust, pollen, and dirt and was not usable without cleaning everything ourselves. The continental breakfast was packaged muffins from the store that did not look appetizing. We went to the wonderful Southern Pie Bakery for some delicious muffins just a few doors down. If you come to the lovely town of Chester, stay at the Inn Victoria, which was wonderful when we stayed last time. We won't make that mistake again. read more

This is a quaint inn with some nostalgic charm. It's clean and comfortable, but not luxurious. The floors are not level, the bed isn't a Simmons Posturpedic, and there's no elevator to get to the rooms. The breakfast is coffee, bagels, muffins, and yogurt. If you want more, then you'll have to get it somewhere else. The dinner we had was very tasty and our waitresses, Kiahna and Chloe, were very friendly. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. We visited the Fullerton Inn yesterday while in the area for lunch and had a great time. The day was beautiful so we were seated at the patio, where we could catch the sides as we dined. There was a wonderful breeze which made it comfortable to eat. Our server was Chloe and she was so sweet and helpful. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak which came in a toasted roll, served with peppers and onions. I ordered the onion rings which were ok, a bit over done for my taste. The cheesesteak was really good, I enjoyed it. While we sat waiting for our food, the table had a box of trivia cards which we enjoyed playing as we waited. read more

The Inn is run down, "continental breakfast" was abysmal at best, the bed in room 10 is terribly hard as were the pillows which smelled somewhat musty. The porch associated with room 10 needs a massive cleaning. We stayed a few nights but were asked to get off the front porch because a car show was going to take place at 6:00 pm. 5 cars showed up for the show. We were staying there and "he" asked us to get off the deck due to the car show about to happen. We didn't bother to order anything and went up to sit on our dirty porch. The street noise at night, each night, was terrible. The good part was a wonderful dinner and the wait staff was great. I would never stay there again. read more

I live locally and really want to be able to recommend our businesses. I have been 3 times prior to this review and the experiences were quite mixed. The first two visits were in Fall and then the winter. Service was excellent and the menu was small but everything g our party got was well executed. We had butternut squash ravioli, salads, burgers, fettuccini, wings and fish and chips. The Brussels sprouts were not so well done. They were described as crispy and roasted but were mushy. The seasoning was good and this was the case both times. Our spring meal was on the deck and we waited an incredibly long time for menus and water. When the water arrived my friend's glass had lipstick all over it. Thank goodness we showed her before she drank from it. Got the Brussels sprouts again and this time they were covered in so much balsamic goop it was hard to find them. The calamari was decent and my friends' pasta dishes, burgers and fish were okay. Nothing spectacular. Service was friendly but extremely slow. Yes the place is old and dated but it's Vermont and the Inn is a historic building. read more

We had a absolutely wonderful New Year's dinner. It was kind of a last minute thing as I was happy to just chill at home. But my hubby said let's go out, not expecting to find anything available we happened to have lunch here the day before and saw a flyer for their New Year's dinner. As luck would have it they had availability, I'm so glad we went! Our dinner was excellent, all 5 courses with wine pairings. The service was excellent and the chef stopped by to explain each course as well as the wine selection. I like this place, the decor might be a little outdated but it's clean, cheerful, attentive, welcoming, friendly and dinner was fabulous in every way!! I don't know how on earth this place only has three stars. We had a fabulous lunch, with great service, in an equally beautiful bluebird day. With the pandemic having kept us home for some time, and with New England's pandemic status allowing us a bit more freedom, we decided that every weekend, we'd go tour our local area, with masks, disinfectant, wipes, sanitizer and additional PPE on hand. Our third week of touring was mostly in Vermont. We came in from New Hampshire after touring Acton and Chesterfield, and by that time we were hungry. So we stopped in the charming and iconic town of Chester. After walking around for a half hour, we decided on a place to eat. The Fullerton was open, with beautiful veranda seating, scrupulous sanitation and more than expected social distancing. We often just pass by Chester on the way to Okemo so this was a wonderful way to get to know the town. We were seated on the spot although the place was starting to fill up and a large group was asked to wait. The Maître d' was quite affable and chuckled when I opened up my side bag with enough disinfectant to outfit a small hospital. Our waitress was also superb. I started with a Fiddlehead microbrew IPA which was delicious. We then ordered our lunch, I had a sumptuous Chef Salad; my husband had an equally superb burger. After lunch, we had a superb walk in the village, visiting different stores, admiring the amazing architecture of some of the old buildings, now beautifully restored and looking over an old cemetery with several dozen graves dating to the War for Independence and the Civil War. This little town of chester puts a lot of time and effort into decorating. My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night the first weekend of October. It came to $200. Our room was very small with and outdoor porch which you share with the room next door. The walls are thin so you do hear the cars driving by at night. This place is 100 years old so be aware the rooms are small and the place is old but kept up very well. The only disappointment I had was the continental breakfast. The did not have eggs meat and potatoes. Which for $200 a night expected. The staff was very polite and curtious. The lunch menu and dinner menu is VERY affordable. Lobby was the best thing this hotel had going for it. Old- Dated- in need of serious attention. Exterior is in poor condition. Carpet up the main stairs and in room was dirty and worn. Bed spread was old and looked to be some sort of faded chenille material. Room was so musky and air was thick with humidity. Do not stay in room #10. Tiny room- Old- dark- musky and dirty carpeting. Balcony and furniture off the room was filthy and in very poor condition. Owner, Rob moved us to a different room, that he called a suite. Grateful for hardwood floors in the "suite" verses dirty carpeting but the bathroom had paint peeling off the walls and ceiling. Not sure how this hotel could pass a local inspection by building and codes. The Owner should stay in room #10 to see what he has his guests subjected to. Do Not stay here...hotel needs to be closed for major renovations and not open to the public. read more

