He went well above what I ever expected and made sure things were right. I had Jay do a lot of maintenance that I had been putting off for quite some time. He did a valve adjustment on my bike's V-4, took care of some leaking carbs, did some front end work to resolve some pesky wobble issues, replaced tires & more. I brought my BMW motorcycle to Rapid Cycle Works because it was having some brake issues. Kyle, the…read moreowner, told me he would look at it within three or four days. It took him 17 days before he got it on the bench despite several phone calls asking the status. And then when he realized the job was more complicated than he had originally anticipated, rather than order the correct parts, he used old brake lines that he had lying around the shop. None of the brake lines fit correctly, nor were they the proper lengths (too long). So, it was impossible to route them correctly. One of the lines is red (originally black) So the improper routing is really obvious. They routed the front brake lines off the calipers in the opposite direction (180 degrees) from how they were originally routed. And then looped them around the fender. It just looks really unprofessional.

Beside the extremely long wait to get my unit (had to order parts, incorrect parts ordered, etc.), it was delivered with a long list of issues. Clear indication that there is no pre-delivery inspection at Fox. After returning from repair, the unit was delivered to me not tied down in a sled trailer. The Ranger ended up smashed against the rear door and parts were laying all over the floor. Strike three - asked for a full refund. Whole ordeal started in late September and ended the day before Thanksgiving. This dealership has many issues to sort out. Buyer beware!!! By the way, I went to a different dealer, purchased a newer model year at the same price as the 2025 that Fox originally sold me and received it within one week. My advice is to avoid this circus and go somewhere else.

Then I tried to sales department only to be sent to an unnamed mailbox to leave a voicemail. Then I tried the operator who put me on hold for five minutes while they try to get in touch with service only to send me back to the same mailbox that was full. Going to email route was no better as I submitted a request on their website and never received a reply. Perhaps the people that service equipment do a good job, but we will never know because it was impossible to reach them. Let alone schedule an appointment and give them my business.

She responded " I don't know what that is" I tried explaining her what it is but she said couldn't understand. So I asked if I can speak with someone else that could help, she said "no" and continued to struggle understanding what my bike was and what I wanted done. Found out Iron eagles only work on older stuff which is cool, that's not my problem with that. The issue is the lady didn't know what my bike was, and you would think if she is dealing in the motorcycle industry she would have above average knowledge of makes and models out there. It's 2024 and it's hard to believe that she didn't have a smart phone or a computer near by with google to have a better idea what my bike was, and to know for sure if they can work on it or not.

Rider's Discount is no different, except their prices are much better and the service I experienced is excellent. I just picked up an R6 and found Riders Discount on an R6 forum. I dealt with TJ who over the phone was able to answer all of my questions, and give me advice and feedback on parts selection. Over the phone he took my order, and with most parts in stock he got them shipped to me quickly. I just got the box by Fedex and everything is there just as ordered. TJ and Riders Discount exceeded my expectations on price and service.

But that's not as big of a deal as how they actually fix things. I had a rough running chainsaw so I brought it to them. They said they fixed it, I believed them and then didn't use it for a few weeks. Once I tried using it again it ran horribly, I would say almost worse than it was beforehand. I brought it back in figuring they would make good on their repair. No such luck, they charged me again. After a discussion on how they think they could charge me again they said it's been a few weeks and they did some extra service on it. So I paid another 40 bucks for 5 minutes of work. Now should I have tried it in the parking lot, yes I most certainly should have. But I really didn't think a company could mess it up twice. But boy, was I wrong. I get it home, try to use it and it runs just as bad as it did. After calling to complain, I was told they would look at it for free but not fix it for free even though I already paid them twice. I was then told to never go there again and was hung up on. After telling a coworker to never set foot in there he had me bring it to him and had it running great in 10 minutes for free. Stay clear of this place unless you want your equipment to run worse than it does.
