PS: I do not recommend getting the $100 Arizona & Florida CCW bundle they offer. It's essentially $100 for information you can find off the web in 10-15 minutes. I had a great class with Katie and Mike. I did my initial CCW training through their online course and it was super convenient to be able to go at my own pace. The live fire qualification was held at Insight shooting range which was also awesome as it's local to me. Both instructors were very knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. I contacted Katie wanting to get a renewal class on short notice. The class coming up in three days was full but I could jump in at the end of the range portion to do my qualifications individually. One line portion was informative, classroom with Katie was even better. She is a good teacher. When it came time to go to the range she informed me the fee I was quoted (it was minimal) was waived because there was room for me in the class afterall. She didn't have to do that. I originally contacted the CCW School to sign up for a Basic Firearms class but after talking to Katie, the co-owner, I also signed up for the CCW training class. I was impressed with Katie because she answered my call immediately and spent a good amount of time with me explaining all their services, the CCW license process and also answering all of my questions. I even texted Katie the next day with more questions and she instantly responded via text. I attended the private Basic Firearms class which was taught by Mike (Katie's husband) and it was great. Mike is very patient and has a very calming attitude that really helped me absorb all the training tips. I learned a lot from the class and I'm so happy I signed up before taking the CCW training. Katie taught the classroom section of the CCW training and she was great! It's a lot of information to go over but Katie made it interesting and put her own twist on it so everyone was focused on her. All of the slides and videos that were used were understandable and useful. Katie also made sure everyone was comfortable and knew exactly when it was time to take a short break. You can tell that her and her husband have taken the time to create this class in manner that all the information is explained properly and everyone can understand. At the end of the class they even asked all the students to give suggestions on how they can improve. The range part of the class was taught by Mike and just like the private lesson, he did a great job! We all ran through some exercises before taking the shooting test and Mike focused on safety and spent a good amount of time which each student giving tips and suggestions. Unfortunately, I live pretty far away from the CCW school but I am so glad I choose this school. The extra time for me to drive to the location was definitely worth it and I would suggest anyone who lives in the LA area who needs to attend any classes or training to definitely consider the CCW School. I will be suggesting it to all my friends who are interested in training or getting a CCW. read more