I recently stayed at the Fullerton Inn in Chester Vermont this July on a spare of the moment trip that was unplanned. Found the Inn on hotels.com but my internet was was bad so I could not read much about it or book online so I called . The woman who answered was friendly and said she had lots of rooms available and the prices were the same as online. We asked about food as we were hungry from being on the road. She said the restaurant is open. We arrived about an hour later. A man and a woman were both working the front. Turns out the cook is also an inn keeper and a host and a waiter. Checked in , paid asked for a reservation for a table outside. She said ok like twenty mins. So we went up stairs to freshen up and drop off luggage . The old carpets in the hall smelled like your grandmothers home, and like smoke. Walking up the stairs a dog started barking from one of the rooms and scared the b Jesus out of me as it said no dogs allowed . After not hearing from anyone we went back down stairs . I had never stayed at an Inn before but had worked at two well know ones in my area as a house keeper and waitstaff. So I thought this would be a special stay with a nice dinner. We're sat at the table outside . The chairs did not go with the table as I'm 5'2" and the table was too high to even rest my arm on . We wanted to order a drink since it was a special occasion . The waitress said what would you like I said a blue Hawaiian. She said we don't have that . I said a bahama mama ? Nope . Sex on the beach ? no. Sorry I said what do you have ?! She said let me go get a drink menu, it literally had 3 strange mixed drinks , beer and wine. She said she just got her bartending license?!. Since this place advertises a lounge bar can't someone make a mixed drink ? You tube has many quick recipes . Literally had to beg for a mixed drink and there were no prices listed ! So the waitress finally comes back over and we order an app. French onion soup and an entree of pork chop. I mention I have a nut allergy. Two hours pass . Literally. No bread and butter . No app. This was the start of the worst stay I've ever had . Should have got up and left but we were too tired and hungry. The food came out. The app and the food together. I just looked at the French onion soup. Just broth . The waitress says the croutons had nuts. Who uses croutons?! What croutons have nuts ? MY S.O. Had croutons and his looked just as bad . It was cold . The main meal was small and cold and the brussel sprouts were not cooked all the way and the pork chop was burnt. I have never left any restaurant still hungry . The food was bad and I was still hungry . Restaurant bill $130. $60 was 4 drinks that we don't even think had alcohol. Was unable to order a coffee or soda to take to the room. The waitress could not even bother to get a water to take to the room. I forgot my phone charger and asked if they had an extra so we could watch tv on my tablet . The bad was very old and too soft. You sink in and can't get out. At least the room had ac .the bath room and shower were super small. Went to shut off the ac when we left and there was mouse poop. Went down for breakfast .fruit bagel English muffin yogurt coffee orange juice. I chose bagel cream cheese and coffee. I was starving by this point .I have never had a salty bagel with salty cream cheese . Couldn't eat that either. . Both times coming down the stairs I tripped on the un even floor and almost went flying . If you have a hard time with stairs or a larger person this is not the place for you . I was not going to leave a review. It it's been over a week I really had to think about this, I looked over all the websites and I feel like I was cat fished ! The place looks nothing like the photos as they were from ten years ago and different owners ! . I spent the next three nights in a 2.5 star slum hotel in NY . The Wyndham and it was better than this place by far ! We had tv , a mini