When this gas station was a Super Stop, it was often my go-to place to get gas on my way home from work in Berkeley (on the rare occasions that I drove). After the initial COVID shutdown (and on the even rarer occasions that I was required to go to the office to help pack it up before we moved), this was the only place other than San Francisco and Daly City I got gas. If you don't have to buy gas in San Francisco, you shouldn't. Yes, there are ripoff stations in other Bay Area cities as well, especially right off the 101 down the Peninsula and into the South Bay, but there are also places that have cheaper gas. This was one of those stations. I really only came here during evening rush hour, so I don't know how dangerous it looked or felt in the middle of the night, but I'm assuming it wasn't the safest place to hang out. The convenience store had the greatest gum selection I have ever seen in my life, outside of a supermarket or big-box store. I only bought a couple of things from the store, including a banana that was perfectly ripe. (Bananas must really have sold well here, because they always seemed to have one ore two baskets' full on hand, and they never looked overripe.) Even when I do have to go to the office these days, it's so far south and east in Berkeley that this station would really be out of the way to get to. Check the expiration dates on your snacks. On 5/8/23, I purchased gun and sunflower seeds. After eating 1/5th of the bag is seeds I figured they tasted funny. I checked the date it said expired 10/2023. This made me check the expiration on my gum, expired 12/06/22. That's ridiculous.... I did not have the energy to go back. read more

Mispriced products and high prices. They had a 2 for $5 sticker on their cooler for monster energy drinks, but said the sticker was old and not supposed to be there anymore. The gas station accross the street (Grand Gasoline) was bought by the same owner to take over competition and raise prices to the ridiculous. Don't buy anything from inside the store. read more

Came to refill some propane tanks for an old tent trailer to take to Burning Man. While I was ultimately rebuffed, the guy here was very professional checking the tanks physically and then the date codes which led to explaining that the tanks are rated for 12 years of service. One of the tanks was just out of the range, but the other was well beyond. Over charging for gas. When the nozzle "popped" to let me know my tank was full I looked up to see my total was $57.92. While getting out the car I realized the $$ amount was still rising so I slowly took the nozzle out to see if any gas was coming out and IT WASN'T. As I'm in shock I'm explaining to the customer next to me (with nozzle in hand) what just happened I realize the dollar amount is STILL rising. My total ended up at $58.19. $0.27 isn't a lot of money but stealing is stealing. They refilled our propane tank in a flash. They were open late and it was just around $20 for the tank. Note they use your old grubby tank you don't get a clean one. They also would refill one because it had an old date on it. Fast, friendly service. It's also a gas station so you can fill your cart up while you're at it. read more

This Super Stop is great. Not only does it have the cheapest gas in the area, it's got great customer service. And by great customer service I mean this. Three days ago, they ran out of Regular Unleaded Gas. What would other gas stations do? I have no idea, I've never been in such a situation. However, Super Stop started selling Premium Gasoline for the price of Regular!!! I could not believe my luck, because it is exactly the type of gas I needed for my car. Cha-ching! Around 4:05 am today Jan 3 2021, I made a visit to this gas station to refuel and get a beverage. The worker, tossed my pepsi in the air as it spun and shook up, My beverage was shaken up further from when he caught it,, then he proceeded and dropped my drink into the drawer from a fairly high distance. I will NEVER be back to this location. I hope the owner reviews the video cameras and either retrains and or writes him up, or just fires him if he's not going to stop doing that. read more

location is convenient and gas is reasonably priced but... let me warn you..loiters, lurkers and brash locals will bother you. i'm only speaking from experience so the aforementioned may only be true if you are female. there's always traffic here because the gas is cheap but draws attention to all walks of life. sometimes i avoid coming here because i don't want to be forced into conversation or feel guilty for not giving a panhandler change. nevertheless, the workers are really friendly, they sell the cheapest gas in town, and it's right off the freeway exit. all things considered, it's really a personal choice so you make the judgment call. read more

Used to fill up here often, but never again. They no longer will let you use your card at the pump, but only tell you once you already have swiped and put in your zip code. Then when you go inside and try to fill up the pump they have to keep your card while you pump, which means another trip inside. Too much time for unfriendly service! Go next door to the mobil station for the same place and fill up your tank in half the time. read more

Last night my poor pork chops were barely cooked before my propane tank hit empty. Determined to have the tank refilled before the weekend, I yelped for places nearby. I called and asked the nice man over the phone if they filled tanks - "yes, we do ma'am". I forgave him for the "ma'am" and jumped in my car. 5 mins later, I'm in the store. He walks me to the propane fill station and within another 5 mins I'm paying my $6.52 for the fill up. Yep- these guys have a little bit of everything at this gas station/ convenience store. Even propane. The service was quick. I got 2 five pound tanks (one not completely empty) filled for $32. Get your bbq tank refilled here and don't swap the tank out at a swap station. It's much cheaper, and your tank will be full. The tank swap stations - like at Ace- make a bit of money by under filling the new tank you get from the cage. Fill up here you will probably notice the tank is heavier. You get 1/8 to 1/4 more gas for less money than a swap. The second reason to fill up here is that if you have let's say a pound or so of gas left in your tank- you loose it in a swap and the gas co gets to make money off it. If you refill here, it takes less propane to fill your tank and the savings are yours. I paid $27 for a tank swap at Ace- that is 5/8 full. Not anymore. The 3rd reason to go here for propane refills- they are good people. Fair price and they are careful to fill the tank. read more
