Outrageous pricing and horrible service. If you want to pay nearly $300 for an eye exam go here. If not, anywhere else..

Angels in Oklahoma! I left my home in Portland, Oregon in February driving my four-wheel-drive RV to the very tip of the Baja Peninsula to work and play in Paradise. Of course I brought a pair of back up glasses since I have double vision and need major correction. But when I packed from my RV and flew from Cabo San Lucas to Oklahoma City, I looked at that back up pair of glasses and thought I would not need them for the five days. I'd be back in America. My glasses broke today and I can't see without them. One short Uber ride to Midtown Optical and I was surrounded by caring staff who immediately found the perfect solution and repaired my glasses.and get this they did it for free! What wonderful company staff with wonderful loving people. I would highly recommend their service to you especially Emma. Make sure you tell her how special she is. read more

Outstanding staff and the products they offer for eyewear are amazing. Great experience..

We are new to the area and had an eye emergency. Dr. Cody Greenhaw not only saw us right away, he got us on the right track to recovery. He was very thorough and explained things in a simple yet effective way. Happy to have found our new eye dr in okc! read more

Changed my perscription so much I could not see close..he was probably aware of that.. caused me to have to spend hours going to eyeglass places getting glasses remade.. he stuck his tongue out at me. .. I don't like him as a doctor. Nice person tho. read more

I came in as a new patient as I recently moved to OKC. Midtown Optical made everything very simple. Requested a new patient appointment online and when I got there they were friendly, quick, kind and thorough. Dr Greenhaw answered all my questions and didn't rush me at all. I would give them a higher rating if Yelp allowed! They are fantastic! read more

For my Thank You Thursday review, I'm thanking Midtown Optical. Since I turned 40 this year, I decided to get my eyes checked. I have great vision, but I just felt it was important to have a doctor who knows me, who has my chart on file, and can check every year to see how I'm doing. I spend a lot of time on my computer, so it was really good advice to get some blue lenses. They have really helped my eyes to be less tired during the day. I do notice a difference, like today I forgot to wear them and I am totally over it by this point. I had a great experience from making the appointment, getting checked in, talking with Dr. Greenhaw, and getting my new glasses. The staff did a great job getting to the bottom of some weirdness with my insurance, and did it in a fast and friendly way (friendly to me as well as the folks on the other end of the line, which you love to see). I hope you guys are taking care of yourselves and your eyes. As I tell my kids, we only get two and we have to take care of them! Thank you Dr. G and your excellent staff. I will SEE you next year! I just crack myself up. read more

Dr. Cody is the best thorough, compassionate and a phenomenal eye doctor! Best Eye Doctors PERIOD! Go here for the BEST EYECARE!!! read more

Great in every way. Staff, selection, exam, setting, pricing and cordiality. Very efficient and kind.

Was given multiple exams not covered by my VSP plan without consent. Was prescribed special lenses not covered by my insurance. 6 different coatings were added to my bill without my consent. Left there with no glasses and 4x my anticipated exam co-pay. These people are scam artists! read more

Seriously was about to lose my mind finding an optometrist who could my Rx just right. Dr Greenhaw took extra care to listen to my needs for my vision correction. Like Goldilocks he got it just right! Aside from great care they have a great collection of frames in a broad price range .highly recommend optical services here!! read more

Predatory medical practices. $185 for solely an exam. Terrible business, do not give your money. They severely overcharge for any amount of service, while taking over an hour to see you after a scheduled appointment. read more

Had a great experience with this office! The cost of my exam for both glasses AND contacts was very reasonable! Staff and Dr were very kind and helpful, highly reccommend! read more

If you have never used Kyle at Midtown Optical for your eyewear, then you're not too bright! What a Great Guy and WHAT Outstanding Service you would be getting with a trip down to Midwest Optical in Lubbock, Texas. I sat on my glasses and severely bent my eyeglass frames (gotta stay from the sweets)! Kyle fixed my frames and you would not believe the price! Quality Service from a Quality Guy! You gotta go and see Kyle - from now on - My Eyes Belong to Kyle - and I ain't kidding!!! read more

Dr. Greenhaw and staff do an amazing job! Prompt and professional, I'm always impressed with my experience at Midtown Optical.

I highly recommend coming here to get your eye exam and contact lenses. I didn't get eyeglasses but it looks like they have a variety of frames to choose from. Making an appointment ahead of time was easy. They will call you the day before to remind you of your appointment. Upon arrival, you check in and fill out the paperwork. I was a new patient. I was seen in less than 10 minutes after my appointment time. After a couple tests on my eyes, Dr. Greenhaw saw me and we did the usual "what about this...is this better? 1 or 2, 2 is better? Ok!" I was done with my appointment in under an hour. They participate with plenty of insurance plans, including my own. I had a very low out-of-pocket expense for the eyeglasses exam, contact lens exam, and a year's supply of disposable lens. My contact lens were delivered to me in less than a week. Come here if you want quick, friendly service from Dr. Greenshaw and the rest of his team! read more

Normally an eye exam is under $100 nearly everywhere. If you go to this eye dr office just know an eye exam is $200+

Really great experience here. I was between two different prescriptions (-2.25 and -2.20 or something like that) and Dr.Greenhaw took the time to let me try out both prescriptions. I was having a hard time determining which one was the better prescription, so he took me out of the room and let me read the restaurant signs outside. Very creative, patient and kind! Highly recommend. read more

I don't have a single complaint about this place. Dr. Cody Greenshaw was amazing. He was very thorough during the eye exam and contact lens selection process. I've had eye exams for most of my life and have not had any other optometrist take the time to explain things in such detail for me. They use a different method for glaucoma testing that didn't involve the air puff which is a definite plus. Although it's just a harmless puff of air, I get quite anxious in the moments leading to the puff. This was the first anxiety free glaucoma test that I've ever had. read more

