Their smoothies are amazing! I tried the mango and cantaloupe smoothie and was surprised with the consistency! Usually when I add cantaloupe, it has a gritty/mealy texture but this was bomb! I was really disappointed by what I received. I was reluctant to go in as it is in a seedy area of Spring Valley. I went in because fresh fruit sounded good and healthy too. I ordered a fruit bowl and asked for the sauce on the side. What I got was a semi-limp fruit bowl with a slimy red sauce glopped on the top. Not fresh, not healthy, not good. Excellent place to endulge your fruit cravings. I ordered the clamato, my wife the coconut cup freshly opened and cold. The clamato was good the only thing maybe the clamato needs to be a bit colder other than that it was very tasty. The service was very friendly and attentive. The place is nice and clean very clean. Just moved to a San Diego from Florida where Tropical Smoothie was our jam. Fruity Loco's smoothies leave TS in the dust. Loaded with fresh fruits (like my strawberries and mango), or veggies (my wife got spinach and mango). Fresh fruit combos galore and a board full of other treats. Owner Jonathan is proud of his place that he keeps immaculately. Personable and Priu of his San Diego roots. We'll be back for the fresh tortas and other delicious possibilities. I was'nt impressed by there torta.... it was just so plain and nothing great about it. It's like my Tia just whipped up something real quick in her kitchen... The corn in the cup wasn't too bad but again nothing special. I may try there smoothie next time but there food is nothing to brag about. Honestly I have no idea who invented this place. It's like that craving you get for a chamango so you go to the park to see if the mango man is there and he's not so you get hot Cheetos instead. But fruity loco is always there and has everything for random cravings. This place is soooo good there legit nothing I dislike from this place. It's so delicious my favorite is a chamango or elote I can have any day. Even the nachos or a sandwich. I tried the house whip once too and it's so delicious. This place is a must! Ive been coming to this frutería for months and always got strawberries and cream. I went in today, i ordered some and they had no cream at all completely dry. I told the manager in the front desk if i could get a bit more since it was dry and she wanted to charge 1$. They lost a faithful costumer. The music was upbeat and the positive energy within the establishment radiated. The customer service provided by the owner was exceptional.