fridge a comfy bed . They gave us water and granola bars when we arrived ! This was the worst stay I've ever had. I would give negative amount of stars if possible. I do not recommend this place to anyone . PS- two people voted this review unhelpful . Prolly the owners . This represents my experience 100 percent like it or not , owners need to fix problems and give people respect and service when paying for service at their establishment. Stayed at the Fullerton Inn over the Thanksgiving holiday. The room was clean and nicely furnished. We ate one dinner in the Pub section of the restaurant and on Thanksgiving day we enjoyed the Thanksgiving buffet brunch. The food was excellent and the service was good. The Review of the Stay @ the Inn: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We had room #12, which was quaint with a queen bed & personal bathroom (toilet & stall shower). The cons were somewhat expected of an older inn with its old, original charm, such as: a weird noise coming from the wall by the pedestal sink all night, hearing the next room's water running/toilet flushing & no TV or phone. I understand that it's the whole idea, but if you are looking for certain accomodations (including a hair dryer or a bathroom that has the sink in the same room instead of in the open), it's just fine. The A/C was on the older side but worked OK. I was worried about the ceiling fan killing us being on a high speed, as it was rocking side to side when we entered the room. That got turned off ASAP. The only other thing about this particular room is that the only window (with mini blinds that need desperate replacing) is at the end of the upstairs balcony where people were literally sitting RIGHT THERE. Some groups were outside of our window talking until nearly midnight. The room was definitely clean & had what we needed. It was quiet otherwise & we slept well. The continental breakfast was pretty limited/inexpensive & included some bagels, yogurt, oatmeal packs, apples, oranges, some OJ, water & coffee. They do allow bringing drinks/cocktails to the room if you wish (charge to the room). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Review of the Tavern/Restaurant: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We did not know that the weekend that we made reservations was the same as the annual Fall Fest that they do all weekend. We believe this added to how busy the restaurant was when it came to dinner. It was highly suggested that reservations be made, but when we asked ahead of time earlier in the day when we were able to check in a little bit before 3pm, it didn't sound like an issue. We had no preference on where we sat or ate, but we did call ahead around 5:45 to see if 6:15 would be a good reservation time, which sounded like an unnecessary reservation to make). We came downstairs from our room at that time only to find that we couldn't be seated for another 20 mins. That was for the outdoor seating/beer garden event that was ongoing from the Fall Fest. We were a little bit confused & Patti had seemed annoyed with us when we said we were confused, but then seated us outside on the front porch. Tensions seemed high all over. Our waitress, Jaden, was bustin' her butt & was super pleasant. I even give a lot of kudos to Patti for having to deal with a large group of drunk patrons that were demanding a table ASAP but also being completely belligerant & flat out obnoxious. She kept her cool the best that she could & was definitely trying to accommodate them (though half of them kept walking off & doing their own thing). The food was good. He had a burger & I had the bacon ranch chicken sandwich. The fries were so crispy & delicious, though there wasn't a great deal of them. That was okay with us, as the portion was perfect. I doubt we will be back considering we have no need to be in the area again, but it was nice to be in a simple town such as Chester, VT at a B&B. read more