Customer service was great,, saved alot of money by not going to Lens Crafters, definitely going back

Molly was so helpful and friendly throughout the entire process of booking my appointment, getting my paperwork filled out, calling and checking on me, and finally, ordering my contact lenses. Dr. Cody Greenhaw is a gem. He takes the time to really ask questions and find out the concerns of the patient. He gave me a few options for contact lenses to be sure I found the best fit for my eye. Love Midtown Optical and so happy my insurance allows me to go there! read more

I feel that all of the staff at Midtown Optical were very knowledgeable and efficient. Dr Cody was great! He was patient but we moved on through the exam. The prices were great! I would highly recommend Midtown Optical! read more

Amazing doctor. Young, kind, caring, remembers you, asks about your life, explains things, gives options, fine tunes stuff to get it perfect, generous with samples, time, and advice, great staff, modern facility, clean, great location. It's spot-on perfect. Been going here for five years; it has been an effortless and great experience every time. read more

Midtown Optical - Ready for Greenshaw. Wups! I misspelled optometrist - Eyewear & Opticians Near Me - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

I absolutely love this office. Dr. Cody Greenhaw is the first optometrist to truly help me find contacts that feel comfortable and fit my lifestyle. It makes a large difference having a optometrist that actually has worn contacts himself. He is extremely kind and does plenty of education to make sure you understand your options. His staff is very nice, helpful, and professional. This is an office I highly recommend. #MidtownOpticalIsAwesome read more

Great Doctor and amazing staff. They all take the time to answer questions and listen to concerns. Pretty good selection of Eyewear, including sunglasses. There are closer Optometrists to us, but they are worth the drive. read more

Midtown Optical is fantastic. Dr. Cody and his staff are always great, and the space is super cool. They recently expanded too, and it looks awesome. I couldn't recommend them enough! read more

Midtown optical and Dr. Cody Greenhaw has been my choice of optometrist for over 2 years now. I appreciate Cody's enthusiasm as a practitioner, the space is contemporary and they keep a excellent selection of frames, from Tom Ford and Oliver Peoples to more affordable options as well. Any time I have had issues with my frames, they have fixed the issue quickly and without question. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a better option than they currently have. read more

I have been taking my family to this place for three years, giving them, roughly, $1,0000-$3,000 of business each year. Two years ago, I asked the optometrist for the best, toughest pair of frames and lenses possible. He recommended a set that was $1,000 with a two-year warranty on these Flexon-like frames that were supposed to be tough. The bridge broke with no provocation the following year. They replaced the frames, to then only break the following year LESS THAN TWO WEEKS AFTER MY WARRANTY EXPIRED. Now I'm waiting on a replacement bridge/frame for over a month since, magically, the frames are discontinued. Not happy with this. Not sure I'm staying with them once I get this settled. read more

This review pertains only to the optical shop, not the Doctor as I already had a recent exam from an M.D. I came to this shop because I had won a gift certificate just the week before for 30% off all eyewear. There was nothing on the certificate that said it was not valid with any other offers and there is no expiration date. Their frames are on the expensive side but I managed to pick out a moderately priced $300 frame. With certificate this would be $210 and with my VSP insurance allowance of $130 I thought I would get a nice frame for $80. They would not honor the gift certificate and the insurance. I fail to see how these are related. They also quoted my lenses with several add-ons that they would not remove at my request. The final quote with my insurance was almost $500 when it should have been closer to $300. I left without purchasing my new glasses. :-( read more

The Dr. was quite congenial, but one of the front office/intake techs seemed unhappy to be there. Unfortunately, they made up a reason ('chief complaint') for my visit--which I didn't see until I looked at the screen while waiting for the Dr. I was just there for a check up since I hadn't been in a while. Also, received an unexpected puff of air--which maybe was on purpose so I didn't blink or anything. Prices are a little steep as well, but I guess that is to be expected. The other front office person appeared welcoming. read more

What a great office! The employees are lovely and Dr. Greenhaw has been wonderful. They were even quick to get me in on the same day when I had a small eye emergency. Great choices for eye wear (Paul Smith, Oliver Peoples... etc). Last time I purchased contacts (which my insurance covered - they offered half off on eye glasses. Any of you with an FSA account - non prescription sunglasses can be purchased too! read more

I was looking for a new optometrist and I'm very glad I came across Midtown Optical! The staff is very friendly and Dr. Cody Greenhaw is super personable and knowledgeable. The only reason why it's 4/5 is because I did not receive a follow up as they said I would in regards to how well my contacts were reacting and if I would like to order a monthly/yearly supply. read more

This was a wonderful experience! I highly recommend coming here for eye exams and getting new contact prescriptions. The patient services team did a wonderful job making sure I could walk in and have my appointment started as soon as possible, the establishment was incredibly clean and beautiful, and there was no wait time at all! The Dr. made sure our appointment was efficient, but that we were thorough in decisions to change my prescription. He even took me outside to test different lenses to try them out in a "real-world" setting, something that has never been done in my last 22 years of going to the eye doctor. He also took the time to explain different tendencies my eyes have that have concerned me. Again, as good as it gets for eye doctors. read more

I came there the first time, and they rushed me in and out. I ordered contacts. When I tried to return the contacts (because they dried out after 3 hours), they didn't do anything to try to fix it. Luckily my sister worked there, or else I wouldn't have gotten my contacts that worked for me, since she had a good relationship with the contact rep. Terrible place. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there. read more

I made an appointment during my lunch break and they had me in and out, but I didn't feel rushed! The staff was very friendly a knowledgeable and they had a variety of frames to choose from. The facility was nice and clean. I will be referring my family and friends to Dr. Greenhaw. read more
