The workers showed up on time everyday and I mean they worked. I must say they did an excellent job on my house and I received plenty of compliments on how they cleaned the brick up and how nice the house looks. Bought some cabinets from Menards and boy was it hard to install. But Nicholas was a joy to work with. He didn't rush and scrimp on quality. He made sure to take his time and ensure the cuts and measurements were correct. And he is very honest as well. What was supposed to be a 2 day install, he was upfront, and immediately told us he needed more time. Which we are glad he told us. So we extended the project for another day. Overall, happy that we worked with Nicholas. He even gave us a discount. Despite the extension.

End result? - beautiful high quality deck, countertops and backsplash, windows, shower, vanity, and fog-free windows that have reduced exterior noise and reduced our utility bills. My number one positive about the experience is the quality of products MDR Build uses. The second is communication - if MDR says they will email you a bid within 24 hours, they do it! There were bumps along the way - weather, product availability, and a brief delay due to installation crew availability. MDR kept me informed throughout the entire process and quickly addressed issues that arose. I'm very pleased with the end result.

My family and I are using Markway Construction Company to remodel and update our bathrooms and other updates in our house. Markway has been in our house since September and it is now January. Nothing has been completed! I feel completely used by this company. Some days there are people at the house working and others there are none. Sometimes when they finally do show up, they will only stay a few hours, not a full work day. It seems to hard to explain my frustration because there is so much to be frustrated about. I've never experienced a painter that takes more than 2 weeks to paint a single room. Or an electrician that takes a few months to just install a lighting fixture. When we try to get answers on why it is taking so long, they seem to always to have the answer "we've had a couple set backs." One time, they just completely avoided us by not showing up for a few days because of something wasn't structurally sound in the house and they had to redo it. During the construction of our second bathroom, we let them know that they would have SIX weeks to complete it because our son would be out of town (it was his bathroom). Upon his return 6 weeks later, the bathroom was not even close to being completed. It is a very small bathroom, probably about 6' by 7'. They couldn't even accomplish this task. If you are seeking to hire this company, I strongly encourage you to go elsewhere. I'm sure other people have had positive experiences with Markway but our experience has been nothing be unsatisfactory and frustrating.

This is to notify you, that to date you have failed to complete any work on site in a substantial workmanlike manner. This is all documented with pictures, videos, and voice recordings. Last night, April 3rd with tornado warnings til 8pm and with high winds we reached out to you via text and followed up by a one on one phone call that the ridge cap you removed and then reinstalled on March 22 had blown completely open.  We also explained new roof panels were being buffetted and needed securing.  You agreed to come out and then never showed up.  Dave called at least 2 more times and left voicemails.  I sent additional text requesting your arrival time and included vidoe to support how serious the situation was.  I also tried calling.  You ignored all our attempts to reach you. Today, April 4th we once again made numerous attempts to reach you.  It is only when I call from a unfamiliar cell that you chose to answer.  I said hello Bob this is Brenda Meyer and you hung up on me. This email is to notify you that you have violated our contractual agreement. Your failure to secure the roof has resulted in additional damages to our property.  It was negligent of you to do so and negligent of you not to respond on site last night. We can not move forward with a company and individual who puts our home, dwelling, and our expensive Airstream at risk like you did last night.  We also refuse to move forward with a company and individual such as yourself who avoids communications with their client.  The quality of your work was poor at best. I had requested your material bills today so that I could rationalize how much of the 4200 downpayment you need to return.  Since you refuse to comminicate I have now filed a complaint with the BBB for the full amount. Dave and I have spent too many hours of our own personal time following after poorly installed materials.  As homeowners we had to climb on the metal roof and fix the ridge cap you failed to secure.  We did not sign up for these kinds of games. It seems very unlikely Bob that you have the metal roofing experience you told me you had when I was looking for a roofer. Please remove all my home images from your Bob King Facebook account.  We did not grant you permission to use images of our private home on a public social media site. You have left a ladder here.  Please contact us via email for a time to retieve that. Please return the 4200 downpayment you received.
