Everything I have had here is amazing Fish n chips Lobster roll Lobster fries Tacos

    Fried calamari and clam chowder
    Mary P.

Saw it near the vet on the other side of the road. Glad I gave it a try. The calamari was delicious and tender 5/5. Clam chowder was 3/5 taste wise. It was hearty and filling. What threw me off were some of the ingredients, like there was celery and carrots in it. If you can, eat there vs take out.

Lobster Roll was fresh and buttery, bread was good. Clam chowder was very creamy and flavorful.

Lobster roll was delicious and buttery w lots of lobster. Fries are decent and fresh. Clam chowder was thick and cream w clam, carrot, celery, potatos. We bought food for 2, Portions are generous... we didnt even have a chance to eat the taco.

Omg!! I recommend!!!! The best ceviche I've had from a truck or a restaurant! I got pescado ceviche tostada and WOW! Perfect amount of spice (I asked for an 8) good size chunks of fish and perfect seasoning! I also got a lobster taco. Good chunks of meat and sauce is very tasty! Truck looks clean and menu is a good size. Got our order fast buts not too busy out today. All in all if I'm ever down south I will definitely be looking for them!

Not your ordinary food truck is their tagline - and they live up to their name 100%! The Frutti di Mare food truck has been on my radar for some time now, but I never managed to get off work in time to visit. The stars aligned today and I was able to get off in time for a visit - I did call twice though to see where the truck was at, and also later in the day to see if the truck was still open. I made it a little after 430pm today (Sunday). They close at 5pm on Sundays. I punched in the coordinates and Google gave me relatively straightforward directions on how to get here. On the weekends, they are parked at the side of a Smog check/Auto place. Easy parking since the place was closed, so you can park in any of the spaces on the lot. It's a residential area so I imagine on the weekdays, you can park along the street - but easy parking regardless. I ran into a friendly couple who were his regulars (shout out to Chris & Darlene) - and they recommended a few dishes for me to try since I wasn't sure what to get (everything looked good from the other Yelp reviews). I opted for the Lobster Roll (which comes with fries) and a small Clam Chowder soup. I was debating whether to get something else since from experience, lobster rolls tend to be either small or under-filled based on my visits to other food trucks in the area. Not here. The food is made fresh-to-order and while I was waiting, I had a friendly chat with their regular diners, Chris (and Darlene) who shared with me that they visit the truck often, and that the chef has daily specials where he serves off-the-menu items like lobster ravioli, shrimp scampi, salmon with tomato caprese salad, and swordfish. My mouth was already watering at this point looking at the various photos he shared of the special dishes. The lobster roll was amazing. It was filled to the brim with lobster meat, the roll had just the right amount of crunch to it, butter and a special orange sauce. They don't skimp on meat here at all. Hands down among the best lobster roll I've had ever. Literally five stars on this roll alone. It's awesome that he includes a side of fries for any sandwich - and he must've overheard me share with Chris that I didn't like crunch since the fries came out perfectly soft. The clam chowder was the perfect complement to the roll, with just the right amount of creaminess, veggies, and clam. Total for everything came out to a little over $28 - amazing value for the quality and quantity of food that you get. The truck moves around a lot - but this location at Westminster Blvd/La Pat Place seems to be home base for them. While it's not the best neighborhood - it's not as bad as what everyone else is making it out to be. I mean of course, I've been to sketchier places in my life - but the food is definitely worth it. Support your local businesses! Anyway, I'm already looking forward to my next visit here!

Food was ok. The fish n chips and lobster fries were super greasy IMO. Asada Tacos had good flavour but a little chewy. Salsas were on point though. Price was quite up there. Can't see myself coming back.

Perfect portions and good taste I would recommend this place for a quick bite in the area+++

We took the combo to a nearby park in Huntington Beach.

This is a very unique take on the Lobster Roll. In all the right ways! They add mayonnaise to the sandwich which gives it a very yummy seasoning amongst the butter and the lobster and bread. The sourdough bread was toasty and buttery. My husband and I loved the sandwich and the fries were the perfect amount of seasoned and salty. The chef and his wife provided amazing customer service. I didn't like the area where they are set up to sit down and eat. Instead, we took our combo to a nearby park in HB and enjoyed a picnic.

