Let me say it was the Best Decision ever to purchase our 1st Home together in Yorba Linda, summer of 2015. My husband and I looked at Hones in other great cities, Irvine, Cypress to name a few and even looked to stay in Fullerton/Near Troy HS. We were looking literally almost 5 years. When we looked in Yorba Linda, i just knew of this city as the well known Richard Nixon Library along with it being his birthplace. Never thought I'd be raising our little humans here. It's been almost 8 years living at the Land of the Gracious Living. And loving every second of it. Watching our kids grow, meeting and going to school with other great families. The neighbors are all so friendly and even strangers that ends up being friends. Everyone is all so welcoming since we moved here and we have made other new families feel welcoming. I haven't heard any negativity from anyone that has moved to our town. It's quite a bummer reading other reviews about Yorba Linda stating it's a snobby town. I highly recommend looking into purchasing here in YL. You'll get your moneys worth for the amount of land you get. When we moved here in 2015 the town hasn't had much development as of big stores. Until In 2017 i would like to say. We finally have our own Yorba Linda Town center right next to Old Town Yorba Linda Main Street. It's a beautiful town center with our very own Regal theater. Our new Public Library is a beautiful place to visit for books & other children department programs they have to offer. The city is definitely a knit tight community. I grew up almost basically my entire like in Fullerton and I didn't feel a sense of closeness for the less than 8 years I've been here as much as I feel living in Yorba Linda. We have so many parks also. The biggest addition to one of the best parks is we recently just had our newly renovated Adventure Playground added to one of our parks. Definitely a Must visit! It's a pretty safe city to raise or begin a family here. The school ratings was definitely one of the reason why we chose to bought our 1st home here.

Costa Mesa City Hall right across the OC Fairgrounds. It's very easy to find with plenty of accessible parking spots as well as a couple electric car charging stations. When you walk in, you must check in with the front desk with a photo ID and the nice clerk or security guard will directly you to whichever floor you're going to. The elevator is secure so the Scott employees must use their card keys to get you to your floor. This particular day, I was going to Parks & Community Services for a park rental permit. I had done most of my preparation and research by looking online for park amenities and availabilities and had called in a few times to clear questions. The lady at the front desk was super helpful. Since I was had a larger gathering with sports and games at Estancia Park, I needed prior approval from the Parks & Community Services manager. The approval was easy and I just needed to complete the form(s) and pay. The only issue I had was that I came in on a Friday a bit before they closed and Apple Pay (or any electronic payment for that matter) wasn't accepted. Make sure you have a physical credit card, your checkbook or cold hard cash with you. Fortunately, the nice lady offered to keep my park rental application so I can return to pay first thing Monday. You want to try to book which ever rental facility asap because they all fill up pretty quickly (especially the facilities with restrooms or tables) and it's first come, first paid. Luck for me, it all worked out great the following Monday and my gathering went off without a hitch at Estancia Park. It was a beautiful day at the park with my friends and family! The city is in a financial downhill, lots of issues in the streets and parks. If you suggest or speak up on issues that will help (professionally of course) they shut you down. If you're part time, honoring the required hours they still treat you like CRAP. It's way too old school of a culture & mindset which is why the city is where it's at. Tony Gallegos is one main prime example from parks maintenance. Too old to lead or TO adapt to multiple environments and changes. He is closed to change and changing times/dynamics. He doesn't care about your plans outside of work and he wants your whole life around a measly 19 hours a week part time job. He has a BAD attitude and is so unprofessional. If you suggest meetings, rather than mitigate an easy fix problem, they just get rid of you. They even fired a coworker with no just cause. No warnings or coaching. It's mostly a money deal since he was due for a cola raise and annual raise. There was no performance based issues. We were there for two years. Serving our community proudly since we live in the area.

We would grab drinks at one of the nearby bars and then walk on the bike trail afterwards. Then we would head over to the pier to enjoy the ocean breeze. Newport Pier was constructed in the 1940s and replaced the original pier that was built in the 1800s. It is 1,032 feet long and made of mostly wood. Today, Newport Pier is a place for people to fish or to go on a stroll while enjoying the sunny weather and the fresh ocean breeze. Even through this area is touristy, I still like this pier because it is not as crazy packed as some of the other popular piers like the ones in Santa Monica or in Huntington. It has been some time since I have visited Newport Beach. I was recently in town and grabbed a bite at the Crab Cooker. I caught a beautiful sunset while walking on the Newport Pier. Not much has changed around here since I was last in town. The Life Guard Headquarters and Dory Fleet still reside at the base of the pier. There are gift shops and restaurants within walking distance. I was able to grab some great photos of the sunset before heading out. I enjoyed my quick visit and walk down memory lane while passing through Newport Beach.

The departments seemed to have very friendly staff. I was a senior, gay secretary which, according to the set conservative standards, did not bode well with the educated professionals. Their abuse became unbearable and was negatively affecting my life. I I'm pretty sure that I could have had grounds for a lawsuit however it was difficult to find attorneys who would pursue a lawsuit with this department I'm assuming because there wouldn't be a lot of fast Cash immediate cash. At the end of it all these arrogant beasts made me feel as if I had just been beaten that they had physically beaten and gotten away with it. Not a good place for LGBT, transgender people. None of what I've said is false, there is a report which will support my claim.

For example, finding out the difference between a commissioner and a judge. Finding out that the district attorneys office may do an offer, and the public defenders office can also give an offer, and sometimes the judge or commissioner can give an offer! One may recall paying fines, and a very long line outside, those days are gone from what I've observed, even the rope barriers aren't needed for now short lines. But for today, since the person I accompanied pleaded "Not Guilty" & Extending another court date to late September.

Not the worst social security office experience I've had…read more Didn't have an appointment and waited an hour to be called up. Not terrible. I've waited longer at social security office before. I did the application while I was waiting and that made it quick once I got to the window. It took 10 minutes from that point and I was in and out.
