I recently reserved a uhaul for a move from Colorado to Nebraska. Problem #1 was that I wasn't even trying to rent from this location. Unfortunately, what I've learned is that when you go on the Uhaul site to make your reservation, the site will let you reserve anything you want from whatever location you choose, without making any effort to verify that the equipment you reserved will actually be available at the location you want to rent from. Only after you made and confirmed your reservation does uhaul's "scheduling department" manually check if the equipment you requested is available and they apparently have the power to change your reservation without even telling you! And so I ended up renting from this location even though it was not particularly convenient for me and was not the one I wanted to rent from. Problem #2 is that if you encounter any problems (before or during your move) with your reservation, contacting uhaul for assistance is a major undertaking. When you call their 800 number you get to navigate the usual menus to select who you want to talk to based on why you are calling. But no matter what you select it seems you always just get connected to a generic operator who inevitably tells you that you are calling the "wrong department" and that you need to call someone else. Often the "right department" is only a 9am to 5pm operation, so hope you don't need help outside those hours! As far as this location goes, the guy who assisted me in signing for my equipment was nice and helpful enough. But then problem #3 was that even though the "scheduling department" moved my reservation here because it was the only location within hundreds of miles that SUPPOSEDLY had the equipment I wanted, it turned out they were out of dollys and couldn't give me the one I reserved. Getting that fixed was another one of those long phone calls to the "right department." The move itself went okay. The truck was nice and in good condition. I paid for all the special insurance coverage, which was good because I ended up using roadside assistance twice and it was free with my coverage. Overall the experience could have been worse, but it could have also been a lot better if uhaul just had better communication with their customers. read more

I had a storage unit at this place for over two years and when I got it all they raved about was they've never raised prices in 10 years. The time I was there, I think it was raised over three different times anything they tell you in person make sure you get that in writing. They won't honor anything they'll tell you that was a misunderstanding. A lot of of homeless people around there very unsafe place. I was there during the day and watched probably three or four different homeless people just walk right into that place. I've been in there before where you see homeless people just sitting in the bathroom. That's why they put a code on the door to keep homeless people out but the door doesn't even lock. You can just pull on it and get right in. So don't ever be there by yourself. It is a very unsafe place and the staff is terrible. read more

I have tried for 3 days now to get my UBoxes to be arranged for pick up but no one answers the phone and the line gets transferred to corporate and the information corporate gives doesn't add up to what the local facilities say. BEWARE!!!!! Horrible experience from start to finish. I scheduled a hitch installation on their website and paid it in full. I picked from the locations they provided and specially picked one across town because it was the only one with the option to not drop it off for the installation. I did not want to be without my vehicle all day, so this worked great for me. 2 weeks later, I show up for my installation. I am the first appointment when they open and arrive early enough to witness several employees onsite. When they open I walk in and say I am there for my 7 am hitch installation appointment. The man with a large green beanie on says, "we don't do hitch installations." and then stares at me like there are people behind you. I say how can this be, I scheduled, paid for, and picked this location from your website. He shrugs and again looks at me like there are people behind you. I am not only upset but I can't believe this employee is doing NOTHING to help me. I ask for a supervisor because I paid for this service and need help. He says, "I am the only one here." Again, I am appalled that this person is not calling anyone else or even trying to help me. Something told me not to leave, so I go to my car and make a phone call customer service while I search for my confirmation email. When I get customer service on the phone I learn that this location does indeed do hitch installations, that if they no longer do hitch installations I should have been contacted the day I scheduled it, that this location does not have a GM associated with it, and that in order for me to get a refund/reschedule this location must cancel my reservation first. I went back inside and of course I am not happy at this point. Now there are 2 employees behind the desk, more lies from the employee stating he was the only one there - again I had already seen at least 4 employees in the 20 minutes I had been there. I approached the desk again and said that they must cancel the appointment in order for me to reschedule or get a refund. The first guy, who offered me NO help and was rude, completely ignored me. The second employee looked it up and said let me finish with this customer then I can help you. He then walked out with a customer. The other employee followed suite with his own customer. I stood there watching 3 employees outside helping 1 customer for well over 10 minutes. The customer service person says, I am sorry but I can't remain on the phone forever. I said, I am not letting you go until I get this handled. I explained what I was seeing with the 3 employees outside chatting with 1 customer and said would you like me to go out there and ask them to help me? Finally, after confronting the 3 employees and saying is it possible for one of you to help me so I can get on with my day? He continued to have a horrible attitude, laughing, sighing and arguing with me when I said can you not even understand why I would be upset? He then says, all the other customers had no issue with the fact that all our employees quite, but you. Now, I raised my voice because I was livid. I said, you did not tell me that everyone quite. You told me that you were the only one here - BIG DIFFERENCE. When I asked him his name he refused to give it to me saying all I want to do is get him fired. I said, there is no way for you to know my intentions. For your information, my intention is to get the the training you clearly need. Keep in mind, the customer service lady is on the phone with me so all of this is being recorded. I then give a description of the employee. After waiting 45 minutes, I was finally given a receipt/refund cancelling my appointment by the employee who had told me at the top of all of this that he was new and couldn't help me. I was a paying customer and he treated me like I was a leper. It was a HORRIBLE experience. Clearly, this location has multiple issues that MUST be addressed by someone immediately. If I could give no stars, I would. The ONLY thing that said it all was the customer service rep. She was awesome. read more

