Jethro's Southside is conveniently located right off the bike trail. There is a nice patio area available when the weather is nice. However, the only seating option for a larger group is a picnic table, which just feels too cramped to be comfortable. I took a star off for Jethro's practice of adding a 3.5% market surcharge to all food and drink totals. It just feels sleazy. Of my party of 9, the majority had no idea this charge was being added, and no one could explain why. read more

Staff are very friendly and I love the option of seating outside. Plenty of screens if watching the game is your thing. Right off the trail so a perfect stop for beers and snacks, or after watching your kids play baseball or soccer at the fields down the road. We love the happy hour specials but were a little disappointed to see the menu has decreased. But the food is still top notch. Change the hours on the door. If you close at 9, the door should reflect to that. Listening to the staff complain and gripe about "Who comes in 5 minutes before closing?" should NEVER be heard by guests. Even if it WAS 5 minutes till close, which according to the door it was not, you still graciously accept business. Unless you don't like business. Had to take the food to-go because, well it was awfully uncomfortable after being told "Yeah, other locations might close at 10, but we close at 9, even though the window says 10." Apparently we are supposed to be mind readers. If you close at 9, maybe try changing the signage and close at 8:55. Just so that 5 minutes doesn't ruin your EARLY closing. Or just shut the place down completely, the food was awful anyway. Not that I expected it to be good after listening to the BOH run their mouths too. Stellar. Great decor, copy paste. read more

Great space for large parties. Brunch, lunch, dinner - any time of day is the ideal time to eat Jethro's. But even though we came before noon, ya girl still had to get the one meat platter obviously! Brisket - always brisket :) smothered with Georgia Mustard and Alabama White House made sauces Waffle fries - I swear these are some of the best in the state! Jalepeno creamed corn - the perfect creamy heat Sides of ranch because I also swear they make the best! We came with a massive group and got awesome organized service the entire time. Everyone got something different, but one thing is for sure: everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Early Sunday morning Jethro's is open for a special event Actually it was more like 11 o'clock but they had the doors open and were available for us to use the bathroom for a special event so we appreciate that. Had no crowd to fight when we sat down to eat. They only have about 3 breakfast items on the menu. I wished they had more. I chose the breakfast burrito and my husband chose the breakfast nachos.They are like the are like their appetizer nachos that are made out of waffle fries and then smothered in yum. It was a good thing that we were both really hungry my burrito was decently seized came With queso cheese, guacamole sour cream, and Pico. I ordered the BBQ sandwich w brisket and Jethros BBQ sauce. You can get your meat shredded or sliced for this sandwich. I think most Jethros have good quality meat, this one was especially delicious. Their brisket was cooked perfectly, just tender and flavorful. This location is at a great spot, right next to the bike trails and raccoon river. The staff was overall friendly. But I would only recommend this location if it wasn't during a pandemic. We seated ourselves to the bar area so we could sit outside on the patio. However none of the staff had masks on. Our table wasn't wiped down till after we were seated. There was a lack of any barrier or table spacing for social distance. So maybe if they implemented better precautions, it would be fine to dine in. read more

Yet another location that hasn't disappointed me one bit. We stopped in on a Sunday at 11 when they opened. We were interested in breakfast food. While this location doesnt have a huge breakfast food menu the 2 items we were wanting were on their so it worked out great for us. I do recommend the breakfast nachos and eggs. They came hot and ready to eat. I tried my best but I couldnt finish my meal. We also had a drink from the bar that was also good. I still have not had a bad experience in a Jethros location. Went to Jethro's on July 5th, 2024 , was greeted by a very surly hostess who immediately escorted us to worst table in the restaurant and when we asked for a different table in the way less than crowded restaurant she took us back upstairs to a decent table. We were than greeted to a very nice waiter who conversed with us about the menu. I had the brisket which was somewhat dry and overcooked. My son had the ribs which he found to be less than thrilling. The restaurant itself is very noisy .we had burnt ends as an appetizer they unfortunately had a lot of fat on them. So all in all and I don't like giving places bad reviews jethro's is seriously not very good as far as I'am concerned. read more

I was so excited to see they were renovating the old Olondo's restaurant into a new Jethro's! These guys had a soft open a week ago today and we finally made it in. They are located on the corner of Park Ave. and George Flagg Pkwy. -- just off the bike path. They have garage doors the lift open to the patio for easier access straight to the bar. They also brought some of the decor from their previous Bigfoot restaurant and a few menu items from there as well. They do honor the franchise happy hour from 4-6pm half priced drinks and appetizers. The menu is smaller than the other restaurants right now, but they still have their most popular appetizers, tenderloin, the jethro sandwich and of course the Emenecker sandwhich! We had the garlic parmesean boneless wings as a starter. These were very good and less greasy than other Jethro's in the area. The garlic parmesean topping had a great garlic aroma but was it too over powering in taste. We also had the Abominable Blue Cheese Burger, which was absolutely amazing. It's a burger topped with brisket and a blue cheese sauce. Where has this been all my life?! The place is clean too to bottom and the service here was excellent! Welcome to the south side Jethro's! The pit ham is definitely worth getting and the pulled pork has just the right amount of smoke. We started by sharing queso and chips with pulled pork in , yum. You really could just make a meal out of that. Then we each got the pit master 2 meat plate, lot of of good food. The green beans and applesauce were my favorite sides. The sweet potato fries and Mac and cheese were good too, but the green beans and applesauce were better. The meats were pulled pork, turkey, and pit ham. You won't leave here hungry that's for sure. First off, food was ok... meat was a little dry but once you add the sauce it was better. Big reason for my low rating is, the customer service sucked! I got charged twice for my food and after I checked my account and found out I went back to the restaurant and told them and showed them that they charged me twice, the "manager" said they could not help me or do the refund because "they" were to busy and because it was an online charge. I even explained to him I was from out of town and I wasn't going to be able to go back when they were "not so busy" and he didn't care and told me to call my bank if that was the case!
