He went well above what I ever expected and made sure things were right. I had Jay do a lot of maintenance that I had been putting off for quite some time. He did a valve adjustment on my bike's V-4, took care of some leaking carbs, did some front end work to resolve some pesky wobble issues, replaced tires & more. She responded " I don't know what that is" I tried explaining her what it is but she said couldn't understand. So I asked if I can speak with someone else that could help, she said "no" and continued to struggle understanding what my bike was and what I wanted done. Found out Iron eagles only work on older stuff which is cool, that's not my problem with that. The issue is the lady didn't know what my bike was, and you would think if she is dealing in the motorcycle industry she would have above average knowledge of makes and models out there. It's 2024 and it's hard to believe that she didn't have a smart phone or a computer near by with google to have a better idea what my bike was, and to know for sure if they can work on it or not.

I was given an estimate of around $350 for a carburetor rebuild on a 1983 Goldwing standard. When…read morethe work was finished, I asked for the final figure and was told it was $586. Quite a difference, and I never received a phone call to update the estimate or indicate new problems. Before I left, Mike started the bike to show it was running, and it was, however, the starter sent a large spark across it's ground wire during the start and we asked if this was a problem. The answer he gave was: That's the first time I've seen it do that! I got several miles down the road and stopped for lunch. The bike never restarted, and when I called Mike back complaining, he told me I should try running the bike and jump starting it, which I did, but really? When I got home I replaced a small insulating washer on the starter and it solved the problem. I also checked the carb work, and the number one carb had adjustment screws loose; the number three plug wire was detached, and the new fuel line added to the carb project was unclamped and leaking at the base attachment point. Needless to say, I felt pretty ripped off by the less than expert service. I will not be taking any of my bike projects back to Mike's Cycle Station.

I brought my BMW motorcycle to Rapid Cycle Works because it was having some brake issues. Kyle, the…read moreowner, told me he would look at it within three or four days. It took him 17 days before he got it on the bench despite several phone calls asking the status. And then when he realized the job was more complicated than he had originally anticipated, rather than order the correct parts, he used old brake lines that he had lying around the shop. None of the brake lines fit correctly, nor were they the proper lengths (too long). So, it was impossible to route them correctly. One of the lines is red (originally black) So the improper routing is really obvious. They routed the front brake lines off the calipers in the opposite direction (180 degrees) from how they were originally routed. And then looped them around the fender. It just looks really unprofessional.

**Update 1 Aug 2024**…read more I went back thru the carwash yesterday and both of my issues had been remedied/corrected. The air dryer ran for the full cycle and I checked 3 of the 4 card swipers (4th bay was out of order) and my card did not get snagged whatsoever. Owner has been very quick to respond to messages and also taking action on repairs. I like that the touchless carwash has 4 selections and does a good job of reaching all areas of even my larger pickup. I have been using this facility since it opened a couple years ago. I was excited considering I would drive all the way to Marshall to use their touchless but now have a facility about 5 minutes away. Over the past 2 years the dryer function has deteriorated with a majority of the time it only running for about 15 seconds before shutting off, even though we pay for 60 seconds. 2nd issue is the card swipers in the bay's. Not only do 2 of them not read cards, but 1 of them actually "chews" up the edges of your card, peeling back the lamination and scuffs/scratches the magnetic strip on the back of the card. The convenience of the ability to use credit/debit cards in the bays would be great if they could actually be used. The reliability concerns with the touchless drive-thru dryer are all enough to send me back to my original wash in Marshall. It's worth the longer drive (15-20ish minutes 1 way) for the peace of mind knowing their equipment has never let me down. ** Update ** I did post on 2 platforms. I found the facebook site after this one and had the opportunity to message directly with the owner. I feel that they listened to my concerns and took them seriously. I will revise both this rating and the Facebook once the requested repairs to their facility have been made.
