This morning I was diagnosed with shingles on my face, and my doctor wanted me to see an…read moreoptometrist right away to make sure it hadn't spread to my eyes. After leaving the office, I started calling around trying to find someone who could see me the same day. After a bit of a hunt, I found Oklahoma City Vision. The receptionist was super nice and told me to just come on in since I was already nearby instead of waiting an hour and a half for my appointment time. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted right away. Both receptionists were so friendly, and I was called back about 10 minutes after checking in. The tech who helped me was amazing--so kind, knowledgeable, and familiar with autoimmune conditions. She took her time going through my medical history and made me feel really comfortable. After she finished, I only waited a few minutes before Dr. Pitts came in. He was so patient, kind, and detail-oriented. I've been getting annual eye exams for over 30+ years, and I've never had a doctor be so thorough or explain things in such detail. Usually, I get my exam, grab my prescription, and leave--but this visit was completely different. Right away, Dr. Pitts noticed I had severe dry eyes and actually took the time to talk through past treatments and new options besides just eye drops (which never seem to be covered by insurance anyway!). I had no idea there were other treatments available, so that was a really pleasant surprise. Thankfully, the shingles hadn't spread to my eyes, so I decided to go ahead and do my regular exam. Dr. Pitts showed me the images of my eyes and explained everything so clearly. I told him I hate driving at night because I can't see well, and he figured out it was because of my previous prescription! He explained exactly what needed to be fixed. I couldn't remember what vision insurance I had, and I planned on paying out of pocket. I told the tech this as well. She started naming vision insurance one name sounded familiar VSP. While helping me with contact lenses, she took it upon herself to check my insurance and found that I actually had VSP coverage. That ended up saving me about $250! She definitely didn't have to do that, but it meant so much. Overall, I was so impressed and grateful that they fit me in last-minute and still gave me such a thorough, unhurried exam. Dr. Pitts and his team were wonderful from start to finish. I left there understanding more about my eyes than I ever have before. I also left with a week's worth of trial contacts, and my vision already feels so much better! I'm actually excited to go back next week for my recheck, dry eye treatment, and to pick out some new glasses.

I was a patient for 8 years until recently. I never had any issue until a few weeks ago. During…read moremy annual appointment in November Dr. Glaze said I needed a contact for my right eye but have only wore one in my left eye for many years. When I tried the sample contact in the office I couldn't see anything so Dr Glaze said to just stay with wearing just my one contact. However, before Memorial Day my vision got worse so I called the office and said to order the other contact. When I received them it was for my left eye, but I wanted to be certain that it was indeed for that eye. I called the office to confirm and the girl said she would check with him and would get back with me. She never called back, so I called again and left a message on their answering machine, which states they will call back within a day. Again, didn't hear from anyone, so I called yet again because if I opened the contacts and they still didn't work I would be out the amount I already paid. I called and talked to another person and had to explain the same thing to her, and was told Dr Glaze would be back the Tuesday after Memorial Day so I waited until late Wednesday to call. I then spoke to their office manager and had to tell him the same thing and that I was having headaches and wasn't comfortable driving because my vision wasn't great. By now I was frustrated because I was then told Dr Glaze would not be back for another week . The office manager sent me more contacts that didn't work either. So, I called again and was told that they had some other contacts for me to try and I told the girl in my text that the contacts the office manger sent still didn't work, so I drove over 30 minutes one way to the office and when I got there they were the same contacts the office manager sent me, Clearly I was not happy and the office manager told me I was being difficult and rude to the staff, yet at no time did anyone offer to let me see another doctor, and they didn't even know when Dr. Glaze would be back, so if they want to say I'm was difficult, so be it. My husband runs a law office and his staff would know exactly when he would be back and they would offer a client that needed help the opportunity to see another attorney.

I have been putting off seeing an eye doctor for...longer than I should have. I typically get…read morechecked annually, but after a previous experience where the cost was insanely high compared to my typical eye doctor visit, I was not sure where to go. I found Eyecare Boulevard on my insurance website (EyeMed, for those with the same!), and saw they were well-reviewed on Google, and easy to get to. I had an early-morning appointment between Christmas and New Years, and there was plenty of parking, and they were open even before their usual hours! I went in and was immediately helped and taken back by the owner/optometrist. She was thorough, but didn't waste time. I felt like she answered any questions I had, and did a very thorough check of my eyes. She also is using more advanced machinery than I've seen in most small eye doctor's offices, and it was impressive in a good way. No puff of air for me, which was awesome! I didn't end up needing new lenses, which is a huge thing for me, but I wanted a pair of prescription sunglasses. They gave me several options that would allow for a cheaper pair, but I wanted a new frame too, and the lovely front desk associate/assistant/receptionist was fantastic in helping me pick out a pair of frames. Even better? A brand new pair of prescription sunglasses, plus the appointment, came to only $165 (approx). Compared to the last place I went, where a similar appointment cost almost $450/500, I was over the moon. I scared the poor woman at the front desk, as she thought I was upset with the cost. Rather, I was thrilled. They carry beautiful and still affordable frames, and make seeing the eye doctor a simple and pleasant experience. If anyone asks where to go, I'll be sending them here!

I walked in on a Tuesday morning bright and early at 8AM to the brightest shining faces and kindest people! The girls at the front desk were super friendly, explained to me all the paperwork, etc. I didn't have to wait any longer than 5 minutes in the waiting room. Which FYI if you bring kiddos - you can they have a darling clean little play area for the kiddos. The guy, Justin who took me back was super kind and explained to me all the tests they do which they don't do the annoying puff test that everyone hates which Is awesome! They have a super new machine that takes images of your entire eyeball I wish everyone had this who likes that puff thing? NOT A SINGLE PERSON! Dr. Plank was super kind the minute he walked in the room he immediately asked a little about my personal life which I enjoy a doc who does that and tries to get to know you as a person before just doing their work and in and out they go. Docs who do this are personable and those are the kind you want! Dr. Plank asked me about my vision history any concerns I had, etc. After my vision test he took the time to show me my images, explained to me what everything meant, etc. He told me the kind of contacts he is giving me and said if I had any concerns to call him for anything. Afterwards I viewed their eyeglasses and they had good brands from Kate Spade to Ray Ban. They don't have near as many selection that the malls and other places do but they did have a decent selection. Overall, I am so happy to have found an eye doctor that is personable, knows what he is doing AND had a very friendly staff. Also the photo on here with the guy in front of the UPS building - i'm not sure what that is as that is NOT Dr. Plank.
