She took her time to discuss my hair goals, needs and expectations. The parking lot is rather small and they still make you call in to announce your arrival to see if they can allow you in. Having long hair, getting a good cut that doesn't chop off everything has always been scary. But Nicole was amazing !!! She's not only super talented (it looked better than what I had in mind), she's also incredibly friendly and makes you feel so at ease. This wasn't my typical cuts where the stylist is aloof or looking down on my hair choices and kind of treating me like an idiot. On the contrary, she made me feel so at home and not set conscious about any part of my haircut, she totally respected my vision and was such a sweetheart through it all. To top it off, I got a 25% off discount for having a referral-- if you're on the fence, message me and I can give you a referral for the same discount. It's totally worth it, I already made an appointment for a follow up that day itself which I've never done before

I was new in town, trying to find a hairdresser that I would like. I went in to get magenta ombre…read moreput in my hair and the stylist said she knew how to do it. Let's just say she did not, she completely fried my hair, she didn't even rinse the dye out. Not only that it wasn't magenta, she said she didn't have it so she tried to mix the color. I ended up with purple. they said they talk to a manager and get back to me. When they got back to me, they offered me an appointment with more experienced stylus. I went in. She tried to fix it. She couldn't. She said there was nothing she could do and she was sorry, but she didn't feel comfortable putting any more chemicals on my hair . Keep in mind I'd already paid several hundred dollars for this process. I was told a manager would get back to me they never did. i'm sure for simple styles and haircuts or color. They're probably great. But if you can't do the fun colors, just tell a customer that upfront and don't lie to them. These hairstylist had no idea how to do an ombre. The first girl actually left blotches of white in my hair from the bleach. My husband who never notices my hair actually said to me on vacation why are there big spots of white in your hair.

I've seen her between 4-5 times over the last year and I have never been happier with my hair. She's fantastic at haircuts and really makes sure that she understands your vision before she gets to work. She's also fantastic at looking at a picture of someone's hair color and doing the exact same thing on your head! If you don't believe me, go check the reviews on her booking website! I would totally gatekeep because I don't want all of her openings to disappear but more people need to know that you can get a decent color and cut in Toledo without going too far out of the way for it. 10/10 for Amber's Hair Chair!!

She listens to her clients and works with them in a very collaborative way. Crissy sets high standards for herself and her entire staff, and it shows! As for the salon itself, it has an airy, sophisticated feel and is IMMACULATELY clean. As for the other stylists, they are quality professionals. As I said, I have gone to Crissy -- and only Crissy -- for years. However, that has allowed me to see the work the other stylists are doing. From an observational standpoint, they all are friendly, upbeat, and professional -- and create great product! Over the years she has taught me a lot about skincare. At each visit she takes her time to do it right - carefully waxing, tweezing, and everything else. Some staff at other places I've visited can be lazy or careless, but never Ashley. Also her prices are AMAZINGLY LOW. I had never had my makeup done professionally before, and was dreading it because my 30-year-old face decided to remind me what it felt like to be a teenager. I was covered in blemishes for the first time in years, and so embarrassed. Dori put me at ease, had a great sense of humor, and was so sweet and pleasant about all the little adjustments I wanted her to make to my makeup and hair. Considering I didn't show up with a picture of the look I was going for, she had me looking fabulous. I would highly recommend her for hair, as well as skin, especially if you have problem skin and want it to look photo-ready. I never let people see me without makeup but she put me at ease. My nails were a different story :(. The nail tech only used two coats of a black nail polish--once I got to my car I noticed the coat was transparent and blotchy, and both OPI colors I had on my nails peeled off by dinner.