Went to the Fullerton Inn with my sister & her hubby for Thanksgiving Dinner. We had reservations for 1pm and were seated promptly in the tavern section of the restaurant in front of a blazing fireplace-so cozy. Lorraine did an exceptional job of serving us. There was a limited menu for the holiday. We started with cocktails-a Salted Caramel Martini for me and a Thanksgiving Margarita for Janie. Both were delicious. For appetizers, 2 of us had the Maple Butternut Bisque which was so thick and yummy. Pete had the Fullerton Greens Salad which had craisins, mandarin oranges & nuts over the greens. We all had the traditional Turkey dinner-a generous serving of moist Turkey, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and stuffing with gravy, of course. The vegetable blend included carrots, beets & parsnips. Very good. We all had the chocolate Mousse for dessert which came with berries and whipped cream. Pete had vanilla ice cream to go with his dessert. We all enjoyed our meals. No complaints from any of us. read more

This is about our stay at the inn, not about the restaurant. We stayed here last night, and got TRAPPED in our room. The door had been sticking a bit for the days we were here, but last night -- humidity, maybe? -- it was not possible to open it from the inside. Believe me, we tried. We get up early, and from 4:30AM to 7:30 we were unable to get out. Finally the day manager arrived and listened to our phone messages and came upstairs. He opened the door from the outside -- easy to do with a bit of a shoulder push or equivalent -- but more or less shrugged the incident off: "That door sticks a bit". He then opened it from the inside, which proved NOTHING since it had already been released from whatever was sticking badly. After some back and forth he has put us in a different (smaller, less comfortable) room for tonight. He spoke with the owner -- some mysterious person whose name the manager is not allowed to give to the guests (but possibly our lawyer can find out who it is) -- and the owner is going to refund us for last night, meaning one of the three nights we will have spent here. We don't consider that adequate recompense for having been sealed in a room for three hours. But, like the Wizard of Oz, the owner is behind a curtain, so to speak, and the day manager just relays the owner's decisions. The door sticking slightly may be charming and quaint. Being trapped in your room IS NOT CHARMING OR QUAINT. The push-back from the manager was unpleasant and a waste of our time. If you must stay here, avoid room 10. I think it's extremely unlikely that they'll fix it; the attitude seems to be a kind of "Works for me!" reaction, rather than, say, calling in a carpenter. I'll add that this has soured us on the hotel in general. Reading reviews about how badly maintained and ill-equipped it was used to make me feel defensive on the hotel's behalf. I don't know what's happened recently -- it was much more pleasant last year -- but it really isn't the find I thought it was in the past. read more

Quaint Inn and it was rebuilt in 1922. Rooms are outdated and very small. Bathrooms were not super clean. Service at the bar started out well with Nancy and then everyone just disappeared. We had to look for help when we were ready to order. Finally Cody offered service. Brett seemed to have an odd disposition and wasn't very friendly. Vermont is beautiful and the changing of the seasons was amazing. I probably wouldn't stay here again. read more

For the life of me I do not understand why this place has even three stars. If I could rate it less than one star I would. - they would not allow our well behaved dog even though they had plenty of outside seating. We couldn't leave her in the car in the heat so we ended up ordering takeout. For being in a very dog friendly state, this restaurant lacked in any accommodations for pets. - they told us 10 to 15 minutes for our food. It ended up being 45 minutes - my husband got the burger... It said it came with fries but I think he got about five fries? See the photo. The burger itself was barely cooked and was somehow cold. Ugh. - I got the Vermont bacon salad. I added chicken to it for protein. When we finally got our order there was no chicken and the salad was so small it could barely qualify as an appetizer. I have had bigger salads at Wendy's at Chick-fil-A. Don't go here. Rude staff, a slow kitchen, bad portions, and tasteless food. read more

We arrived at the Fullerton Inn with another couple on Saturday, 10/29. Check-in is at 3 o'clock but we did some other things prior to arriving and I think we checked in at around 5:15. One couple had a room with a porch and one did not. We were informed of a Halloween parade that would be taking place at 5:40! We were thrilled. We sat on the porch and watched the parade, then walked over to the bonfire to look at all the decorated car trunks for trunk or treat. It was a very nice surprise. The inn is a beautiful old building right on the Main Street. The rooms are small, but have everything you need, including a hairdryer which I forgot to bring. Note that there are no televisions in the room. I was thrilled, my husband, not so much! We ate When we got back from trunk or treat. I was a little sensory overstimulated and Lorraine was kind enough to seat us in a quiet room at my request. I also was not hungry at all due to circumstances beyond my control. Lorraine was also kind enough to make me a personal charcuterie board for my meal. Thank you Lorraine! . All of the staff that we encountered were very nice. The only disappointment was that the new(?) gift shop next-door wasn't opening until November 1, and the fabric store a couple of doors down was closed on Sunday and we only did an overnight trip. Unfortunate, as I am a quilter / fabric hoarder and I could see lovely Moda fabrics through the windows. Sadly, I see that the fabric store is closing in November. I hope that Chester, along with the rest of the country can pull it together after the pandemic. It's a lovely town with lovely people and great costumes! If you are looking to stay at a place rich with history, rather than a resort type hotel, I highly recommend the Fullerton Inn. It's lovely. read more

