Really excellent Sushi. Don't know why but have not been before although living close - I've been missing out. Service was a little slow but the food was excellent - place was nice, clean, and felt homey. Had the Sashimi classic plate - LARGE slices of very fresh sashimi. and Firecracker roll - again very well done but kind of unique - MUCH less rice than "normal" with a big emphasis on the fish. Loved my bento box and salmon sashimi at this restaurant! Service was excellent as I seemed to be one of only 2 customers at the time. Ambiance is cute with a beautiful faux cherry blossom tree near the front entrance and a counter where you can sit to watch your sushi being prepared. Location was super convenient as it was close to my hotel. read more

We really wanted to like this place... But it just couldn't happen. The miso was basically inedible. The sushi was unremarkable, there was no dipping sauces or drizzle or anything to add flavor. I hate to say this, but I've had better sushi from the grocery store. It was at lunchtime meal, we were the only two in the place. This place replaced Sushi Leo. Overall, it's pretty good. I had a bento box with a spicy tuna roll, Las Vegas roll and edamame. It came with a great bowl of miso and a basic salad with an overpowering dressing. The tuna roll and edamame were excellent. The Vegas roll is a California roll with fried Kani on top. The fried kani sadly just tasted like oil; I couldn't taste any crab. So while I like the rolls themselves, the topping wasn't adding much. Everyone else liked their sushi and noodles, so overall it was a good experience. Service was good overall, and the restaurant is clean. read more

We went to Fuku Sushi on a Friday night. We were prepared for a long wait, but surprisingly we had a table in 15 minutes. And that's where anything positive about our experience ended. We ordered edamame, and then placed our orders. We ordered four rolls for 3 of us, and told the waitress that we would likely order more depending on how hungry/full we were after the first round. 90 minutes later, still no food. The waitress gave us a free order of dumplings which were a bit dry. During our 90+minute wait, we realized they were doing a heck of a take out business! Our food hadn't been started but at least a dozen take out orders went out the door while we waited. When I called the waitress over and gently commented on the time, she said they were making it now (which is what clued us in to the fact that it hadn't even been started). When our rolls finally arrived. She informed us they were out of avocado! We were starving at that point, inhaled our very average sushi, and despite our hunger decided that they would be closing before we got any additional rolls. We left, unsatisfied, and went next door to Red Robin for some fries! Won't be going back. read more

Went for lunch. My daughter had a bento box. Chicken was dry- only vegetables were onions. Not good. I had two piece sushi. Spicy tuna to hot to eat. Portions were small. Comparable to store (safeway, king soopers) sushi, but more expensive. Not worth the price! read more

Was looking for Leo's & found their successor since September, 2024. Easy parking. Nice storefront atmosphere--quiet, well-decorated, nice furniture. Although I don't think this is owned by Japanese people, I was very surprised that tempura batter was well made, its oil was fresh, and tempura came out very light and crispy, which tempura is supposed to be. My shrimp in yaki-udon was properly trimmed at the tail so that shrimp meat came off easily without tearing off the last end. My friend's chirashi was beautiful, which I have to say one of the best display and ingredients I've seen (I'm from Tokyo) - yellow tail was torched, which is excellent because yellow tail is more oily than others and torching would increase the flavor. Next time when I go there, I'll ask the owner where he received his training. -- One note to the wait person -- please consider which way each dish should face. The chef decorates each one in a certain way. I only noticed this because my friend's chirashi looked the most beautiful from my view who was sitting across from him. Each sashimi piece is strategically tilted and layered. Good food should entertain both our taste and visual senses. read more

The new owners and staff are sweet and really appreciate when we come in. The menu has excellent choices for combination lunches (or dinners), such as the 2-roll or 3-roll lunch that comes with soup and salad. The bento box also has an excellent variety of items. For example, I had the teriyaki chicken which came on a bed of cooked onions--yum-- plus 4 pc. California roll, 2 pc. shrimp shumai, rice, AND soup & salad. All for $16.50 on the lunch special !! The food is fresh and delicious! Nice ambiance too. More homey than a lot of Japanese restaurants. read more

Best sushi in Longmont! So fresh and tasty; we will definitely be coming back here over all other options!! It is a smaller space with only 4ish people on staff: one waitress, 2 sushi chefs, and one back of kitchen staff members. They all are working very hard and doing a great job but it can get a little bottlenecked during the prime dinner time. Definitely worth it!! read more

This restaurant used to be known as Sushi Leo. The new owners changed the name to Fuku Sushi but kept the high quality and excellent service of the old restaurant. They also lowered the lunch prices (except on Sunday for some mysterious reason). We eat lunch there regularly and it is the best Japanese food in town. The bento boxes are always a good bet and my wife loves their chirashi bowl lunch special. Their tempura is delicate and crunchy, the vegetables freshly steamed instead of deep fried. and their miso soup & side salad are delicious. The quality of their sashimi is always first rate, with types of seafood that other restaurants don't offer. Their Hamachi Kama is a treat. Try Fuku Sushi, you'll like it! read more
