INCREDIBLE. If I could give FT3 10 stars I would. Backstory. My husband's 40th birthday was the next day and unfortunately, I had procrastinated on planning it. So I look up a firing range in Orange County and FT3 pops up. I try to submit an online inquiry form for one on one training. Michael Hernandez messaged me same day to let me know there wasn't any availability but that we could come in and they would take care of us. He puts me in touch with Mary who is the scheduler and she followed up with me the next morning. Makes us a reservation, answers my questions, and off we go. Both Mary and Michael are on it in terms of fast communication and follow up! We end up behind schedule in our day and I ask Mary if we can push out an hour which she happily accommodates. We arrive for our reservation, get in line, Christopher gets checks us in (make sure to bring your photo IDs), grab some ammo, eye protection, and ear covering, and then head in. I'm not going to sugar coat this... it was effing loud. I had never shot a gun before or been to an indoor firing range and my body went into an almost fight / flight / freeze reaction. The sound of the shots going off in the different lanes (hand guns, rifles, shotguns) combined with the reverb freaked me out. I am inclined towards introversion and the sound was so overwhelming for me. The sound of every adjacent shot made my body shake. One of the employees, Cole, came over to check on us and we let him know it was my first time. He brought me over to read the range rules but he could see how visibly rattled I was by the noise so he asked me if I would like additional earplugs - fastest yes of my life. He walks me back out to the front where Christopher grabs the earplugs and I share with the both of them my concerns. I'm more analytical and risk averse so I shared with them the millions of thoughts that were pinging around in my mind. First Christopher told me a joke, with his very dry sense of humor, and that had me laughing immediately. The humor quickly got me out of my head. They shared some awesome perspective about re-wiring, exposure to stress, desensitization, etc. Reassured me that I would be fine, and then Cole me walked back to the lane. He showed me how to load the magazine, how to hold the gun, provided context along the way, showed me how to aim it, and then just encouraged me. He was incredibly patient which is huge for an anxious first timer. He stood by for my first handful of rounds and provided some minor corrections / adjustments. Both my husband and I switched back and forth (husband has had prior shooting experience so it was just shaking off the rust.) There was another novice in the lane next to me, Jojo, who was there with her husband. She said she's been doing it for a couple of months now. She was so encouraging and friendly. Hope we run into them again! Another employee John noticed they had dropped a few boxes of round and he was kind enough to point it out to them and helped them gather them up. So we finished up, packed our things, and went to check out at the front. John checked us out, grabbed my husband a t-shirt for his birthday, and wished him a happy birthday. Side note: All the employees are great conversationalists and different senses of humor. I work in recruiting and whoever is doing the hiring here is doing an incredible job bringing on amazing people. I would 1,000,000 percent recommend this place for any newbie who's been meaning to try it out. Their business is run like a tight ship and I pray it continues to prosper and thrive. Let me tell u from the moment I spoke with Nathan on the phone to everybody working the front desk and to I believe his name was Chris one of the instructors. I went in for the first time earlier this week to go test out some newly purchased firearms and had a great experience. From checking in at the counter, to shooting on the range and finally checking out, all the staff were very friendly and helpful! Specifically the employee who helped me out Brian. This gentleman went above and beyond in providing excellent customer service and personally helped me out with an issue i had while shooting on my lane. I wish all the ranges had someone like Brian Range prices were good and i loved the discount they offer and gave me for Military Veterans. I have been to FT3 tactical for the best two weekend in a row. FT3 tactical hasn't disappointed yet. Nick from FT3 was amazing. He is very helpful on choosing firearms and for all the lefty people he is your guys. My girlfriend is a lefty and it's hard for me to explain safety when I'm a righty. I scheduled a Bring Your Own Firearm training. First, I contacted FT3 by email to informed them that I may not make the 4:30pm time, and that I might be at 4:45pm and Mary Cleghorn was very accommodating with my request. Regardless, I arrived on time. I checked it, and I was matched with Doug H, Senior RSO. Doug is what I would call as an "old-timer". To me an "old-timer" is someone who has valuable, knowledge, skills, and experience, so since it was my first time shooting, I respected his guidance, and I was all ears. Doug was able to guide me in how to set my sights being I was left eye dominant and right handed. He suggested for me to tilt the firearm slightly, which improved my focus. He also informed me about trigger control to make my shots (groups) more accurate. I shot 50 rounds, and for being a for time shooter, 50 rounds lasted about an hour. Doug suggested to load 3 rounds at time because it allowed me to take breaks to rest my nerves and hands. Yes, he talked in-between my shots, not because he was wasting time, but to help ease the excitement and adrenaline surging through my body. Overall, I was pleased with my performance, and he was complementary on my ability. read more