Quant Vermont Inn. This spot was exactly what we needed on a fall evening. Our server, Chloe was excellent. Her energy and spirit added to our dining experience. We started the meal with maple wings that we order extra crisp. The wings were served with warm vermont maple syrup. Yum!! The chicken salad was nicely put together and modeled after a Waldorf salad. The Rueben burger was made with the perfect amount of Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and thousand island dressing. The Fullerton burger was made with the right amount of mushroom, onion and blue cheese. We ended our meal with an outstanding maple cream pie slice by from the local Southern Pie co. We will definitely be back! read more

Location seems very quaint with large outdoor porch seating. We were greeted nicely by one waitress who told us there may be a few minute wait as all tables were full. We had no issue with waiting. After 20 min of waiting a second waitress came out. She rudely asked 'can I help you?' We replied 'we are waiting for a table' to which she replied ' well then I cannot help you because we do not have any tables.' We watched her drop at least 3 checks to tables before even telling us this which was so surprising she could not even have made us feel even slightly welcomed. I found her behavior to be unjustifiably rude and Unaccommodating to a guest wanting to spend money in their establishment. Once we were seated we joked with the rude waitress Sue to brake the ice stating 'can you help us now? and laughed to which she raised her voice at us telling us we could go somewhere else and then stormed off while slamming the drink menu on our table and walked away. Not only did I feel extremely uncomfortable but was extremely embarrassed as there was a guest full of patrons eating there at the time. To our benefit we received another waitress who was very pleasant but was noticeably uncomfortable as it was clear the previous waitress Sue had a frank conversation about her not wanting to wait on us prior to her asking us what we would like to order. The food was fine nothing amazing. I had the special steak and cheddar wrap with sautéed onions and mushrooms and fries. Fries were super crispy and good. Wrap was fine however it had Gorgonzola or blue cheese on it instead of cheddar and had some sort of garlic in it as well. Our friend had the crispy chicken sandwich that she said was good with fries She enjoyed it. Had 10 beers on tap and nice outdoor covered seating. I'm not sure I may be back. It was clear that we were not well received by some staff and it made our overall experience slightly uncomfortable. read more

We were hungry and this was the only place open close by, seated fairly quickly. After ordering the three of four meals came out and the fourth never made it. I ordered a build your own burger, beef -well done, mushrooms, provolone, and jalapeños, substituting fries for chips. Fries overcooked, brown bordering on black and crispy and dry and powdery on the inside. Could not find any mushrooms and two jalapeños. Burger flavor and texture was ok. Food and drinks were delicious! I enjoyed the French onion soup and Mitch's maple wings immensely. For the holidays they had "12 drinks of Christmas". I sampled the merry berry whiskey, vixens cider mimosa, the butterscotch tini, and the holiday whiskey all of which were incredible our server, Lorraine was also fantastic! Last night was our second for dinner at the Fullerton Inn since new ownership. In an area screaming for decent food options, we had hoped to support their efforts even with a limited non-meat menu. Currently undergoing a reshuffling of management, wait staff, and the addition of a new chef, we expected some glitches. Sadly, we were presented with a frustrated, unfriendly waitress, a bevy of unavailable menu options-leaving me only the typical "salad" as my entree-a mismanaged bar (our friends drinks were served but not ours. No mention was made of the keg running dry at the time. Much later, when we finally inquired after them again, were we told,) and a delayed dinner delivery. As we had chosen to dine there, and invited our friends, I made apologies to them throughout the evening. I know they are striving for improvement, but I can't say that we will be back in the upcoming future. Who wants to plan an evening out, and spend money on, a meal and atmosphere that is not pleasant or accommodating? Hoping they get their act together because the community so needs some choices when it comes to dining out. read more

First of all the service was decent, the server was nice and well informed. The food was horrible. When you order a fried chicken bacon sandwich you expect a nice piece of chicken , fresh bacon and a soft fluffy bun. What you get is a .50 chicken patty from the freezer section of the local grocery store, microwave bacon and unfortunately a cheap tasteless bun. The $5 up charge for 6 onion rings was not a good choice. The $30 filet we got with 3 asparagus and a plop of I guess you could call it mashed potatoes but it looked and tastes like they just took out the insides of a baked potato and plopped it ok the plate. We recently stayed unexpectedly at the Inn and seriously cannot day enough about the owners and staff. They were more than accommodating and helped us more than what could have ever been expected. We ordered a large food order to go for 25 people an hour before closing and the everything was delicious, hot and they were SO great about getting us what we need. Wandered in looking for food after a day of skiing. Wasn't expecting much, just a decent bite. Ended up blown away by the food. The potato skins of the day were bacon and white cheddar. They had the crunch of a potato chip, with the fullness of a baked potato. The beet salad was nice and fresh, the bread was very flavorful, and the peanut butter pie was to die for. Lovely little spot in center of town. Pleasant staff. Comfortable. Nice continental style breakfast.

