Came here on a random Sunday!! Me and the bestie were noobs walking in but everyone here was pretty welcoming. Make sure to bring your ID and physical credit card. Protection is provided. Our gun lady was so kind and knew we needed that pink gun after we had so much fun with our first rental gun. We also had issues loading the mag and the whole process before shooting but we were able to find help from one of the workers. It also goes by really fast, I would recommend trying another gun or getting more ammo. We spent about $65 pp. read more

Went here for my girlfriend's birthday and had a great time, we usually go out to the Los Angeles Gun Club and I'll never go back. I had such a pleasant experience here with my brother in law the other day. The older gentleman that checked us in was very nice, friendly and super duper kind. He had such positive energy and was very easy to chat with. I feel bad that I forgotten his name. The lanes are well ventilated and wasn't too crowded when we went. The facility is pretty big and the restrooms are clean. Parking lot is also big with plenty of parking. Would definitely recommend family and friends here. I absolutely will be back. read more

Thank you for replying. The car was air conditioned as I had explained and my son is still traumatized of four fully grown adults surrounding the car with phones out pointed at him while he was playing on his phone. Ps he keeps bring up. Thank you for replying and trying to protect your image but what you guys did was traumatic for my son and I will never step foot in this place and I will tell everyone about it over and over. Cause what you did was uncalled your inaccuracy in assessing the situation cause him a traumatic experience. Thanks again. Owner. TLDR: Clean indoor range, cool staff, awesome people to shoot with. You won't go wrong coming here for some range time. I've been a FT3 member for a while now and have gone here almost 2-3 times a month. All the people I've met, staff and other shooters, have always been so cool. (Shout out to Carl!) Ever since my first time shooting here not once have I ever felt uncomfortable. Once a while there's some fun shooting events and I had an opportunity to join one a while back. I've been to a handful of ranges around Orange County and LA county and I keep coming back to this one. Every time someone asks me for a good range I always tell them about FT3. Get yourself and FT3 hat while you're there! It's really a conversation starter lol. I highly recommend this place. read more

Overall, this is a great well-kept range. The action targets booth setup here is cool, targets are easy to hang the stalls have adequate space. I came at 10am on a Saturday morning, so the range was packed. Only issue I had was finding parking, ended up walking from down the street which is not ideal while carrying firearms. I rented 3 guns while here which all functioned just fine, my only complaint is they upcharge their ammo pretty steep. I get the need to make money on the rentals, but doubling the prices for 100rds of 22lr? Just ridiculous. That being said I would come back here to shoot my personal firearms again. Also it is $25 per a lane for 1 hour. Memberships allow for more range time if you plan on coming here regularly. read more

Hidden in the backstreets of Stanton, this indoor gun range is staffed by the friendliest folks you'll ever want to meet. It's also quite affordable. I came here with a friend to get a refresher on gun safety and shooting tips. It had been well over a decade since I had shot a handgun and felt the need to reacquaint myself with safe handling and comfort in shooting. A short class with an instructor, Chrissy, was extremely helpful. After a brief hands-on overview of proper handling of a gun we went to the range and did some target practice with Chrissy giving tips and pointers to improve our handling and accuracy. She was an incredibly patient, attentive, and helpful instructor who improved my shooting in a matter of minutes. If you don't have your own, guns are available for rental. Ammo as well as targets are offered for purchase. Safety glasses and ear protection are also available for all who come to the range. The facility itself had a welcoming and safe vibe to it, emphasis on safety. I was really impressed. This would definitely be the range I would return to for future target practice or to recommend for anyone, from beginners to experienced gun owners. read more

PROS: - The location has a nice lobby area with tables, chairs, and counters. - The lanes are slightly wider than other shooting ranges, but not drastic. - The mechanical system that brings your targets forwards and back is modern and tells you how far the distance is via a digital screen. - The staff here is friendly and professional. - Military and LEO discounts. CONS: - If you go on a weekend, this place is PACKED! - During peak times, they only allow a 1-hour time slot. If no one else is waiting, you can extend your time, but there's no way to do so during the weekends. - Parking is limited here, especially during peak hours and weekends. FINAL THOUGHTS: - It's a nice and modern facility, but I definitely will avoid this place during the weekends. It was a zoo in there. I would be back to see how it is during a weekday. All in all, the prices were comparable to other ranges and the staff there were very professional and courteous. read more

Came here for shooting practice. The lady at the front desk was very sweet and nice. She checked us in, and assigned a lane to us. We went to another counter to rent a firearm. They have a lot of selection. Signs are very clear and customers were very respectful of each other. There is a staff standing by inside the shooting area in case if we have any questions. He keeps the place very clean. It is on the pricy size, but we will probably come back because of the services. read more

Had a very nice time at FT3. The parking lot was full so I thought it was packed. But it was pretty OK, there were enough empty lanes. We shot for about 1.5 hrs. My friend got to try the Glock 26, 43 and 19. I prefer the 19 the best. Their pricing is resonable. $155 for a lane, extra shooter, gun rental, 150 rounds of ammo and 1 target. A good way to blow off some steam. read more

