We shall see concerts in the Alamodome or Chase Canter and headed here to see Bruce Springsteen as we try and catch some of our favorite artists while they are still touring! I was very impressed with this venue! It was a bit chaotic arriving as there were limited people to guide you and worse when people arrived after the concert started , it was not easy to find your row - in the Alamodome they do direct you! That problem aside it was a great venue! Acoustics were really good, and easy to see the band! Loved th fact that in this concert people were right up against the stage not set apart a large distance so it had an old school concert feel! Seats were comfortable and loved the drink options included everything from Electric Jellyfish to Moet and Chandon!! Better than the usual concert choices of cheap yellow beer! Also convenient to downtown - we walked the mile back to our hotel rather than deal with the Uber surge pricing and it was a quick and easy walk ! Would definitely come to this venue again for a concert !

4.5 My husband and I returned to the Moody Center to watch two separate concerts in the Month of March. We usually have to park at a distance and walk to the venue as they have streets closed off close to the venue. Sometimes we catch a pedicab but it depends on when we go and how often they come around. There are several entrances around the venue. You have to go through security before entering the building. As soon as you enter the building you have to check in with your digital tickets. Then you can get to where you need to go. There are several levels. There are elevators and escalators to go up and down different levels. There are merchandise stands where you can purchase the items you choose. There are several places where you can buy food, snacks, and drinks. Once you find your section and seats you can watch the show or event of your choice. The seats are okay and mostly comfortable but they are really close together. Sometimes I feel claustrophobic so my husband usually gets an edge seat for me if it's available. *A side note* Unfortunately I lost my wallet at one of the concerts that I attended. They have a lost and found link online where you can put in a report of what went missing and how they can notify you on the status of your missing items. This was helpful but unfortunately my items still haven't been found. Overall the Moody Center is a good venue to watch the event of your choice. It's a huge venue where you can buy merchandise and have several food and drink options.

The Moody Center is one of my favorite entertainment venues in Austin. Moody Center is a $375M, 15,000+ seat premier venue featuring over 150 nights a year of unique entertainment. Moody Center features the best and biggest names in the music industry while hosting The University of Texas Women's and Men's basketball games, family shows and other sporting and local events. I have attended numerous concerts and Texas basketball games here, and most every experience has been problem free and enjoyable. Parking can be expensive and a challenge so be prepared to walk a distance if you don't want to pay a lot for parking. Getting through security is pretty easy, they have a clear bag policy. You have to empty your pockets and go through a metal detector. Then your tickets are scanned at the door. There are plenty of concession options, numerous local restaurants and bars with adult beverage options. The price point for is high but not completely outrageous. Moody Center is a cashless facility. There are plenty of friendly and helpful staff on site to answer questions and direct you to your seat. The acoustics at concerts are incredible, every note comes through crystal clear, and the sightlines are excellent from almost every seat. For basketball games, the energy in the arena is electric. Fans are engaged, the seats are comfortable, and it's easy to get a great view of the action. Whether you're coming for music, sports, or any live event, the Moody Center delivers a consistently high-quality experience. Can't

Saw Journey last night. Just an epic show. Traffic in of course is crazy, like any event. The road is closed right in front of the Moody Center. Which was super unfortunate for me. I was using GPS to find my parking garage, and the road closure didn't come up and I literally was feet away from the garage, which ended up being a 10 mile out of the way trying to go around the road closure. The struggle is real. If you can Uber in, highly recommend. But if you find parking further away, they have the Peddle bikes that will bring you. And they are everywhere! By the time I got to the parking garage, and got to the Center, there were no lines. I walked right through. Security looked inside my tiny purse, went through the doors. Someone scanned my ticket, and asked if I needed help finding my seats. I said yes. She looked at my ticket and said, just head up the escalator and keep walking till you see 29 that brought me through the doors inside the concert area. Then I looked for my section. Then my letter and my seat. SOOO, I don't know this arena and the seating, so I used the map to pick my seats. It did not, NOT show that I was the very VERY top row. So the map was a little miss leading. And actually a guy next to me asked, "did you know this was your seat?" I was like no. I would never go to the very top. But my ticket was $120! And I don't mind saving money for a top row seat, every so often. So something was a little off with the seating map. I've always picked side stage. How ever the seating was messed up. I was happy to be there. Happy to hear real music with heart, with soul, telling a story of love and heartache. Moody Center is a really nice, large arena. Everyone is super helpful getting you to your seat. Lots of people everywhere willing to help you. They do have food, and drinks, and can beer and White Claws. Of course they are expensive. I got a White Claw for $18.00. Maybe it was 20 ounces. Bathrooms are everywhere, and they are clean. In the bathroom I was in, there was an attendee inside cleaning, and restocking. Had a great time. It was like reliving my young 20 years. Cant wait for the next concert. Play list: 1. Faith in the Heartland 2. Only the Young 3. Guitar Solo 4. Stone in Love 5. Be Good to Yourself 6. Just the Same Way 7. Lights 8. Still They Ride 9. Escape 10. Piano Solo 11. Who's Crying Now 12. Mother, Father 13. Suzanne 14. Guitar Solo 15. Wheel in the Sky 16. Separate Ways (Worlds Apart) 17. Feelin' That Way 18. Anytime 19. Dead or Alive 20. I'll Be Alright Without You 21. Open Arms 22. La Do Da 23. Any Way You Want It 24. Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin' 25. Faithfully 26. I saw Jo Koy last night and it was a packed house! Despite it being completely full, it was extremely orderly. Moody's lay out is well designed for large crowds. I had floor seats and was worried getting out would be difficult but it wasn't so bad. There's different "portals" for different portions of Moody and everyone who worked there was very helpful and friendly about giving directions and checking tickets. There are several parking lots nearby that's a short walk or there's multiple bicycle carts to take you back and forth if you wanted. I also saw a lot of street parking that's open to the public after 6pm or so, so you don't have to pay for parking if you don't want to. If you do, I just used the Park Whiz app and it was so easy in and out with the QR code. This is much better than the show that I saw at Bass Concert Hall. There's also food options. They're OK. I went to Shaq's But Chicken. Meh. It's like airport food. But I wasn't there for the food lol

    Twice VIP!
    Laura P.

