Our guide Tim picked us up at the Fallsview Casino, which was convenient for us, before we picked up one more group of 2. The small group of us (4 plus Tim) was just the right size. Tim was very knowedgeable both about wine and the Niagra region. He took the time to get to know each of us and what tastes were like in wine. We stopped at 4 wineries (all were equally delicious, although I'd have to say my favorite was the red Ice Wine from Vineland) and each time Tim brought us inside, introduced us to the staff, and helped offer suggestions based on what he had learned about us. We also learned the proper way to taste at our very first stop. This was a welcome change from other tours we have done in the past where the tour bus simply stops in the parking lot while you go inside, sample, then come out when you are ready to leave. This was much more personable and made for an excellent tour experience. In addition to the 4 wineries we stopped at the Upper Canada Cheese company to sample their fine cheeses, as well as stopped mid-day in Jordan Village for lunch. The tour was well structured and you had plenty of time to shop after each tasting as well if you wanted to (although none of the wineries/staff were pushy in any way whatsoever.) Overall it was a great day, great experience, and I would certainly consider other future tours with Discovery.

Disappointing customer service experience…read more While visiting Toronto, I purchased a City Sightseeing ticket online. I was traveling solo and only intended to buy one ticket, but the booking system defaulted to two tickets and I did not notice until after the purchase was completed. As soon as I realized the mistake, I immediately submitted a cancellation request for the extra ticket. The second ticket was never used. What was particularly frustrating is that the tickets are advertised as having free cancellation. Only after contacting customer service did I learn that tickets purchased within 24 hours of use are excluded from that policy. While this may be disclosed in the fine print, it was not obvious to me when booking. I fully accept responsibility for not catching the quantity before completing the purchase. However, I was disappointed that no goodwill exception, credit, transfer option, or partial refund was offered despite the cancellation request being made immediately and the extra ticket never being used. I have taken City Sightseeing tours in multiple cities over the years and have always enjoyed them. As an Airbnb host, I have also recommended City Sightseeing tours to many of my guests looking for an easy way to explore a new city. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reconsider those recommendations. Policies are important, but how a company handles honest mistakes says a lot about how it values repeat customers.

Roxanne, our driver, was amazing as she navigated Manhattan traffic, taking the bus through spots that most would avoid even in a compact car. The bus itself was clean, although the seats were less than comfortable for such a long drive, even with frequent rest stops. The hotel was lovely, and breakfasts were very good. We likely will not do another bus tour, preferring to set our own schedule, but this was an excellent way to see New York for the first time.

Our Tour Director was Natasha and Driver named Miriam on a Kunkel coach bus. The trip was scheduled for travel on day 1 and 4. Day 2 and 3 was a guided tour and happened to be two of the hottest & humid days in NYC; 90 followed by 100 degrees temperature only! The hotel was very nice and the guided part of the trip was just enough history and information about the sights to make it a very memorable vacation. Crossing the border was an unbelievable experience, both TO in record time and BACK having the bus searched, all luggage and all passengers had to carry in all their belongings & purchases into the Customs office for processing. After 2 passengers on our bus to NYC received tragic news on our way there, the tour guides decided on a whim and without notifying the remaining 46 passengers to turn our bus around in the middle of the night!! I strongly advise all future clients to think carefully before booking with such an UNPROFESSIONAL and IRRATIONAL company. Please save yourselves the money and worry and book with a more reputable company that has CONTINGENCY PLANS in place in the event of emergency situations.

They charge you a certain price but when you get on the bus , they come around before the bus even moves to collect a $5.00 "tip" . Tips are suppose to be voluntary based on service AFTER the service is provided and is VOLUNTARY . They also collect $2.00 for a draw on a $10.00 voucher to the duty free shop . I am sure Duty Free supplies them with the voucher free of charge and they are not supposed to make money on it . Kind of smells . Unethical

We had reservations for meals at very nice restaurants, with delicious food options! Lots of optional excursions, and lots of free time too. Hotel was very comfortable and talk about LOCATION! We were able walk a short distance to all the places mentioned! Oh, did I mention Bryant Park ice skating ring, and Christmas Village Artisans Market? It was wonderful. The bus was comfortable, and driver Steve was very entertaining. My heartfelt Thank You, for taking care of us and showing us such a fun time! Absolutely fabulous time riding Maid of the Mist into the heart of Niagara Falls…read more Check in was super easy and after a short elevator down to the water, we were given a poncho and thanks goodness for that. You will get wet. A small change of position from the boat seems to bring sheets of water onto the decks. Judging from everyone's faces, we were all enjoying ourselves. I highly recommend this.
