Before the procedure, they took significant time to thoroughly explain my situation and why a coronectomy was the safest option for one of my wisdom teeth. Instead of rushing through the consultation, they carefully walked me through the anatomy of the tooth and its proximity to the nerve, explaining how a full extraction could increase the risk of nerve damage. They clearly laid out the pros and cons of a coronectomy versus full removal, making sure I understood the reasoning behind their recommendation. I really appreciated that they didn't just tell me what to do--they made sure I fully understood why the procedure was necessary and what the long-term outcomes would likely be. Dr. Shimel was especially impressive. He has a rare combination of technical expertise and genuine empathy that immediately puts patients at ease. It was clear that he truly cares about his patients, not just the procedure itself. He took the time to answer every question I had--no matter how small--and explained things in a way that was easy to understand without feeling rushed or dismissed. Dr is nice and did solid work. The front desk and process is killing the ratings. No paying up front, and no requiring collecting checks twice. When I first met Dr. Rega, I felt hopeful. I had already been through a long and painful dental process, and I thought I was finally nearing the finish line. He seemed confident and enthusiastic about helping me with the extractions and implants I needed. Unfortunately, things didn't turn out the way I had hoped. An implant he placed in 2023 looked fine at first, but later scans from two other dentists showed it had been positioned crookedly and too close to another tooth. When I brought this up, he dismissed their findings and reassured me that everything was fine. I wanted to believe him -- but the problems continued. During later visits, additional extractions and implants were placed, and again, the alignment was off. One implant was so close to another tooth that it made future dental work complicated. I've asked for a partial refund, but was told that since the work "functioned," even if it wasn't "textbook ideal," no refund would be given. After two months without any follow-up or accountability, I felt defeated and frustrated. I'm sharing this not out of anger, but in hopes of helping others avoid the same situation. If you're considering major dental work, please advocate for yourself. Ask for clear scans, second opinions, and full explanations before moving forward. I wish I had done so sooner.

There isn't a lot that I can say about my procedures other than they couldn't have gone any better. After both, Dr. Choi called me from his home on the evenings of the procedures to make sure everything was OK. He also offered his home phone in case I needed something. I've had something called Tori under my gums. They're small bony growths. I think it's pretty common, but I had one that was sharp and was starting to cause problems. I received a quote at one point for about $5,000 to remove two spots. I really only needed the one removed as the other wasn't a problem at all. During my graft procedure, Dr. Choi removed the troublesome spot and refused to accept any sort of compensation. Not only was this incredibly kind of him, but it helped me avoid future expense, pain and recovery. While it may not seem like a big deal, it was. By doing this for me, Dr. Choi puts himself on the hook for any liability or complications resulting from that work. That's a pretty big deal and I'm grateful to have met this man and to have had him do my work.

We were running a few minutes behind and had attempted to call the office to let them know, but there was no answer. The receptionist, Kyleigh Wallace subsequently called me and immediately spoke to me in an unnecessarily rude and condescending manner about being late and the other appointments scheduled that day. I simply asked whether we would still be seen, and her response was snarky and vague which ultimately didn't offer any resolution. When we arrived, the interaction became even more uncomfortable. The office is now out-of-network with our insurance, which was not the case historically. I was trying to understand the payment process because my insurance had explained that they would cover 80% of the treatment, with only one service covered at 50%, and that the office needed to submit information to the insurance so I would know what my portion would be. Rather than helping me understand the process, Kyleigh became extremely defensive, hostile and condescending. She threatened to cancel the appointment while I was simply asking for clarification. She ultimately raised her voice and spoke to me in front of my two children unprofessionally. I explained that insurance billing is not my area of expertise and that I was simply asking her, as the office representative, to explain what I needed to do and whether the claim needed to go through the office or my insurance. I even suggested that we call the insurance company together so everyone could be on the same page. She refused and then spoke over the insurance representative when I called the insurance company myself to ensure there was alignment. What was especially disappointing was that no one else from the office, including the surgeon, Jerry Wang or other staff members, stepped in while this interaction was escalating. Ironically, Kyleigh ultimately completed the insurance-related step that I had been asking about from the beginning, the same process the insurance company had instructed me was necessary. The entire interaction was unnecessarily hostile, disrespectful and unprofessional. I was not asking for special treatment or refusing to pay. I was asking for basic clarification about a financial responsibility and trying to make sure the office and insurance company were aligned since both provided conflicting information. After having positive experiences with this office in the past, today's experience was extremely disappointing. Patients should be able to ask reasonable questions about their treatment and financial responsibility without being yelled at, talked down to, threatened with cancellation, or made to feel like they are doing something wrong.

I was treated with so much respect and dignity. They didn't shame me for having a lapse in dental coverage or poor coverage. The facility looks like a beautiful, luxe spa. Pro tip: their bathroom definitely has a fun vibe and sweet speakers if you need to take a moment to freshen up before you're called into your appointment! The out-of-pocket price for my exam, x-rays and extraction were quite fair. They are transparent about you're paying for and show you exactly what you'll pay before they perform anything. They also offer a discount/membership plan, but I haven't subscribed yet. Special thanks to Zach, who is super friendly and helped me understand everything before my extraction. Mina did a fantastic job helping me understand my x-rays before I met with Dr. Choi, who extracted my very angry tooth. Although no one enjoys such things, I must say that the whole experience far surpassed my expectations. Everyone I've met is so kind and helpful. A week after the extraction I was worried that I might have dry socket, (I didn't) but thankfully Dr. Choi was able to fit me in to follow-up and prescribe some antibiotic mouthwash to help with the pain and swelling as my gum healed. Weeks later, my extraction site is looking healthy and I have zero pain.
