A surgeon friend from Chicago recommended Dr. Paredes. I have been athletic my whole life. I…read moresprained my ankle pretty badly in June and by August I was trying to attempt running again. I was not able to, still quite a bit of pain. This is when I went to see Dr. Steve as most of his patients call him. I let him know my hectic work schedule, and he worked with my availability which made it so much easier. Upon meeting him I knew this guys knew his stuff. His assessment was thorough. He made corrections in alignment, a fire cupping and we used the K-laser on a dislocated thumb as well as my ankle. Within 2 weeks I was in a ballet class and I running. That K-laser is magical but so is Dr. Steve's instructions. I still see him for ongoing work. He truly is a healer.

His practice involved everything from chiropractic adjustments and cupping, to laser therapy and diet counseling. He also takes extra time to teach you how to heal yourself at home which has allowed me to go to him for a few sessions and then do the rest of the work at home which is really helpful when you are on a budget or time constrained.

Am I still going to Dr. Jeff? You betcha. I think I'm getting an addiction to feeling so good…read more During the ongoing treatments, Dr. Jeff gives you various exercises to practice at home, and while I am not very compliant in practicing them regularly, they really help when I do them. The atmosphere in his office is so upbeat and positive, it makes you feel better just to go there. But of course the greatest benefits are from his treatments, with his magical fingers that just get into the places that ache and heal them. Since going to Dr. Jeff I can feel a difference during my daily activities: When I'm driving, it's much easier to turn around and look out the window when I'm changing lanes, my neck feels so much looser. My lower back pain has gotten much better, I feel more energy and, really, my vision seems to have improved. I look forward to the continuing ongoing changes, 'cause I'll be back!

BEWARE If you are considering Dr. Listiak for neuropathy…read moretreatment here are a few things to consider: He has a one size fits all program for everyone who walks in the door. The plan consists of different phases which costs of about $5,000.00. You are encouraged to pay this amount up front. If not then you must contract for installments and provide a copy of a check from your checking account, The different phases consist of some lab work, supplements, diet and lifestyle, a couple of neuropathy at home treatment devices and chiropractic treatments and exercises. The problem is that none of the tests or examinations may reveal the cause of your neuropathy, nor may any of the treatments work at all on your specific type of neuropathy. Even if you have some abnormal labs Dr. Listiak is unable to tell for sure if that is causing your neuropathy. In my case I received no benefit whatsoever from the treatment, and no insight in to the cause of my condition from the labs or examination. I believe this practioner takes a rather greedy and dishonest approach to how he sells his service. i would recommend going to a good neurologist who specializes in neuropathy for testing before paying $5,000.00 to someone with no neurology training and no idea of the chances for success.

Dr. Woffard took some x-rays after listening to some of my symptoms. His approach was to work on my optic and auditory nerves that may be compressed which in turn could be causing some of my dizziness. It took about 6 treatments and it went away. He also has a lovely massage therapist named Amelia that I worked with to help keep the muscle area surrounding loosened. She is one of the best massage therapists I've seen. I highly recommend Dr. Woffard and his practice, they are very thorough and want to get to the root of the pain, his goal was to get me healed and on with life.
