I came here for boba and was disappointed with the texture of the it. It was too soft and was clumping together. At one point when the tea wasn't coming through I looked to see and there were 4 balls stuck together...No wonder! Also, when I went to grab a napkin, they were out and I had to ask for one. The only thing I liked about this place was that the girl who took my order was nice and ensured that she made my drink to the right sweetness, which she did. So thanks for that :) Overall, I didn't like my boba though, which is what I had gone for and so wouldn't go back. read more

Really sweet girl who worked behind the counter, I wasn't sure of what to get and she suggested the sea salt coffee. It was a perfect combination of sea salt and caramel...something I've never tried before in coffee form. She even gave my bf and I a sample of a watermelon and strawberry smoothie she made. The owner is korean and sat outside and when the place got busy she would come in to help with the orders. Although she didn't serve us, she seemed very friendly. Acai bowl is good. They do have bowls for dining in but are highly reluctant to use them. Very little personality in this place and workers are depressing. I recommend either getting it to go, eat outside or find another place. Very limited menu. read more

Fruittitude is definitely a place worth visiting when you are exploring La Jolla. My crew and I were looking for a place to enjoy a nice, cold drink (boba or smoothie), and Fruittitude seemed to have the highest reviews. It's located on Girard, which is apparently a really popular street in La Jolla. It looks like there are plenty of outlets and businesses on this street, and so parking may be a hassle. We found street parking pretty quickly, but note that most places only let you stay an hour; in fact, we noticed many cars get tickets! Right when you wake into Fruittitude, you get this wonderful sense of cleanliness and purity. The juice shop is very well maintained and simple. On the left you have the counters with all the fruits and also all the blenders. On the right you have tables and even cushions to sit on. There's also a really, really nice bathroom if you are a customer. That's always a plus. I ordered the Japanese Green Tea Slush with coconut, while my friends ordered drinks such as the avocado smoothie and mango green tea. The drinks took a bit to come out, but that just means that they are careful to make you a good drink. My Green Tea Slush tasted pretty interesting in a good way. All the flavors blended together in a sort of lychee taste, but I enjoyed it. My friends were really thrilled with their drinks too. Overall, I think this place is a genuine must. It's much different than your standard Jamba Juice. Fruittitude has good service, a nice atmosphere, and drinks are good. I will come back to check out their other teas next time! I've been here at least 10 times since they've opened and can say with absolute confidence that their food and drinks are delicious! The place is really cute and super clean... plus the staff is always friendly. They also have free wifi so this is a good cafe to hang out to get some work done. Oh-- and you gotta give props to a place that rewards customer loyalty: they have stamp cards where you get $3 off every time you earn 10 stamps. I love, love this new addition to downtown La Jolla. Solid place for juice! I came here on a weekday morning and it was fairly empty. Parking wasn't too hard to find since it was so early, but there was, unfortunately, a two-hour limit so I couldn't stay in the area as long as I wanted to. It wasn't too busy when I got here -- there was no line so I was able to order right away. As it was my first time here, I wasn't sure what to get, but the staff member helping me out said that the Greenspiration was the most popular juice so I went with that. My juice was ready pretty quickly and the first sip already had me very pleased. I could taste that all of the ingredients were truly fresh, and I also really liked the balance of flavors and how it wasn't too sweet. I only wish that the drink were served cold (it was slightly above room-temperature), but that's not too big of an issue. Overall, I'd say the juice was definitely one of the better ones I've had so I'll likely make another visit here if I'm in the area! Ironically, Fruititude has an apparent systemic attitude problem. I have been in the customer service industry for almost 20 years, and I can't believe the service that our family received. Let me preface this with the fact that I left 3 Yelp reviews since 2014, and they were all above 4 stars....that is how bad the service was. When we first walked in, I felt a strong sense of standoffishness.... and an attitude of what do you want? I said to myself, nah its just in my head. Without getting into the weeds of the details, they made our order incorrectly. No problem, that happens. When I notified the girl working, she listened, and then walked away and did not acknowledge the situation. Weird. I then told the manager. She seemed almost combative and looked at me like what do you want me to do about it. I decided to leave the meal that we paid for and left. The smoothies were good though. Stopped here for a drink and tried the fresh watermelon slush with boba - delicious! The fruit was ripe and juicy, and it really was a refreshing drink. Came her for a fruity and healthy acai bowl on a Sunday morning. We chose to go with the peanut butter acai bowl, which was topped with granola and fruit. First of all the fruit is glazed in some honey or simple syrup, tastes very sweet and does not add an element of freshness as fruit should. The granola is definitely of the cheap kind, which means it is basically sweet rice puffs. The acai itself tasted like PURE peanut butter. The PB was WAY too strong in this bowl. It was like eating a bowl of PB. So I guess if you like to eat PB out of a jar, get this! We also had the cranberry/orange cupcake. It was even sweeter. I came here with my friends Saturday evening for some much needed boba while visiting La Jolla Cove for dinner. Although not extremely busy the store didn't feel stifling and had a nice open atmosphere. I love the cute decor and employees Lydia and May who greeted up with bright smiles as we walked into the store. I bought a boba straw kit and got to pick which bag I wanted.
