Or, if they have a fresh bowl of already cooked teriyaki chicken (like during lunch rush) they will get some out of the bottom of that, so it's thick and still hot. This one small act changes everything. Instead of a cup of soy-based room temperature liquid, like you'd get at any other place, you are given a small chalice of deep amber liquid gold, so thick and delicious and strong that you will have trouble deciding whether to drizzle it on your rice or dip each piece of already delicious chicken in it.
