As we prayed for guidance, I met two families who told me how much they loved Holy Trinity for their teens without my even asking. At first, I believed there was no way we could manage the cost. I am so glad that we took the first steps anyway. Our freshman son has quickly developed a community of friends who also value their Christian faith. We love that his teachers foster meaningful conversations and deeper learning in their classes. Financially it isn't easy, but we have always felt supported and are so grateful for the generous financial aid that has given our son a faith-filled and academically challenging environment to mature in.

I was thankful for the people who welcomed me as I entered the building and the worship team member who took the initiative to learn my name before the service started when spotting that I was sitting alone. When the service started, there was professional quality multimedia infused in the service, consisting of everything from video backdropped song lyrics to video announcements. The service had a guest preacher from Louisiana, a pastor from one of the churches that sponsored/planted this community. The message was well organized on God's dreams and timing. There was a good blend of teaching, anecdotes and scripture to keep the congregation engaged. It was very meaningful. The congregation seemed familiar with each other and there was a push for small group community. Dress was mostly casual (t-shirt and jeans) and had a very down to earth feel to it. There are 4 services which seat about 300 or so a piece, so the church, which is a few years old, seems to be thriving. A couple nitpicky things: the worship music was all new to me (possibly in house produced?) so putting credits on the lyric slides could help someone look them up ... and also the drums (although well executed) need to be more enclosed with screens to give the audio engineering more balance. Right now they are drowning the vocals and other instruments a bit. Overall a really great experience and I would recommend the church to those in the area looking for a church home.

The church teaches that Christians should support the secular state of Israel and frames support for Judaism as something Christians ought to affirm. From a Baptist, Bible-centered perspective, this is not something I cannot agree with. The Bible is clear about the betrayal and position of the modern Jew. It felt like political/theological pressure rather than clear gospel teaching. I'm sharing this for others who hold traditional Baptist convictions and want to avoid surprises.

I also heard from multiple co-workers that since they did not qualify for the pre-k program at Killeen isd, they decided to place their little one in Memorial Christian Academies accredited pre-k class and seen instant learning as a result. Some of my co-workers decided to keep their children at Memorial all the way through high school, while others stated they enrolled their child in KISD for whatever reason. On both cases every single child was advanced by multiple years. With smaller class room and a curriculum like A Beka your child will be so far ahead of the curve. The administration changed about 2 years ago and it is sad how the school has declined in it's Christian value base. Teachers are selected off of craigs list to fill a position rather than selecting good quality staff to teach our children. The administration is more of a dictatorship than a collaborative teaching environment. When administration gets questioned the children become the victims. It is heartbreaking to watch. The staff is intimidated to the point where they don't speak up and the frustrations become evident in the classrooms. Political agendas, immigration viewpoints and even biblical challenges have found their way into the curriculum. I have talked to some of the other parents and they feel the same. Unfortunately most will not speak up publicly but it I think it is my duty as a parent and Christian to ensure that the truth is brought to light and the children left there are defended. Please do not bring your child here... it's not about the money, it is about the moral compass of the integrity of the school. If you are a current parent, please speak up... the children are counting on you. I like the candles outside the…read morechurch, in the smaller room, my grandson likes to light the candles to Jesus and we pray for family, friends and the world. I also like the children chapel, my grandson can use the restroom and we can listen to the mass as a family. One of the ushers passes the basket and gives a a lollipop to children who put money in the basket. So sweet! Thank you for providing a safe place for prayer and worship.

So through my adulthood I went from church to church to see where I felt most at home. And it wasn't until I went to St. Joseph Catholic Church, and met Father Chris that I felt welcome and at home. Everyone there is so nice and so understanding. They have so many programs that would help in so many different areas of our lives. They don't pressure you to do them but they have them available if you want them. The way Father Chris preaches, it's so relatable to everyone, you just get it. I've been going to this church now for over seven years, I even enrolled my children into the St. Joseph Catholic Academy. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

A scene from a movie was played on the screen during the How to: Stay Married series on 1/24/24 posted online (but the movie clip's audio is muted during the recording). It contained a speech with a significant number of profanities or swear words, praising hookup culture, and getting drunk. Austin said it was a great speech, although I couldn't tell if he was joking; he seemed to love it. He did not though speak on those aspects of the speech; as if that was acceptable behavior.
