I ordered the Burrito Especial: Beef burrito with red sauce, topped with grated cheese, lettuce, tomatoes & sour cream. I think it just was not what I was craving. It felt small and underwhelming. We visit Ames frequently for family and were comparing taco trucks on Yelp before making our initial trip to Rico's. Manny was working the truck and is a good guy who knows his product. He guided me to their burrito, which was amazing. The tortilla did not fall apart, and its contents were spectacular, merging asada beef with scrambled eggs and other items to yield a great meal. I loved both of their sauces, with the red-hot red narrowly defeating the tasty green salsa! There is a lot of parking in this location, and the truck's staff makes it a positive experience due to their interaction and people skills. A taco truck isn't supposed to be an elegant experience!