In the past the Fullerton Inn restaurant and Tavern has been a quaint, enjoyable place to eat. Tonight, my family and I had the worst experience in a restaurant I have had in a long time!!!! I want to make sure others are aware- don't waste your money at this establishment until there are some MAJOR changes. To begin, my mom and I miscommunicated about how many would be in our party. When I went to let the host, Rich know of the error he rolled his eyes, shook his head, pretty much had a reaction I would expect from a teenager. I asked him "is this a problem, would you like us to take our business elsewhere?" He said "I just need you to appreciate how much work went into setting up a table for 13- it's very labor intensive " I said "I am sorry we had a miscommunication" someone else tried to intervene and make things right and he cut them off- told me it would be fine, we were seated. Almost all the meals we ordered had to be sent back- the chicken tenders were raw in the center- not just pink but raw, the beef Wellington was overly rare. When we left the host Rich was sitting on the couch in the lobby- no goodbye, no how was your meal. Very sad for the town of Chester to have lost a reputable eatery that's been a staple in the community for so many years. read more

A very traditional New England inn vibe. Cozy room, fireplace felt nice on a cold winter day. I had the special, a very nice veggie lasagna. Service was attentive, price very reasonable. Will definitely be back! read more

The restaurant really needs an update to the menu. Ate dinner there 10/31.20 and both entrees were terrible. Cod was served in a dish with a bunch of wine and butter with very little seasoning so it was incredibly bland. Chicken pot pie had very little chicken in it, as a matter of fact it had 3 very small pieces. Also was served cold. I will not be going back for dinner. read more

Went to the quaint hotels restaurant we've past many times for a new years eve celebration. Made reservations and arrived only to find out the grey edge as broken for 2 1\2 weeks. No chicken fingers or fries for the kids. Asked for burgers well done and came back rare \ medium rare. Very disappointed in a long awaited meal at the Inn. No apologies given. In January 2012, I spent several weeks in Chester, Vermont. The only reason I would return is because of the Fullerton Inn. The innkeeper, Patti, is kindness personified. I have watched her interact with locals, guests and strangers with equal compassion ; in my 40+ years of worldwide travelling, I have experienced such acts of genuine generosity and kindness only one other time, and that was in Genoa, Italy. Patti has a deep understanding of a person's needs. Such talent is impossible to find in this vicious vortex known as "mankind". The cuisine is fantastic. I have gone (almost) every night for their signature French Onion Soup. Where do I begin? Juicy burgers with your choice of several cheeses and a heap o' toppings. Side salads that could feed most of Rhode Island. Battered onion rings that, when dipped into one of the many homemade dressings., take a the true meaning of "savory". (I am addicted to the blue cheese dressing.) Calamari, lightly battered and fried ever-so-lightly, with hot peppers. or not. Chicken wings with a choice of coating...maple? Yes! And seconds, please. Put me against a wall and tell me I could only order one dish. Steak au Poivre, rare. As I type, my mouth waters. Self-taught Chef Randi is flawless. Her skills, her crew, her kitchen, put most of Madhattan's five-star eateries to shame. The Inn itself harks back to times when the pace was s.l.o.w...times to relax in front of roaring fireplaces and enjoy peace and quiet. Welcome to the generous lobby. this inn was very nice and quaint... we loved staying here, the room had a few things that needed to be fixed the air conditioner didn't really work and the shower curtain on the bottom was pretty moldy the bed was kind of like you were going down the hill so we had to sleep at the foot of the bed but it was very cozy and pretty clean.. the restaurant we enjoyed the food a lot, the waitress Laureen she was really not that efficient she made us wait quite a while she kept forgetting things that we ordered and it was a little frustrating.. but the staff overall was very nice ..Katie at the front desk was amazing! we would stay here again maybe in another room.. the continental breakfast was OK but tue coffee taste like water, we Add to go down the street to find a place to buy a good cup of coffee other than that it was fair..bagels, yogurt and fruit.. read more
