For the prices and location of such a great massage I give Fu Shen two very relaxed and refreshed thumbs up. I had thought about making the trip into Boston for a massage as I wasn't sure how much to trust a little town spa but thank god I found Fu Shen and gave it a shot. This place was worth every penny and more considering I had checked out the prices online, found them reasonable, booked an appointment and arrived to find the prices online were wrong and were actually HIGHER than the actual thing! I went expecting a $98 hour long hot stone massage and was treated to an $80 hour long hot stone massage. The prices for other massages were lower than what had been listed online as well but I don't remember their pricing. As for the most important part, the actual rub down. The massage was fantastic. My masseuse was very professional, spent a little time talking in the begging just to put me at ease and to get to know me but once she got going she was all business. I will definitely be going back to try some of their other offerings including a facial as everything is so reasonable priced. I've opened an account on Yelp just so I could write about Fu Shen. I got a great facial there! Ladies, 1.5hr facial for $48, you can't beat that! I used to run a high-end beauty salon and spa and I know facials. I received a wonderful one from Wendy. She told me exactly what was wrong with my skin as if she saw right through my life and she applied the right treatment. Fu Shen is a little cozy salon, clean and pleasant. Wendy was very thorough. I got a great service and getting a facial there was a great experience. I'll go back and I'll buy a package. Definitely worth it! read more

Let me start with 38 dollar facial!!! Or you can buy a package of 4 for 138. There are places around the city that will set you back more than that for a single facial. My friend has been going here for a couple of years and insisted I had to try it. Now lets be honest this is no chic salon, but it's clean and cute. The prices are amazing ( SPECIAL you can get a facial and hour long massage for massage for 90.). The woman who did my facial I believe was either the owner or the manager, and she did a great job. My skin looks amazing, my brother who is as thick as a brick and never notices anything told me "wow your skin looks really good". Now don't be surprised the manager may stop in the middle of your facial and answer the phone, I guess that is just how they roll here. I've had extractions done before but never like this. My skin is as clean as a whistle. Also a huge bonus there was no skin care products pushed on you at the end, she just gave me the name of a website whos product she recommends. after reading some of the reviews and recommendations from family member, i decided to book a facial and a massage session for my bf and me. we got there at the time of our appointment, a girl come out and said our appointment is not available. They took on client 10 minute before and we have to wait another hour for our session. mind you i called and made the appointment a week in advance. I spoke to the manager who's not in the store, and she simply said she forgot about the appointment. Just as I was on the phone with the manager, I saw on the desk calendar, clearly marked, my name and my appointment time. I think this customer service is ridiculous, there is no "system", they simply take customers whenever they want for the money they can earn. very unprofessional and ill mannered. read more

No name introduction of any sort, just an immediate squeezing rub-down starting on my unsuspecting derriere. My masseuse ran out of the room with me half-naked in the room to answer the front desk phone--not once, not twice, but thrice. I think feet are pretty important for a "full-body" massage but they were left alone. I stumbled out feeling cheated and confused. That must have been a practical joke or maybe I had simply lost my mind. Did I forget what a "massage" was or did the definition just change? When I got home I searched for the name of the parlor thinking I may have stumbled into a "full-service" joint for men, because no way can they put massage as a service, charge money, and get away with it. read more

I've been back like two times since my last review, and I've gotten two different estheticians actually, I think that who you get depends on what time you go. The second time I went, back in February went really great (albeit SUPER painful because of all the extractions I had done on the many pimples I had then); the esthetician I had was great! She definitely took her time and was very thorough in extracting each and every pimple. I did not get her name (I wish I had! She was awesome.), but she did let her apprentice practice extractions on me, just a heads up, but she also was very capable. My face stung and I had scabs for a week on the places where I got the extractions, but afterwards my skin was in spectacular shape. Clear, smooth skin, and I loved that during and after my facial the lady explained to me what she was doing, what she thought was what was causing my pimple flareups, and what I should do to take care of my skin. All in all a very pleasant experience. The third time, and most recent one this past Saturday morning, could've been better. I was about 30 minutes late for my appointment (damn T was being rerouted with shuttle buses between Broadway and Kendall that weekend), but she gladly took me anyways, for which I was thankful. It was an okay facial, and I feel like she wasn't as thorough as the other estheticians I've had before (but I think in part that's due to my being late). She did give me a nice scalp and shoulder massage while I chilled out with a mask on my face, which sort of made up for it. I actually tipped a few extra dollars because of the nice massage. Also, this person was constantly answering the phone, because I'm guessing that she was the only staff on hand that time of day I went, because I encountered no one else. So be prepared. To sum it up, definitely be on time, and don't expect to get the same person as your esthetician every time. If you want exceptional service (hello! $48 facials!!!), but don't mind it if the person working on you occasionally answers the phone, or aren't chatty cathys, go here! read more

Moved to quincy recently and was in the square walked by several times and decided to go for massage. My masseuse was very nice and the massage was wonderful. I left feeling totally relaxed and will go back for facial next time. read more
