My husband almost always gets bakewell tart, which is at least one whole Mr Kipling bakewell tart pulverised into a milkshake. I mix it up, but the aforementioned Lucky Charms is a favourite. The downside is that it's often quite full of kids, understandably. Unfortunately they're often on their own and obviously too excited to queue, so as a grown up, the wait can be a bit long. Plus the whole process of making a milkshake isn't the fastest. It's also not the cheapest place, but they do loyalty cards, which takes a bit of the sting out of the price. Don't let its lack of originality put you off though - this does what it does exceedingly well and you won't be disappointed. It pretty much just does drinks and although there are a few seats and lots of standing room, it's designed mainly as a takeaway shop. The drinks come in 2 main varieties: super sweet and sickly treats and super fruity health boosts. The milkshakes can involve any manner of gooey delights - you pick what you want from a huge list on a board on the wall, then watch as the staff chuck everything into a blender to create heaven in a cup. And I mean anything: whatever the chocolate bar, you name it. Then add in some ice cream, sauces, sweets, toppings, pretty much anything you can think of. I had marshmallow, Dream bar and ice cream. It was good. No, I couldn't finish it. If you're feeling a bit healthier, there are all manner of fruit smoothies and juices, which are all freshly made on the spot. There are suggested combinations with explanations of what they do for you (Eg: help you get over a cold/give you an energy burst/make you feel lustful) and you can get additional healthy shots of things that are good for you. I feel that the desserts didn't look quite as amazing as they do in Brighton. They were a bit mean on the fruit front, they also charge you per portion of bread, even though the portions are tiny. My final whinge will be that the didn't let us book as we wanted to eat at 6.30 but when we got there made quite a bit of a fuss about the fact the hadn't booked. The staff were all very confused. They had a lovely selection of drinks and I enjoyed a very modest Hedgerow Fizz which was a mere £3.501 In this area, you will not find better food, ethically sourced anywhere else. It really is quite wonderful. They also have a food store here and do hampers for gifts with goodies like Berkshire honey and Bill's homemade chilli jelly. It's worth eating here if you're in the area.
