Total scam artists.
I wish I could report them for fraud, but they cleverly write their billing policy fine print to ultimately fuck over their customers. I ended up paying $800 for a VIP ticket, and had to purchase another shuttle pass from JusCollege because FG was all sold out.

My group and I decided to attend EDC2016 in February, and I thought I was being responsible buy buying a ticket early, and subjecting myself to the layaway plan to spread out the payments. I received a confirmation for my order with a receipt, and everything seemed to be in order. In May, the horror stories of people not receiving their boxes started surfacing, and I thought I was one of the unlucky thousands of people in the same boat. I didn't question Front Gate, and followed their rules to go pick up my order in Las Vegas.
When I got to will call, I was informed my order was cancelled. What? I was still receiving email updates about the event, yet I never received an email that said my order was cancelled.
Apparently, Front Gate failed to bill me for the third payment in the layaway. And it was (as mentioned above) cleverly written into the fine print that it was my responsibility as a customer to let them know that they didn't charge me; this resulted in a default of my order. I was left standing there wondering about my two on time payments, and if I would get a refund for that. Only after I argued with the one FG representative available there, did he contact their hq and send me a refund confirmation for the initial two payments. Additional kicker to that, they kept an additional $70 dollars as "transaction fees".
But I was there...in Vegas already...with no ticket. I wasn't going to NOT go to EDC. I said okay fine, I'll just pay for a general admission ticket there on the spot, and buy a LINQ pass that I promised to someone else. Yeah right... All general admission tickets were sold out, and the only ones available were an $800 VIP pass. As I didn't want to deal with the hassle of scalpers, I sucked it up and paid for the $800 ticket. Didn't even manage to get a shuttle pass, but luckily my friends had me covered.
If this review makes no sense to anyone, guess what, I HAD TO FUCKING DEAL WITH IT IN PERSON.

Overall:
- Thought I was going to pay $574.58 for a GA ticket and shuttle pass.
- Successfully completed my first 2 payments for: $280.88 and $146.85
- Third charge never came resulting in a default and I only got a refund for: $210.88 and $146.85 ($70 kept as transaction fees)
- Ended up paying for an $800 VIP Pass that was absolutely not worth it.
- The $800 VIP did not include a shuttle pass, which I intended to resell to a friend for face value (106.09).
Total extra that I had to pay for the event because Front Gate scammed me: $471.51 (someone correct me if this is wrong)

Edit: oh yeah, and they didn't even have the decency to give me a box...I walked away from will call that day with just the wristband, an $800 charge on my CC, $70 out from the refund transaction fees, and a really sour taste in my mouth. read more
