After my mother received an add in her bill from Consumers Energy, I called in and the utility referred me to a handful of contractors. We set up appointments for when I would be in town visiting, and after talking to a number of contractors, Green Home Energy seemed to be the most friendly and knowledgable with competitive pricing. We met with the owner, Mark, who was extremely professional, kind, and helpful throughout the entire process. He priced out insulation in the attic, spray foam in the basement, and a new furnace. He was also able to finance the entire package through the Michigan Saves program, and was also able to get us a $1,100 rebate from Consumers Energy! The install crew was friendly, according to my mom, and they left the place spotless. My mother's place has been significantly cooler this summer, and we can't wait for the winter and cold weather to arrive to see the final result!

Month to month and even year over year it is hard to precisely measure energy use and savings because each season and year has varying temperatures. My husband outreached to them and NO response. We had a man come out to clean our gutters and looked at that area. The shingles are pried up. The wood underneath is rotted and the top of the downspout is exposed. We have had two roofing companies come out and look at it. We have gotten estimates each in the thousands to fix it. Both companies pointed out separately to us that whoever fixed it that last time (Ridge to Valley) did a "half assed job".....their words, not mine. It's incredibly disappointing that we couldn't even get so much as a response even if it's to say they're too busy. I understand the roofer cannot control wildlife such as squirrels, etc getting in there but I question if that would've happened had the repair been better.

However, turns out they didn't fill the entire wall with insulation and they came out and drilled big holes in my walls on the inside and filled up the rest.