WOW! I never thought I'd have so much fun, and I never thought I'd shoot a gun in my life. My boyfriend bought us here for our monthly anniversary. I didn't really know what to expect and felt a little nervous because we are always taught that guns are to be treated so seriously (for a good reason). The staff here made the learning and handling experience a smooth one. They were very understanding with my lack of experience and taught me the steps in handling the Glock 22. I felt like I was in a very safe environment to learn and shoot. I would definitely come back with my boyfriend, and after coming, I feel that I can confidently support him buying a gun of his own for a hobby! We were on a family trip from Australia with no experience at all with hand guns. We were given expert training once we walked in and had a great time shooting at targets and watching others with more complex firearms . The staff were amazing, supportive, patient and reassuring. My mom and I did a private lesson with Jesse and it was fantastic. It was our first time even holding a gun and we were both really nervous, but he made us feel very welcome. He started us off with a .22, described what we should expect, and gave very thorough explanations before having us shoot. I learned not just the basics of gun safety and anatomy, but learned way more than I imagined I would in an hour about aiming, reloading, etc. I was amazed at how comfortable I felt so quickly. Best indoor range in the area Facility = 10/10. Welcome lobby and actual shooting lines are always clean and in great working order. Cost is equivalent to most other ranges in the area. Staff support = 10/10. Very helpful and welcoming staff for all levels of experience. First time shooters are welcome and encouraged, and multiple range officers on duty to keep things safe and compliant for everyone. Rental inventory = 8/10. Only reason why I didn't give this a perfect score is because it's unreasonable for a facility to have every random make/model stocked for rent. I have zero experience with guns and never even held a gun in my life. Here I am, at FT3 Tactical with my hubby and friends. My hubby and I were invited to this indoor gun range by my friends. My friends own a variety of guns and practice shooting on a regular basis. I can't speak to the level of support from FT3 Tactical since my friends showed me everything I needed to know. However, the facility was clean and they offer paid lessons. In the restroom, there is regular soap and "D-Lead" soap to get the lead off your fingers. I thought that was pretty cool and my friend said that not all places offer the "D-Lead" soap. We went on a Saturday morning around 9:40 a.m. and there was already a line waiting for them to be open at 10 a.m. They are busy on the weekends so if you want to secure a lane right at opening, I suggest going early. There is a 1-hour limit on the weekends and it's $25 per lane for non-members. For each additional shooter, it is $12. They have paper targets for purchase and they range from $1-$2. Overall, it was a nice experience and I would recommend this place. read more

Specialties

We have 28 shooting lanes, each 25 yards (75 foot) long with the widest shooting bays in the area! Shoot all handguns, most rifles, and shotguns (slug only). Computerized target retrieval systems on each lane with no sag or sway, complete with adjustable lighting. Our ventilation system is the best in the industry. The air you breathe in the range is actually cleaner than the air outside! We have a large selection of rental handguns, rifles and shotguns. Annual memberships are available. Kids age 10 and up with a guardian or adult are always welcomed!

Meet the Manager: Forest M.

Forest was born and raised in Orange, California. He has more than 20 years of firearm experience and enjoys shooting, both indoors and outdoors. After over 20 years of service and retiring as a Police Commander from a Riverside County police agency, Forest became the CEO of FT3 Tactical in January of 2016. What types of guns do you have for rent?

Over 200 different pistols, rifles and shotguns.

How long is the lane rental duration?

1 hour, but an additional hour can be purchased if it is possible.

Do you have a ladies group or club?

HI. Unfortunately, federal law prevents us from having a specific gender group. So, no “Ladies Group” but you’re more than welcome to bring in as many ladies to shoot as you would like.

Hi is there a age limit to take my kids there?

We allow ages 10 and up.

Small shop, but good selection of equipment, from AR parts to carry bags, oil/maintenance kits etc. Also, staff gave me some practical advice about anodizing the steel barrel I had purchased (for getting a different color on it), getting a gun locker and outdoor ranges within a 45 minute drive. Lastly, I was offered assistance to assemble my firearm, but didn't need it since I'd been studying how to do that while waiting to take delivery. Bottomline: I'd use ShootSoCal as an FFL again.

I'll definitely be back when I'm ready to pick up another Holosun. The only real downside is their range rule: you have to reload your magazines at the shooting stall, not the back table. Because the space is tight, I couldn't reload while my friend was shooting. We ended up spending half our time just loading mags, which really cut into our actual trigger time. It's a solid spot and less expensive than other local ranges, so I'd come back alone, but I'll probably skip the "buddy trips" here since the reload rule makes it hard for two people to get their money's worth.

The trip to the gun range gave me a chance to put into practice what she taught us. She's ex-military so if you feel like you're in boot camp while at the range, it's all good. She wants to make sure that you learn safety not only for yourself, but for others around you. An added benefit, for an additional cost, you can also get your Firearm Safety Certificate.
