Well $14 later and I have myself a frozen treat. I haven't have Frozen Yogurt in some time and since I had some other things to do in North Haven I decided to stop in. It's 94 degrees and humid. Decent flavor options, but now due to COVID-19 they are taking necessary measures. All of the toppings are in little proportioned cups with lids. This was good because the toppings can really cause the price to climb. I selected 4 of these toppings: strawberries, white chocolate chips, Oreo pieces and cheesecake. It tastes amazing, however $14 for me alone? I could've gone to many other local establishments. This will definitely be a sporadic treat. read more

A solid froyo place! Parking is plentiful in the plaza. It was clean and well-organized. Two flavors had run out which had napkins hung over the sign to indicate it. Everything is self serve, including toppings (which in the COVID era some froyo places don't let you do it yourself anymore). I had a chocolate yogurt with strawberries, blueberries, and whipped cream. The froyo was rich and creamy and the berries were fresh. I had to wait a bit for the cashier to come out of the back in order to pay and start to eat my food, but it looked like she was working alone. Overall, I would definitely return. I saw some reviews complaining about price but it helps to keep in mind that the cups are huge and filling them will result in high prices! I used about 1/3rd of the smaller cup size and mine was less than $5. Also, they have a $5 happy hour special from 4-6 pm Monday-Friday! read more

Their point system was down or they were switching over to a new system or something like that, but I got a punch discount card for my troubles. Solid 3 stars almost 3.5. We always find decent flavors, staff is always friendly, toppings always pretty neat and varied. Nothing that makes it stand out from other frozen yogurt places. I love FroyoWorld...of all the froyo establishments, they have the toppings that I love the most. Who doesn't love Cap'n Crunch and Fruity Pebbles on cake batter yogurt???? We usually go to the Middletown location but stopped at the North Haven location on the way home from New Haven. It was very clean and the staff was friendly. The toppings were fully stocked. And I was so happy to see that Yelp gave me a 10% offer for checking in. Even better! Will definitely stop in here anytime I'm in the area and craving froyo. PS if you use GPS you probably won't find it. It's in the plaza with Big Lots and Toys R Us, right next to the AT&T store. read more

I am a big fan of froyoworld in other locations and I just happened to be in the mood for it and in north haven at the same time. Surprise I found this place and stopped in for a sweet delight! The place is smaller than the location in waterbury and in Hamden, but I wasn't staying to eat it there so I wasn't worried about the size lacking. The flavors are the same and so are the adjacent condiments, including the fresh fruit bar. I love the hot fudge and caramel! Just a note for anyone who doesn't realize how it works, it is weight based, and there are two cup sizes for your enjoyment. I usually end up getting more toppings than I do froyo, and always ask for a lid so I can keep my goodies fresh! Whenever I am in this area I will definitely frequent this location! We love this FroyoWorld! It's clean, offered outside seating, has lots of frozen yogurt options and they are very careful with Covid. I would love it if we could get an itemized receipt though for our order. When you ask for one you get a credit card receipt only. I would normally give this five stars but the last two times I went with there in June and July on Thursday afternoons it was closed. Even though the sign on the door said they opened at 12 PM they were not open at 12:30 or 1 o'clock. I don't know if they have trouble with their staffing and the person does not arrive to open up. so it's hit or miss apparently . Felt bad for the teenaged worker... A family of literally 15 was in front of me... All had masks, but 5 refused to wear them and had them beneath their chins... Then two older teens just took them off in the store. I can't fault the poor kids making minimum wage by himself to police this, but a better job needs to be done for the safety of the patrons. The signs are clearly marked for protocols... Should have an adult employee their just to help monitor the mask situation... It's a small establishment and easy to do. With the amount of froyo places constantly opening up in the area, FroyoWorld is definitely one of the better choices. I like this location far better than their New Haven location solely because there is ample parking and I don't feel like a packed sardine. There's actually plenty of seating and room to move around here, unlike their New Haven store. The flavors constantly change, however I only get their tarts (mango and pineapple are my flavors of choice) because I'm not a big sugary sweet person. They have something for everyone..tons of flavors, lots of goodies to top it with, and the prices are fair. I prefer this DIY style froyo because I can control how much I get - I only want a spoonful of actual froyo, I'm here for the fresh fruit toppings! My favorite flavors are strawberry tart and birthday cake, and the fruit toppings are of plenty choices! Their space is cute and clean, and the staff is super friendly.
