    BBQ Smash burger with fries.

My husband and I enjoyed a BBQ Smash burgers, fries and a white wheat beer with an orange slice. Our server was wonderful and we loved the high ceilings & brick vibe. We'll be back!

    What's left of our wings...

Amazing food AND drinks!!! We had the garlic Parmesan wings, brunch burger and chefs salad!!! Looking forward to warmer weather to eat on their deck!!! The wait staff/bar tenders were awesome too!!!

    Ambiance

Great food and ambience! It was quite busy so it was slow to be served and slow getting the check but overall great costumer service and food!

This place is pricey but worth it. We were back recently for our anniversary. The food is just wonderful.

I'm a breakfast regular, early mornings with the local fisherman and tradesmen and mid morning with families and other locals. Just order the days special, or hope they've still got haddock chowder and pie with ice cream left (all house made and great). Booths and counter space. Very casual but always clean and bustling. Super friendly (and fast and pro) staff, even if you're from away . Coffee refills at the ready (this isn't Starbucks, don't expect an espresso machine). Off street parking in their lot, open year round. Did I mention the chowder and pie?

The more you look around the more you realize why it is called the galley. If you stop in look for all of the things you might see in the galley of a ship. It is a family run diner. The wait staff were very congenial and rather cheery, the service was great, the prices were good, the portions were larger than we expected but more importantly delicious. The other patrons seemed to be locals as there were lively discussions not only at their table but from table to table. When someone new walked in there were greetings to them from other patrons. The atmosphere was awesome, the food was great, the staff were welcoming, and the decor fit the name! PS The diner was clean!

We thought it wouldn't be open this year, we got the good news. The new owner also stated there i "a new "Yard" play area for families, including a sand pit, yard games, picnic tables, and an old sailboat hull for climbing and planting. It's always a struggle to find free things for kiddos to do all year round and thought it was a great use of the space." They are back, check them out!!

Tasted horrible today. Oddly the outside rolls were ok. Maybe the butter was held warm too long? Something was off enough that my "don't eat that" alarm went off. Since Mrs P brought this back to the house I was able to change the roll and continue. Back in the day the burgers were not 1/4 pound as they seemed today. Witness preferred them when they were White Castle or slider sized. The onion rings seem to have returned to their once glory. Can not say if they are homemade or not. If not they are best the Cisco truck has to offer. A few years ago they were the worst food ever served. Particularly when compared to back in the day.

Unfortunately, not this time. I started with Westpoint oysters which were superb, maybe my best raw oysters ever. I usually then order the sprouts but decided to go back to a previous favorite of mine from my dinners there in '22 and '23, the mussels, which had been served then with some epic sourdough toast which made them a 5-star because you could sop up the delicious broth and still have a delightful crunch. Unfortunately they now only are served with some sourdough bread discs, which just get saturated and soggy. Not at all the same experience. Most of that wonderful broth was wasted. Then, the lobster risotto, which had always been scrumptious. Unfortunately, the chefs got heavy-handed with the cheese in the risotto so that the taste of the sweet lobster chunks was overpowered rather than complimented as it was in every previous year. I spoke with Shane, their very personable and capable manager about the mussels(or clams) and lack of toast so hopefully that will change by next year when I return. It's still a great restaurant with a wonderful view of the Sheepscot River, a destination experience.

There's a reason we keep coming back - the food and service. The ambiance is ok. Basic tables and chairs and some "circus" type of decorations on the wall. They have a pretty consistent menu that really hasn't changed, at least not that I have noticed. They have "signature" sandwiches or you can build your own. They have hot and cold deli sandwiches available. They also have wedge fries that are oven baked. Family favorites; Sonny's Supreme and the classic italian. I also also love their breakfast sandwich options. They have a cooler of beverages. My favorite is Fresca. A soda I never have at home and I soda I always buy when I can at a deli. Pairs perfectly. Don't sleep on the sweets for sale by the register. The cookies and whoopie pies are usally tasty. The staff seems consistent - hardworking, customer service oriented and nice to interact with. They keep the simple dining area as clean as they are able - during the lunch hours during the week - this place is always packed!!! Wow...it's great to see and hope this means this buiness will stay around for years to come. Parking - many parking options within .5 mile from the location. We still visit here and we still recommend it to family and friends.

They have a very large menu and after sifting through it a bit, I chose "The Big Top" which is a pastrami Reuben. I, personally love Reubens and was excited to try a variation that was the namesake. I was ultimately dissapointed that the sandwich wasn't served on Rye bread and was considerably smaller than the sandwiches my coworkers got. The sandwich itself was tasty but the juices from the sauce made the bread soggy by the time we made it back to the office (short drive). I'm not sure if I made a bad decision or if my review accurately reflects the quality - I won't be going back unless I'm sitting down to eat the sandwich right away and I won't be getting the "The Big Top" again.
