I currently do not own a cruiser type bike so something in a sportbike would be preferred. Obviously it's not Erik choice but the Total Rider Company. I'd recommend the course to anyone. I didn't take the course from Harley cause I heard they would push or talk a lot about buying a bike. I don't like people trying to sell me something when I should focus on the training. Thumbs up to Erik and Killeen Powersports for not bugging classroom attendees about purchasing a bike. Awesome time. Wish it was cheaper though.

Mike Gee did an awesome job in the classroom breaking it down for every student to understand. He kept it professional at the same time keep it interesting telling us about his own experiences over the road. Crystal os the actual driving instructor and can teach a blind man how to drive a CDL truck. Shes that good! She was able to teach me and others how to parallel park and off set backing both ways in just 2/3 weeks. She has her techniques which helped me out a lot. She great as a teacher and really easy to get along with and easy to communicate with. What helped me a lot was I needed some days off to work and we were able to make a schedule that worked best for me to complete the course.!

While I tried very hard to work with the staff and understand their perspective, the process has been incredibly challenging, especially after paying $460. Scheduling has been inconsistent, with her driving sessions spaced too far apart. It's now October, and we've only been contacted just now for her 4th session. During one session, we discovered her license had expired, so she couldn't drive, which I understand entirely. However, I was charged a $45 fee for the missed appointment. When I asked about the policy, the instructor said it wasn't his rule, and the soon-to-be owner claimed it was the instructor's rule. I paid the fee, but I still don't know whose rules we're following. I'm troubled that my daughter is still uncomfortable on the road after seven months and only three drives spaced months apart. Additionally, the instructors do not seem equipped to handle autistic adults. Despite my repeated requests, the one instructor I wanted her to drive with wasn't allowed to teach her. It's upsetting to leave such a negative review, but after trying my best to make this work, I feel compelled to share my experience.

What an awesome experience!!! We drove down from Dallas to take my 16 year old son to do a one day…read morecourse and it was one of the most exciting days ever. They have a really neat program to teach drivers the techniques for rally driving and it works. Wes and Scott were super and really focused on safety and having fun. Their program is focused on showing you what needs to be done, doing the skills, taking a break to let is soak in, and then doing it again. It's very well structured and by the end of the day they were doing the slalom course with a lot of confidence. As for the team, I didn't meet anyone at Rally Ready that wasn't outgoing, personable, and just plain nice. They love rallying, but are genuinely good people. It's not about pulling people in to stack the house, but about teaching a subject which they are passionate about. Thank you Wes, Scott, Dave and the whole team at Rally Ready for making my son's experience the best ever.

Most of the instructors…read moreare too busy chatting, on personal phone calls, or goofing off on their phones to be useful. The classroom teacher Daniel, head of training Will, the only female instructor who only trains manuals, and the hefty guy who they have part time but has drove longer than the rest of them are the only trainers worth the cost of the school. They try and convince everyone to learn manual and that's probably because they really only maintain the manual trucks tho all of them are complete junkers. They leave the students to teach each other including the off sets. When you're driving most of the instructors aren't paying attention to you, the road, or the truck. They only teach you how to drive, straight line back, forward offset, and reverse offset which is fine for the state but not for work. Every company you go to work for wants you to know how to alley part: 45 and 90 degree. ATDS does not teach that. They should. They need to fix or replace those junk trucks, fire those instructors that don't want to work, and teach everything one needs to know. I went to orientation at a company with several who went to Lone Star College and they were more prepared than 90% of us who went to regular trucking schools including atds. Their school did teach the 45s and 90s and a bunch of other stuff.

I had a mixed experience at the Central Texas Training Center. The instructors were…read moreexcellent--knowledgeable, supportive, and committed to helping students succeed. I truly appreciated their professionalism and effort during my time in the program. Unfortunately, the administrative side of the school has been very disappointing. I officially dropped from the program in April, but the school didn't report my withdrawal to the VA until June a months later. Because of this delay, I was charged for a month I didn't attend, which created unnecessary complications with my VA education benefits. The admissions representative has been extremely hard to reach. Every time I visit the school to resolve the issue, I'm told she's unavailable and will call me but she never follows up. I also feel the admissions process lacks transparency and seems geared toward misleading students, especially veterans using VA benefits. While I appreciate the great instructors, I strongly urge future students especially veterans to keep thorough records and be cautious when dealing with admissions.
