Red velvet cupcake....whipped cream frosting. Not much flavor to the frosting....But mostly because it's like that air filled stuff that comes in a tub. I've been getting cupcakes from here pretty much since she opened and have gotten a few custom cakes in the last 2 years or so. I've never had a guest say a bad word against the treats I served from Cup Caked. For my baby shower, I had a vague idea of what I wanted for a cake. Sherry did what she wanted and it turned out fantastic! I'm not creative and being the professional that she is, she was able to take my non-direction and make it great. My theme was "Ready to Pop" and she made the cake into an almost comic strip/pop art look. She was even sweet enough to make my cake pops look like balloons without me asking. My LO had her first birthday party and she made the smash cake look like a lemon for the "sunshine and lemonade" theme. Her prices are reasonable and I love the quality of cakes and variety of flavors. I've never even considered going to the local supermarket when I can go here. read more

Over 3 years ago we had an amazing wedding! Instead of a regular cake we chose a three tier holder full of "cup caked" cupcakes! It was topped with a small cake that was as delicious as all the cupcakes. It's a fond memory...how good those cupcakes were! At the time the owner said we were their first ever wedding that featured cupcakes as a substitute for a regular cake. We moved away since our wedding otherwise we would visit the shop every weekend. My wife and I visited "Cup caked" today, during our return visit to Twinsburg, to visit friends and relatives. I'm so happy to learn that their cupcakes are still some of the best I've ever had! I don't give out 5 stars so that should say how much I like Cup Caked! Also, I travel a fair amount (for work) and I've visited plenty of cupcake shops that I don't bother to write about because they aren't good. Cup caked is the opposite, I'm writing because I want everyone to know this place is worth a stop. It's not in the best location but I promise you it's worth the effort. If you want one cup cake or a multitude of them for a wedding, this is the place to go! I came back again and it felt like a different place. I took the cupcakes to a friend's birthday and they were a hit. They had such a selection to choose from-- we chose a few totally random ones just to get a good flavor selection. The most memorable one was the white cake... it was white cake done right. They had many flavors to choose from and the selection was diverse! The white cake had a perfect consistency, was fluffy and not a complete sugar overload. I'll be back! read more

Why can't anyone make a decent cupcake? We've tried multiple cupcake bakeries, and they range from mediocre to bad. And Cup Caked is among the worse. My wife got a chocolate cupcake - she said it was "OK, but Giant Eagle is better". She also said it was kind of greasy. I got a strawberry one and it was horrible. The icing was the worst, it tasted like sweet, fake strawberry-flavored Crisco. The cake part wasn't quite that bad, but the strawberry flavor was just completely fake and the cake was kind of dry. Oh my! I was in the area visiting customers. Just happened to google food in the area, and stopped on a whim. The Caramel Apple cupcake was so delicious! Bought 6 different cupcakes. Stopped in to get cupcakes for my boyfriends birthday. The shop appearance kinda turned me off from the jump because the floors look very dirty so it made me wonder what the kitchen was like. I do believe the tile is just stained but it's just not a good look. The customer service was okay. The woman wasent very welcoming at all. I picked out three cupcakes. They were not good at all I ended up throwing them out. They were very dry and makes me wonder if they were old. Won't be back probably. read more

If you blink you might miss this place. They serve regular cupcakes, cupcakes and brownies along with some gluten free alternatives. I have yet to try the gluten free options. These cupcakes are DELICIOUS with a capital D! Many of the options come with a flavored filling as well. For what you get I feel the prices are very reasonable. Also, you can taste that these are homemade but unlike some other homemade goodies they are able to maintain a moist product as well. My favorite cupcake was the Butter Pecan which is a featured flavor this month. I have tried a few others such as simply vanilla and white wedding which were also pretty tasty. I called Cup Caked in Twinsburg. I was on her website & had some questions because I wanted to order special ones for my Mom. The woman, the owner, Sherri, seemed extremely put off by my questions & not interested in helping me out one bit. I had a question about a peanut butter one I saw on the site & she asked ever so rudely, which peanut butter one? I said I only saw one on the site she said she hadn't been on her site in a long time. I told her I would call back with my order. I was not sure if I wanted to use her or not but out of convenience I decide to try to ignore the crappy attitude & give her a try. I called back with my order of 24 Cupcakes.. I had other people I wanted to get some for so I had a large order... I would think one would be happy to receive such an order. Anyways, I proceeded to give my order I started by asking her to let me know if my list sounds good or if there's any special ones she recommended. I gave my order. She said Name? Lally.. I'll have them ready... Oh ok, would you like me to pay you now? I will be sending my daughter to grab these for me... No I'll have them ready. .....Ok, have a great day!....Click! Hmmmm... Ok maybe she's having a bad day.. My daughter picks the cupcakes up for me. Comes home & says.., WOW! That lady was so rude Mom! She was totally put off by our business. Yuuuummmmmm!! Wow! I was really impressed by the quality and flavor of these confections. The first thing I noticed was the amazing, fluffy texture of the buttercream. No resistance or slight sugary crust when you bite into these cupcakes. The icing is so light but maintains a buttery richness of flavor that marks a truly great buttercream. The cupcakes themselves are incredibly tender, maaaybe just a little too much so, as it makes them a bit prone to crumbs. I tried four flavors. "Everyday birthday cake", a yellow cupcake with white frosting and sprinkles, was everything a cupcake should be. Perfect. The white wedding cupcake with almond extract and raspberry filling was a classy, sophisticated flavor. Strawberry lemonade featured a delightful strawberry buttercream atop a lemonade flavored cake filled with fresh chopped strawberries. Sea salt caramel was the only disappointment. There was just too much sea salt sprinkled on top, so the salty flavor overpowered each bite rather than lending a sweet and salty balance. There was also some kind of caramel on the bottom of the cake, which was sticky and lumpy and mostly just annoying. Because of the few things i mentioned, I would give this place 4.5 stars if possible. But really, I was so impressed with the freshness and quality of the buttercream that I will most definitely be back. Cupcake lovers owe this little shop a try. read more