The manager of this UHUAL name is Jeremy. He allows his employee, Kyle to damage vehicles and work without any supervision. It took Kyle 7 HOURS to install a hitch on our Jeep renegade. They (Kyle and Jeremy) blamed their tools for not working well. After calling customer service numerous times, Kelly was sent to help with our hitch install from another Uhual store. Kelly did a great job with our install. When we arrived home we noticed that Kyle had scratched the body of our vehicle with tools (photos attached). He then ran our vehicle into some object and caused impact scars on the passenger and drivers side of vehicle that are the size of an infant. He scratched our rims and other parts of the car. We are currently in communication with people at uhual corporate and their insurance company. It's unfortunate for them how terrible their customer service is. Kyle's immaturity in how he treated our car and argued with us is his problem not ours. read more

Attempted to rent a trailer only to be told an hour later that none are available, not only did they not have anything available, but I went to get a tow hitch installed with wiring and completely messed it up. I wouldn't recommend anybody getting an installation here, not experienced. Rushed to finish a job that couldn't even be done correct. This Uhaul NEVER answers their phone and we had to drive 30 minutes to even speak with them about a Ubox reservation they were withholding from us for no reason. THEN when our move was finally finished they FORGOT to close out our reservation, and we are now STILL being charged storage fees for two Uboxes we have nothing to do with. Their mistake literally opened ANOTHER reservation for us and we're being charged for storage of Uboxes in a completely different state. We submitted a claim a week ago and are unable to get this figured out or get a refund. read more

Excellent customer service, Kendall Anastia, and the team listened carefully while I attempted to plan a long distance move. They made great suggestions and helped pull together my plan. The 26' truck only had 28k miles, and had Bluetooth and 4 cup holders! Important stuff for long distance moves. All in, we saved about 5k moving ourself, including the cost to hire some amazing loading and packing assistance from the folks at MUV (highly recommended as well). read more

I'm giving 4 stars to the friendly guy I that checked me out here... And -2 to the fact that the tire blew out on the trailer I rented on the highway. Nightmare. Roadside assistance was 30 min late for a total of almost 2 hours I got to sit on the side of the highway. On the plus side, I got really good at this game I invented of throwing a rock at a bigger rock further away. It's riveting. Try it the next time your stranded in the middle of nowhere. The guy was friendly and efficient when he got here, but my main ask for roadside assistance is speed, not good conversation. I realize that these things may have been out of this locations control, but the trailer did look pretty beat up, and had Texas plates, so that tire was just due to blow after what I'm guessing was a cross country trip. Tanner and the other managers present seemed to be annoying that I was even expressing my frustration. Even to the point of one of them raising their voice over the phone. I am in the midst of a nightmare move. This will be the second time moving in two weeks, and we had to discard all of the cardboard boxes we brought to the new place and can't use cardboard for the second move. I rented some of the plastic ready boxes online. The first Uhaul location where I reserved them didn't have any and sent me here. The folks at this location only had 2 of the 12 I had rented, and 30 minutes before closing they worked really hard to track down where I could find the rest. They were able to figure out where to pick up the other 10 within a convenient distance despite the fact that the company has discontinued the product, and made sure to confirm with the other location that they would be available. The efforts and kindness of the staff at this location were a bright spot in an otherwise very challenging process. read more

Don't you ever go to this place. Me and two others walked in and waited for 15 minutes to even see a person, they had the phones going off with no one answering it, and two people, gm Shane or Shayne (however he spells it) and a lady that also works there, talking in the office right next to the phones, and desks. When we finally saw someone, they were still talking to each other while I'm trying to give the general manager my information to pick up the reserved pickup truck, which we called from place to place for, for hours trying to find a pickup truck, then we finally found one and reserved it for 6 days, which you would think is perfectly fine, we're paying for it. Then the general manager Shane was rude and snarky from the get go, and no one did anything to him. He was rude to his employe right in front of us also. Then after all of this he wanted to abuse his power, not let us rent the pickup, and say "I don't feel comfortable" but wanted to give us the 10' box instead? Because that's more comfortable? Okay. But also HE KNOWS THERE IS THREE OF US, and gives us the box that only has two seats. And one of the main reasons I called around and reserved the pickup was because of the three seats. THEN WE GO IN AND HE LIES TO US AND SAYS THE PICKUP ONLY HAS TWO, then we literally walk out and look into the pickup and guess what? There's three fucking seats. Then we're standing outside in the freezing cold and they are just staring at us. What a joke. read more

