Update, still awful. I sent in all the paperwork for the break in at the beginning of December for…read morethe insurance. I asked them 3-4 times if they got it and they said yes and they submitted it. Over a month later on Jan 13th they finally told me they never sent in my insurance claim and they don't even have it so I had to resend it. They told me the claim finally got approved and the check will be here in 10-14 days. It's been 26 days and I still have nothing. My unit got broken into sometime in October and I still have not gotten my insurance payout because these people have no clue what they are doing, they pretended like they help but do nothing, and they honestly screw over the customers. I've talked to a lot of other renters and everyone I have talked to has been treated poorly by these people. Almost every conversation includes I'm looking for a new place. The gates and doors are broken all the time so I find homeless and other people who shouldn't be there. The amount of times I've seen someone trying to steal a bike out front or something is crazy. They've also messed up my card payments 3-5 times. I have auto pay and have always had money on my cards, yet somehow every few months I get an email saying thanks for finally paying and there was a late fee added. They even sent me emails that they cut off my own lock and put their lock on because "I missed a payment." Honestly it's taking everything in me not to go in and curse these awful individuals out. They still have not fixed their shit and they decide to throw more shit on me all of the time. I am so fucking over it. Once they finally give me my couple thousand, I'm probably going to find a new place too. Awful awful awful. Honestly they have seriously damaged my financial well being because of all this. They told me my claim was in in December so I bought my stuff back, it was over $6K stolen because they said they check would be there in a few weeks. Now it's been 3 months and still no check and my bank is still way lower than it should be because I used all my savings. I hate GreenBox. Not to mention, they also refused to let me use the truck when I moved in and they said that's free.

You can go in at any time with your code. After a while, they started locking down the garbage outside. I was going through my mom's things after she passed away, and I had to take everything I wanted to throw away home with me. It was frustrating that they didn't have a way to take care of that there. I started to get a little sketched out when I went on the weekends. It was pretty empty, but I would run into people who gave the impression of hanging out (sitting in the hall, charging their phones.... No idea if they actually were living there, but it just gave me a weird vibe). I tried to go into the office to take care of a problem that I had and no one was in there during regular business hours. That was frustrating when I drove all the way there to meet with someone. I could've dealt with all that, but my last straw was after I had been paying on time for years, there was some situation with my credit card, and they charged me a late fee. I took care of it as soon as I got the email about it, but they wouldn't reverse the fee and because it was the weekend, they also disabled my code, so I couldn't get in. So annoying that they would throw away a good customer relationship just to get a late fee. I then packed up my stuff and moved somewhere else.

I recently reserved a uhaul for a move from Colorado to Nebraska…read more Problem #1 was that I wasn't even trying to rent from this location. Unfortunately, what I've learned is that when you go on the Uhaul site to make your reservation, the site will let you reserve anything you want from whatever location you choose, without making any effort to verify that the equipment you reserved will actually be available at the location you want to rent from. Only after you made and confirmed your reservation does uhaul's "scheduling department" manually check if the equipment you requested is available and they apparently have the power to change your reservation without even telling you! And so I ended up renting from this location even though it was not particularly convenient for me and was not the one I wanted to rent from. Problem #2 is that if you encounter any problems (before or during your move) with your reservation, contacting uhaul for assistance is a major undertaking. When you call their 800 number you get to navigate the usual menus to select who you want to talk to based on why you are calling. But no matter what you select it seems you always just get connected to a generic operator who inevitably tells you that you are calling the "wrong department" and that you need to call someone else. Often the "right department" is only a 9am to 5pm operation, so hope you don't need help outside those hours! As far as this location goes, the guy who assisted me in signing for my equipment was nice and helpful enough. But then problem #3 was that even though the "scheduling department" moved my reservation here because it was the only location within hundreds of miles that SUPPOSEDLY had the equipment I wanted, it turned out they were out of dollys and couldn't give me the one I reserved. Getting that fixed was another one of those long phone calls to the "right department." The move itself went okay. The truck was nice and in good condition. I paid for all the special insurance coverage, which was good because I ended up using roadside assistance twice and it was free with my coverage. Overall the experience could have been worse, but it could have also been a lot better if uhaul just had better communication with their customers.

The next evening I received a voicemail from an employee at the store indicating "I hadn't been in contact with anyone" and that my rental "was very late". They then threatened to report it as stolen. The attached call log proves I was in communication. Very disappointed in the service.

I was a customer at the 4120 S Federal Blvd, Englewood Cube Smart for several years. From about…read more2014 through Feb. 2022. I never had a problem with security, which gave me peace of mind as I know many storage facilities get broken into. That was never an issue here, and I even left my key in my padlock one time! Thankfully, the staff on site found the key in the lock while on their rounds, notified me and held onto it until I could come by to pick it up. Speaking of the staff, their customer service is excellent, most especially Mike Wims, the General Manager. He's just a nice person in general, but he has helped me out so many times. The rent at Cube Smart is not cheap, and I would have shopped around for a more budget-friendly facility, but I honestly did not want to lose the customer service care I've received from Mike and his staff. That is what mainly kept me there. The CubeSmart online payment site is another story. I know that's not this location's fault, but almost every month for close to two years now I had issues. Either I couldn't get logged in or there were other issues within the website, forcing me to call the location to pay. Also, there is a dumpster on site, but customers are not allowed to use it. I took issue with that as I've been at other storage facilities that were more than happy to share their dumpsters with their renters. For the price I paid monthly, I expected those services. Instead, I had carload after carload of trash runs, creating quite a bit of an inconvenience while trying to organize and clean my storage unit. But essentially, if you can afford it and want a secure facility with friendly and helpful staff, look no further.