Oh my god. I couldn't believe I drove to far out of the way for food truck. I couldn't believe what I paid for my dinner from a food truck. And now I can't wait to make the drive again. Super friendly family that runs the truck. Food was amazing. I had the lobster roll and the man in the truck suggested turning my fries into garlic Parmesan fries. They are to die for... we also got some lobster, macaroni and cheese. Everything was fabulous, fresh, and hot.

Lobster roll and Mac and cheese

Their food truck came to visit the apartment complex I live in so I decided to stop by and give it a try. I have to say it blew away my expectations for seafood that could be served on the go. There was plenty of lobster provided in the lobster roll with a crispy buttered roll. On top of that they even provided fries which made the price of $20 well worth it. The lobster Mac and cheese was probably the best value I've ever had for the same type of dish anywhere. There was plenty of lobster provided in it and the bowl was huge lasting over 2 meals.

Shrimp and octopus ceviche. Too good!!

Where can we find updates on your location? I tried calling to confirm the location today and my call didn't go through and when we drive to Westminster and La Pat we couldn't find you either :( we love your rolls!

Your clam chowder is one of the best I've had in OC. However I am very sensitive to the herbs and peppers. Is it possible to order this with a light hand on the herbs and peppers by any chance? I've been looking everywhere for a good clam chowder

The order process was pretty simple -- I responded to their Instagram story and they reached out with follow-up questions, menu options, and pickup details. The pickup was from a home residence in the city of Garden Grove (off of Brookhurst Street and Hazard Avenue), nearby Pho 79 if you're familiar with the area. The exact address is provided with your order! The owner, Aamir, was very friendly and professional when I picked up my food and the burgers were packaged very neatly in separate boxes. I ordered two smash burgers that included three patties each, which cost $15 per burger. They included caramelized onions and jalapenos, which were a delightful surprise. The patties were a little salty, but upon reading the other reviews, I see that the owner pre-marinates the patty meat. The prices were also steep for just the burger, and I thought my order would come with fries on the side, but that doesn't take away from the quality of the food. All in all, I would return for future orders and would love to see them open a brick-and-mortar restaurant someday, ideally in Garden Grove still. 10/10 rating and five stars all around for a seamless ordering experience, delicious food, and timeless customer service.

The owner is super responsive, and you can tell he wants to provide the best service possible. During this special pop-up event, they were serving two's a tango that features their warm brioche bun along with two halal patties smashed with cheese and carmelized onions on top. The burger itself was massive, with one being more than enough to feed a hungry person. After talking to the owner, he mentioned he pre-marinates his meat, so that could be the reason why the taste was a little salty for us. The sauce is awesome and complimentary, so when ordering, if you don't plan on eating the burger right away, to prevent sogginess, ask for extra on the side. I know some people prefer the meatiness, but I am a sauce type of girl. Overall, the flavors of the burger meshed well! Thank you for adding another place for halal goodness. I'm hoping you guys do well and keep quality up.

Decided to drop in and was delighted to know their Taco Tuesday special is $1 street tacos for a select handful of 8 protein fillings and $2 for 6 other choices. Even their regular price is still very reasonable. There was definitely a line around 6pm but it moved quickly. Love that they also have a self service taco condiments bar and area on the side of their truck where you can top your food with the freshly sliced or pickled veggies/chilis and slather on various taco sauces to your heart's content. Especially loved that they use a rotating gyro style meat grill for some of their meats. I also noticed they had another truck/van parked nearby where one of the staff would go to replenish some of their supplies for their taco truck. What an efficient way to keep up with demand by having a mobile/secondary vehicle that you can use for storage of stock to keep up with the high demand. I loved all the street tacos that I tried: carnitas, fried fish filet, al pastor, carne asada. Flavorful and done right! I used to come here on Taco Tuesdays only because the tacos were $1 and the line at El May is always too long. I chose convenience over taste, but in the end, this place offers neither. On my last visit, I waited about 40 minutes for my tacos. I ordered six and only managed to eat three before realizing I had overpaid and that the $1 tacos weren't worth my time or the effort it took to chew them. I threw the remaining three straight into the trash. I genuinely chose to go hungry rather than finish them. The meat and tortillas were both bad, and the portion sizes were pitiful. I honestly don't recommend this place at all, especially when Tacos El May is literally right next door.