Rarely need to use U-Haul services but this time was one that needed to be acknowledged for professional and admirable service during a difficult time. When I arrived before the service provider early this morning to learn that they had been in an accident on his way in, my heart was immediately broken and planned to leave and reschedule. Within an hour they had an installer there to cover his co worker and friend. This speaks loudly to your team sticking together and doing everything they can to make the wheels turn during a tragic jolt in the day. It means a lot to a customer for a team to step up like that and my heart breaks with you for your friend. My heart and thoughts go out to recovery to your friend and all of you at this difficult time. These guys were GREAT. Ordered a day ahead for a trailer for a single day use and it was ready to go when I got there. There was some electrical issue with my SUV when the trailer was hooked up so they couldn't rent me the trailer. They take me inside, lay out a couple options for trucks/vans and had me in a new van and on my way AT MY ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED TIME. Nothing was a "burden" or a "pain" to them when things didn't go as planned originally, THEY JUST SOLVED THE ISSUE AND GOT ME ON MY WAY. Everyone I spoke with was quick and helpful. They assured me a refund for both issues because they knew they screwed up but it never showed up. I was very happy to hear that the guy who helped me actually hates his job (Lance). Lance is a really rude guy. When i was returning the equipment, nobody even showed up to help me with that. On top of that, when i got to the office to sign paperwork, nobody was there. I had to go outside and find somebody who could help me. The girl with red hair i found was also rude. I scheduled hitch installation online with uhaul 3 weeks prior to appointment. I call this location using the 720 area code not the 800 number the day before my appt to confirm my time and appt. I was told yes your appt is at 930. I drive 4 hours to come to Denver for this appt only to be told they don't have the part. I am told "you should have called us directly" by the manager I.Medina. I explained I did only to be told "well it probably rolled over to someone out of our office"-no apology, no sorry you drove 4 hours how can we fix this-just you should have done x,y,z - pretty disappointing and pathetic- Would Never recommend this store read more

I am recently moved from Turkey to Denver to start a new beginning for me and my wife. We were moving from our rented place in Greenwood Village to Denver after our lease was done and so we had our things stored for a short period of time with a Ubox. My wife gets a call when we are in the car to pick up the box telling us that they "don't have a system in place to track the boxes" and they don't know what happened to it, where it is, or what we should do. It has been a week now and we are sitting in an empty house with no updates. We were told on the phone today that it may have been stolen and there is nothing we can do. Everything gone. Now I really have nothing, and all of my few possessions I brought with me to this country have been stolen. I am so sad. read more

If I could give this business 0 stars I would. Diana (employee) and Matt (owner) are both incompetent with the billing and scheduling system. To make a long story short, someone rented out the truck I reserved so Diana just gave me someone else's. When I returned the truck the charges for my truck Matt charged another persons credit card for my charges and her charges went on mine. First the good: one guy named Aaron Y. Works his tail off and understands the value of customer service. Too bad he's the only one. Now the bad and ugly: If I could give his place 0 stars I would. I made a reservation for 3 U-boxes online a month and a half before my move. I showed up to pick them up and they didn't have the reservation. Never asked to see my reservation number and had to scramble to find me 3 u-boxes. They had to assemble the first one while I waited. I towed it to my place filled it for an hour and came back for the second. They still hadn't assembled any more for me. After a 40 minute wait I left with the second of three boxes. I filled it in an hour, had to unhook it myself when I got to the Uhaul location and left to go get lunch. Almost two hours later I came back expecting the final box to be assembled. Nope. Still waiting. I think it took me longer to wait for the product I ordered a month ago than it did for me to actually load all my belongings into the u boxes. Unreal. Fast forward 12 days, I call days in advance to make sure my boxes full of stuff would be ready to picked up. I am assured they will be. The morning of my closing I show up to get my stuff. It's deja vu all over again. Nothing is ready. Aaron works his butt off to find and get my stuff. I anticipate once again a day of waiting for Uhaul to fulfill my order I placed months ago. U boxes are easy and great. Just don't get them here. read more

WARNING!!!! This location is a subject of RECURRING THEFT! Our ubox container was "misplaced" or stolen. They do not record the numbers carefully and do not track your boxes. Our ENTIRE LIFE was in our moving box and now it's all gone! We contacted englewood POLICE immediately who told us that this location has had MANY vehicles and boxes stolen from them in the past weeks! DO NOT COME HERE! We are absolutely heartbroken and devastated. All our photos, degrees, electronics, and furniture from my grandparents I will never see again. Can't stop crying, I am in complete shock.We are completely devastated and in mourning. Isiah the manager waited until we were literally on our way to pick it up to tell us it was gone. He handled our boxes and they were "conveniently" out of site of the cameras. How can an entire container magically disappear from a location with cameras in such a short period of time?!????
