These folks do such a wonderful job with everything they do. The smells of the fresh bread and pastries is intoxicating. I almost wanted to eat all over again. Well, I restrained myself and was satisfied with looking through the entire counter and settling on a beautiful loaf of fresh Sourdough bread. I don't mind telling you, the moment we got home I ripped it open and ate several pieces... Heaven! If you find yourself near Chagrin Falls do yourself a favor and stop in. Stop at "Evergreen Bakery" and get a wonderful pastry to wander around town with. You'll thank me if you do.

The place was brightly lit and I was served pretty quickly, although I will say the woman who helped me wasn't the most friendly. I opted for a vanilla filled cruffin and a cinnamon sugar twist and grabbed a loaf of their day old bread (half off) to go. The cruffin was absolutely delicious...perfectly flaky and well filled with just the right amount of vanilla bean pastry cream. I crushed the whole thing immediately. The cinnamon sugar twist was good but not nearly as on point as the cruffin. The day old bread was definitely worth $3! It was dense but made good toast. There are brands and products that I've seen at other stores but somehow they are arranged in a way that showcase their "purchase-ability". They always seasonally decorate and I enjoy it more than other Christmas displays. The pink tree and sparkling adornments really spark imagination and fuel gift giving ideas. They sell clothes, beauty items, boutique toys, homeware, stationery, candles, jewelry and even desserts up front. As you would expect, everything is quite pricey. Similar to many other reviews, the staff are not the warmest or friendliest people. I've asked a question or two and did not get the most helpful of responses but have experienced open rudeness either. I do look forward to stopping by when I'm in the area and I do think it's a high quality store, albeit quite bougie.
