I took my daughter out for her bday on 8/19/2023 and for a Saturday, I expected way more ppl, but it was around 4pm when we got there. A few customers came in a little later, but nothing too crazy. As amazing as this restaurant is, I'm seriously shocked that more ppl don't go here. We started with the TNT Shrimp that wasn't terribly spicy, but were so good we almost ordered more. Let me just say this was the first time I've ever ordered sushi from anywhere because I was under the assumption that all sushi was raw lol! But nope, my roll was fried and it was so delicious I want us to go back like next weekend (2nd wknd of Sept). Atmosphere: 10/10 -- My fiancé is an entertainer/musician and I kept telling him that he would've LOVED this place & I sent him pics lol! The music wasn't too loud or distracting, very enjoyable. Food: 10/10 -- I cannot brag enough on how the food tasted, and the presentation?! It looked like it was prepared by an actual chef. These ppl KNOW how to please their customers, no doubt about it. Price: 9/10 A little higher than what I normally spend on a daily meal, but the prices imo were so reasonable that I was astonished. Our final total was $60.10 for 3 people, so I gave our sweet server a $20 tip since I could afford to. I know that doesn't sound like much for 3 ppl, but 15% of $60 is $9!' During our time, the only minor frustration was that they didn't have fries available for our 2 year old son's order(I know, we are actively working to widen his pallet, but at a sushi restaurant that's a big ask lol), but he still enjoyed his chicken nuggets. The true disappointment was getting home that evening and beginning a 24-hour stent of food poisoning. At first, I tried to give the benefit of the doubt that maybe I had overeaten since we grabbed desert somewhere after, but I was the only one who had gotten sick, and I didn't share my Jam Sesh roll with anyone else. My true hope is that this was just a one-time occurrence because the staff was truly kind, but food poisoning is never a good time!
