My husband used to work in rexdale years ago and would come here for lunch once in a while. If I…read morewas lucky, I'd get leftovers of his lunch special which consisted of crispy ginger beef and fried rice or noodles, and maybe a spring roll depending on how hungry he was that day. Long gone are his days of working in this area. But lo and behold, our hockey superstar son is now playing rep games at Westwood-- a stones throw away from Golden Asian. Anyone who has a kid in select knows the chaos of weekend hockey games. Last thing you want to do is prepare dinner after getting back downtown from an evening game (which you MAY or may not have lost :/) Anyways, my husband remembered Golden Asian so we ordered from the parking lot around 4:30pm this evening. 15 mins later, everything was ready for pickup and we were surprised at the amount of food we got for less than $80 cash. This easily would have cost 100+ downtown. Everything was still hot and fresh after the 45 min drive home and the whole family was satisfied. Good portions for the money. My fav's were the squid and crispy beef. Kids loved the noodles and beef and broccoli. Overall, 10/10 recommend and will definitely be back again for take-out on the regular during this hockey season.

Always someone ready to clear the old plates. They are reasonably priced. They had decent selection of dishes including some seafood. They had the traditional Chinese American dishes. Great for a family with teenage boys. Let them loose. Enjoy

We asked for a simple dietary consideration and it was totally ignored. When we brought it to their attention, the chef just shrugged his shoulders and said it was a mis-communication. There was no attempt to make it up to us or try to make us feel better. They just did not care. We ended up paying for food that we could not eat. We will never go back.

There's paid street parking on both sides of the street. I did read a review that there's complimentary parking behind the restaurant though. Mai Bistro has a small patio out front that's covered and indoor seating as well. We opted to sit on the patio. Since it was our first time at the restaurant the waitress explained the various menus to us. There was a written menu for Today's Specials and some of them were crossed out. I'm guessing that those items have already sold out. I saw a photo of the menu from a couple of years ago and in comparing with the menu from the other day I can see that prices have increased for some dishes. To me, prices veer on the higher side. The grilled lemongrass pork with rice and asian slaw was $22 and the shrimp ceviche with fresh salsa and avocado on a crispy tortilla was $11. My Vietnamese style pork tacos were a good deal for $10. Even at the regular price of $14 the price isn't too different from tacos at other restaurants. The pork was flavourful and portions are like what I found from food trucks in LA (but leave you wanting more).

It's a perfect place for a large gathering especially if you have people coming west, east, south and maybe even out of town as there is plenty of parking. The place is spacious, modern and uncrowded so you can easily set up a spot for a balloon arch. The service is also really nice and friendly. I've been to the Colossus area many times before but never thought to stop by at this restaurant. I didn't even know they have an option for all you can eat until I visited recently. For All-You-Can-Eat weekend lunch it was about $30~ according to their site, which is really reasonable considering prices these days. It included sushi and sashimi and it was pretty fresh and some kitchen items too. Their cooked dishes for AYCE is kinda big so I didn't get to try as many things. However, from the few I've tried including nibbling their sample appetizers, tempura and other items it's pretty good. If you want to be adventurous, they even have escargot too! The escargot was buttery and not too salty. The Pad Thai is a more Canadian/Americanized version with a bit of tang from the ketchup but still tasty regardless. The staff was nice and friendly and we didn't really feel rushed out as it didn't seem too busy. We booked from 1-3:30pm/4pm. I think it's a great spot to host your special gathering and also allow your guests to choose whatever they want to eat. The only thing is they punch all your orders for you on the ipad and we don't get to punch it in ourselves. I feel like the physical menu they showed us for all you can eat is much more limited than what we can actually order. So definitely ask your server and see what else there is. For example there wasn't any dessert menu so you have to ask about all the desserts. They will offer ice cream by default but definitely recommend getting a fried banana and sesame ball with it.

When we first walked in, i noticed the place had a cool asian inspired look with plently of seating. The Sushi part of the ayce menu was very dissappointing. The rice was over cooked and mushy. So bad that I had to take the fish off the rice to eat. Unfortunately it was the worst much the worst sushi I had in a while. Very dissapointing. The non-Japanese food we had was actaully pretty good. We ordered, wings, short beef rib, tempura, coconut shrimp, beef pad thai. My favourite was the thick curry tiger shrimp and the curry pumpkin soup (they kinda tasted the same), but both very tasty. I will say the service was very good. Servers were friendly and attentive. Although, they still did they old school took orders by hand, rather than with iPads like other restaurants, which didn't seem efficient.

I created a Ritual account several months ago. The idea is that you order food from various…read moreeateries using the app, earn points, and get discounts along the way. You then pick it up where you ordered your food from, avoiding all lineups, and chow down. I am always a late adopter to such apps. I recently placed my first Ritual order. It went well. On Monday, I noticed that 3 Asians Express had a $5 discount on your entire order. I decided to give it a shot. It was my second order using the app. I ordered the chili chicken, which comes with rice. I also got two chicken dumplings and a Diet Coke. The app told me that my order would be ready in five minutes. Cool. 3 Asians Express sounds funny to me. 3 Asians walked into a bar and... um, okay, it's only amusing to me. The 3 Asians part means that there are three types of Asian cuisine offered here: Chinese, Thai, and Japanese. This eatery is located in a plaza approximately five minutes away by car from my workplace. It is next to Enterprise, in the same plaza where I have often had good eats at A&W and Kelsey's. I had no problem parking. I walked in. The woman at the counter said hi. I said my name and that I was picking up an order. "Huh?" she asked me. "I'm picking up a Ritual order for Mary," I said, changing it up. My guess is that she does not have a strong command of the English language. The man next to her gave her a bag that looked like my food order. He also got me my Diet Coke. She bundled everything and handed my order over. Thank goodness for this man! I took a photo of the menu. I'm sure that my taking said photo threw her off. Anyway, I headed back to my car. I was hungry and actually started to eat. The Diet Coke was good. You can't mess up a canned pop. Yep. The two chicken dumplings are really pan-fried wontons. They had little meat in them. It was like the joint needed to ration everything it made for some odd reason that I was unaware of. Anyway, they were pretty tasty. I liked the whisper-thin wonton wrappers that were decently pan-fried. I should have ordered more of them. Ah, the chili chicken. It was not yummy. The steamed rice was overcooked. It was not enjoyable to eat. I don't think that the rice would form decent rice balls if I had scraped the chili chicken off to the side to get to the mushy overcooked rice. The rice was sad. I had two bites of rice and left the rest in the container. The chicken was dark meat. There was chili in the sauce. It was simply an unexciting burn that I experienced with each bite. There wasn't any interesting flavour happening. It was in-your-face bland nonsense happening. I ate all the chili chicken simply because it was more edible than the rice. I drove home and stopped at my local McDonald's to get a hamburger and cheeseburger. This meal at 3 Asians was neither yummy, nor filling. I was so much happier with McD's. I know. Sad. I don't recommend having the chili chicken here. The chicken dumplings were better. The Diet Coke was the best thing on the menu, which speaks volumes. (424)