It was busy when I arrived but there were able to add us to the wait list and get us a lane within a few minutes. The entire staff was friendly and knowledgeable. None of the "regulars only" vibe common at other ranges. Instead, they seemed to go out of their way to make everyone feel welcomed. This was by far the most professionally run range that I've been to. The facility was very clean. Everything was in working order. Well run establishment, prompt, courteous, professional and all about safety. FT3 is on our "will return" list. Note, they will check your firearm and ammo before you enter the range. Go to their website for some specific lists of do's/dont's. Ask them questions if you don't know or understand something. One thing I noticed, if you have never shot a gun before, they require (thankfully) that you go through training with them. Wow, such great friendly service in a nice, clean place! My group of 6 came in on Halloween 2021 which was a Sunday. Other shooting ranges were closed on Halloween which brought us to this location! We were so happy that we decided to come here because we had a wonderful first impression and cannot wait to come back! It was pretty busy and there were plenty of staff members helping everyone out. We didn't wait long to get all situated and into the range. Checking out was also quick. There is a staff member inside the range. Everyone looked like they knew what they were doing. We felt safe at all times. Every single staff member we came across was genuinely friendly unlike many other shooting ranges! Literally everyone from beginning to end spoke with us respectfully and with a smile. I also appreciated witnessing a staff member speaking gently and kindly to a first timer who appeared fearful about shooting. The whole place also looks very new, modern and clean! I try to come once a month. Everyone is always friendly and inviting, from the front desk to the range officers. The guy that runs the rental counter is also very friendly and helpful. He helped me decide on my latest 1911 purchase. I shoot my AR-15 and multiple pistols here. I've never had an issue. The parking can suck sometimes but during the week can be better than the weekend. Their prices are fair and they seem to offer alot of classes. Eventually I plan to get a membership and come once a week but ammo prices are holding me back, lol. I also plan on taking the holster draw class. Seems great for us CCW permit holders. read more

My friends and I have been looking for an indoor range that allows rifles and shotguns. FT3 tactical happened to be the only place within our travel range that met these conditions. We brought our own firearms and the lane rental was 25 dollars for about 2 hours. Bullets were competitively priced. The staff were very friendly and it was overall a great time. I didn't want to post this and I did try to contact the business manager thru email. With no response here it goes. I have been going to this range for a while and I have been to other ranges also. I had some friends come along on this occasion. Let me say this , I understand safety when handling weapons is critical. And the staff does a great job making sure we are safe. But on this day and on a previous visit, one particular staff member just made it not fun. He was constantly yelling and I get it's noisy as hell inside the range but there were other staff members in there and they were not yelling as much as this guy. At one point one of my friends over heard him saying, these peole are retarded. I have a feeling he was talking about us. I'm not sure why this guy thinks he is so superior than the rest of us by talking this way. Most people just want to shoot and have a good time. Yes, there are new shooters but to make them feel like shit is inappropriate and down right rude. His constant barking annoyed everyone at the range and uncomfortable. You could tell as he watched and barked at people. I understand its his job but bring some professionalism and manners with it. Like I said there were other staff members there but no barking or yelling coming from them. As mentioned I have been to other ranges and never experienced this kind of rudeness from staff. I've been coming to FT3 now close to 4 years. My first time ever holding a gun and shooting a gun was at FT3 on May 20, 2020. It's hilarious, prior to 2020, I was your typical LA County/Californian (born and raised) who was at best indifferent to the 2nd Amendment and at worst, even Anti-2nd. "Why does anyone need a gun? Just call the police." was my naive and ignorant position prior to 2020. Before 2020, I owned zero guns. In May 2020, I owned one and now in 2024, I own 12 and have become a strong advocate for the 2nd Amendment. A big part of that is due to FT3. For the past 4 years, this place has remained consistently the same. Always clean, safe, well-staffed, professional, helpful, knowledgeable and exceptionally courteous. Whether you are a long time shooter or a total "newb" (we all start from there), they will treat you with the utmost respect and courtesy. It's very evident that each staff member there enjoys their work, take their work seriously and have immense pride in it. I've been to numerous indoor ranges now throughout LA County and Orange County and by far, FT3 remains the very best. Even their policy of permitting outside ammo (check their website for few restrictions, for ex., no steel ammo) should be applauded (i.e. many indoor ranges do not allow this so you are forced to buy their range ammo at a much higher cost). Every visit to FT3 has been positive and I always look forward to coming here. It can get a little crowded, but the staff is very efficient and it's just a reflection of how great this place is. If you ever do have to wait for a lane, the waiting area is also very clean, spacious and welcoming. Keep up the outstanding work, FT3! read more

My husband and I were looking to be comfortable with firearms. We took a lesson with Michael who was very knowledgeable. He pulled 5 different guns for us to try emphasizing that to pick the gun that felt most comfortable in your hand. He was very patient and knowledgeable. We made a commitment to feel comfortable with guns, we purchased a yearly pass for the shooting range. We try to go twice a month if not more. My husband has the membership and I pay $12 every time as a guest. The plus is that we can make reservations so we don't have to wait for a shooting lane. The place is very clean, the staff is extremely pilot and knowledgeable. They are safety focused, they have safety officers present in the gun lanes going in and out. They have guns you can rent and also ones that you can demo. They sell ammo and their prices are very reasonable. They also have a meeting room and a ladies shooting league. Parking can be limited at busy times, but overall never had to wait more than a few minutes for a parking spot. I highly recommend this gun range. The experience is always top notch ! read more

Wow! My 21 year old daughter really wanted to go to a shooting range as a first time shooter. Not all experiences are equal.. FT3 was amazing. Specifically Jesse. I've been to this range a decent amount of times and had always had a good experience. Staff is always super friendly and the most recently time I went to test out my first ever AR that I built. With being my first build, I didn't know at the time but I choose a buffer spring weight that was too weak for the rifle cycle and essentially turned it into a bolt rifle and you had to charge it for every single shot. Staff member Carlos helped me diagnose the problem, and really went out of my way by disassembling my rifle and even taking a lower receiver form a rental they had to test out if the only problem was the buffer spring. read more

I called and emailed to ask if I could come at a certain time and was told yes. When I got there it was a 45min wait but at that time they would be closing and we would have only 10 min to shoot. I overly prepare and told them the time I would be getting there in which I was on time. I was given a coupon then a free lane for when I go back which was nice!
