I'm born and raised in Texas. So I'm partial to these old building remodel style businesses. It's a good site, it's in a good location right next to the Tesla charger. Plus there's a couple breweries nearby. A beer company and a distillery. It's right near the Square . The setting is great, the coffee was good, I had the jalapeño sausage kolache. It was tasty. They have a choice of a number of drinks and pastries as well as live music. I like how they have a chalkboard on the wall that has the monthly schedule. Enjoyed my first visit. I'll definitely be stopping here since the Tesla charger is so close by. Love the small town vibe and how everybody knows everybody. I spent a lot of time in Mason when I was younger so I've always enjoyed the community feel. read more

New employee behind the counter. No greeting, no thank you, no personality, no smiles... just a loud, brash holler when your order was complete... I miss the nice guy. He was much more engaged and personable. I was there on a Monday. The knitting ladies were there chatting, eating, drinking & overall just enjoying a beautiful day in Smalltown, Texas. I visited while the were doing "junk in the trunk" at the courthouse. The girls were super nice and the coffee was hot! I went back after about 30 mins for another coffee bc the first was for my mom. I asked for another and they said, we have free refills not knowing the first was for another person. I thought it was cool that they'd allow me back after I'd left if in fact I was back for more and not back for another. Very personable and I highly recommend. read more

I love the coffee, atmosphere and the very few food items offered, but the "baristas " are novices and maybe a bit over-challenged. This place is attracting weekend visitors from out of town, and is a lovely environment to chat and start the day. But Fuel is losing a lot of business by opening late (7:00am is late) closing early in the afternoon and not even opening at all on Sunday. Who knows why. Fortunately for this little town there is another good café up the street. read more

This place literally has the worst owner. Decent coffee and for a decent price. But worst customer service, and the owner is completely unprofessional. Don't bring your kids. If they'll chastise an adult for playing with LEGO's laying around, I definitely wouldn't trust bringing chIldren. And apologies do nothing, they'll just bring other employees out to chastise as well. Been coming here off and on for years but never again. Completely unprofessional. We were on our way out of town when we desperately needed some coffee and maybe a breakfast snack, I looked for coffee on Yelp and this little place popped up. I'm going to preface this by saying I am not a scone fan, they're typically too dry for my taste, but I got one for my husband thinking it was good enough to get us by and OH MY HEAVEN it was the most moist, fresh, scone I have ever had. Fresh blueberries, topped with this delicate icing. YUM! It's been a few weeks since we've gone and I'm dying to get back. My husband got a regular iced latte and said it was incredible - which, a rave review from him doesn't come lightly. I was on my way to my hometown from Austin for Christmas. I needed to take a WebEx call for work, but didn't want to take it in the car. I stopped in and completely fell in love with the place. The coffee is good, and very reasonably priced. The people at the counter are super friendly. There wasn't many people there, and no live music at the time which made it the perfect setting to take my work call. I will be stopping in anytime I go through llano! read more

I've been a fan of this place for a while. We come to Llano frequently for rodeo events and I'm excited to announce we are moving here too!! This little coffee shop is part of what makes me excited to call Llano my future HOME. Here's where you will probably laugh, but until now, Starbucks was the closest thing to a "coffee shop" that I knew. Although I've never "hung out" at one, it's where I thought the cool coffee shop people hung....... I was wrong! They are here at Fuel! It's always got happy people chatting holding a cup of coffee. It's comfy in here! Best part is- the coffee is GREAT and it's non-profit. Not sure the details but they are really doing something right. Any place that offers whip cream with expresso in it clearly has it figured out. I look forward to bringing all my friends here when they come to visit me. read more

This is a quaint little place in Llano. It was recommended to us by a few of the employees at the car show we attended. I got an Italian soda and my husband got coffee. The inside was really cute and clean. Outside, there isn't much seating but we could take the dogs. :) Support local business and check this place out when you're passing through. read more

I Don't usually go out for coffee but me and my brother stopped by fuels coffee shop. While we were there I noticed Legos. so after we ordered are coffee and paid for them I myself walked over there to play with the legos. After I was finished the owner whom was at the counter criticize me for playing with the legos and that I messed up something his daughter took 2hrs playing with. I have 3 children he is lucky they weren't there because if he would have yelled at my kids for playing with those Legos things would have broke my heart. read more

What a great find! Over the years, Llano has revitalized itself and the town square. Fuel is just off the square, but is wedged in between some local retail shops. Nice venue. Ordered a Java Chip Frozen Coffee. It was delicious. The barista was very nice and wore a mask, but did not wear gloves.

The guy working there was wearing his mask under his chin. We ordered a couple of lattes and they came out lukewarm. We were optimistic about this place but very disappointed in the end. Would not recommend. read more

Stopped here on my way home, this place is absolutely adorable. The atmosphere is perfect for a coffee shop with tables, stools and a bar, couches and a little stage. The actually coffee is par with normal places and the barista (Katherine) was cute as a button. She was very pleasant and friendly. This was a great find in downtown Llano. There are not many choices in town and we wanted something other than fast food coffee. The drinks here are fresh and of good quality. The desserts are made fresh in house and they are delicious. Try the lemon bars if they have them. They are fabulous! The baristas and other employees were very nice and friendly. The coffee shop itself is in an old downtown building and as soon as you walk in you feel cozy and welcome. I wish we would have had more time to stay and enjoy this coffee shop but we were passing through quickly. read more