I went to Moody Center for Twice THIS IS FOR 2026 tour both Friday and Saturday! Friday was a VIP day for me and everything was organized and went very smoothly. We got our bags, quickly entered the venue and waited for soundcheck. I tried The Feels cocktail which was alright- but not bad for other music venues I've been to. It was about $23 after tip which honestly is on the cheaper side for most stadiums/venues/theaters etc. I also had the Tony Cs Pizza pockets which were really good and super cheap! $12 for three I was pleasantly surprised. The sound, vibe, and lighting was great. Overall 10/10 experience Saturday: I was non VIP which was a pretty different experience from the day previous. We bought tickets really easily at the box office at about 12 pm and the transfer and payment was super smooth. The only real issue we ran into was the disorganization of lines trying to enter. There was a sign up pointing to where the GA floor was supposed to line up but not the seated tickets. There was no designated line for merch so the one that was formed ended up merging with concert goers trying to get in. It was a very confusing process but a staffer ended up getting things under control. I was in the Dell Technology lounge area for this day and honestly was pleasantly surprised with how organized and clean it was. I got the buffalo chicken loaded fries there at the burger stand they had and it was alright- nothing special but to be expected for concert food that's being pumped out in the matter of seconds. Overall : 8/10 experience for day 2 I'm still giving Moody a 5 star because honestly, compared to other places you can't beat the prices. In February at the Toyota Pavilion in Irving, I paid $20 for a Michelob Ultra, whereas the Moody center has them for $13.25. That's a pretty nice gauge on what the prices look like in comparison throughout.

The seats are very comfortable . It doesn't matter how high up you are seated. The food and drinks are kind of expensive.

I came here for the Billie Eilish concert. It was my first time at this venue and it was great: + spacious and bright + well laid out + clean bathrooms with no line + lots of food options + merch line was busy but not chaotic + great views from seat + big screens with close ups Wish the sound mix had more of Billie's voice but that might be more on her production team than on the venue. UT Austin students are very lucky to have such a nice venue on campus!

I came back to the Moody Center for yet another concert. This time around, I came to see Jason Aldean. However, this is the first time in a long while that I did not have floor seats or seats that were not in the mezzanine. I had seats on the balcony level. As I had these 'nose bleed' seats, I discovered that these seats, unlike those on the floor, are closer together and because of the tight space, it is compulsory to stand for each person that requires exciting  of a row for any reason regardless of where you are seated. Aside from the tight space, for those with poor or limited vision, these seats are less than ideal. However, the acoustics at that level are not terrible. It is easy to hear the artists as well as the band that accompanies them. Aside from the tight seating, the same amount of vendors located on the balcony level can be found on the ground floor. The main difference that concert and/or entertainment seekers will find is that upper levels will not have merchandise tables. Regardless of where you sit, if you get to the venue early enough you can find free parking right outside of U.T. Bass Concert Hall. If you get to an event later, parking will be limited or non-exsistent which require patrons to Uber/ Lfyt to the venue or to take a bicycle cab.

This arena is nice for concerts. Not too big. I was sitting in the 200 section and had a fantastic view still. Went to the benson boone concert last. It was a blast! sound was great, visuals were good. staff were nice. crowd was respectful. got to sit throughout the entire show and enjoy the view. bought a seltzer at one of the grab and go sections. very easy to use. they did ask for a tip, but i did not tip because nobody helped with anything. the seltzer was expensive, but to be expected with these types of events. did not get any food items since i had dinner right before parking is located a few blocks away. ubered instead and it was fine.

Our suite for the Monster Jam event
    LaToya S.

I think I liked the old Moody Center better. Maybe because I feel like the monster Jam show my family and I just attended wasn't the same. The suites are kind of open and other patrons can throw popcorn into your suite from theirs. The suites are much smaller here and they don't have private restrooms like the old center had. I'm still not completely sold on this one. The food is way overpriced and the toys purchased from oriental trading is overpriced but I understand that comes with events being held here. Probably our last Monster Jam event here but will consider coming back for an adult event.

    Look way up there: Nosebleed!

Austin, Tx. I like that the Moody brings in popular acts, they really have the room for all the fans. I found the concert to be great, thank you Billy Strings! Like all large arenas I've been to, there are always some problems. Upon arriving early , there was zero communication about which door to enter. I found one line queued up and was going to stand in it only to find out it was just a merch line, go in, purchase your stuff, then get out. We then found another line, but these folks were the "First 100" and had been there since the early morning. They all had wrist bands. I bet number 101 was pretty bummed out! They got to go in early and they're all in the mosh pit. I didn't know about said mosh pit, otherwise known as "General Admission". For the Eagles concert a while back, if you had Row2 center, you were right up to the stage. This time, Row2 center just means you have a place to sit. The entire mosh pit of several hundred people is standing right in front of you! This was a bit of deception on the part of Moody Center, are ticket holders for floor seats supposed to research this and figure it out somehow? The seating chart does not show this. For some reason if the doors open at 6:00, as posted, it really means 6:30. At 6:30 the security people are just ambling around looking like maybe they should do something. At 6:45 they started letting people in. Once inside we knew not how to get to the floor seats. Finally we found a knowledgeable guy who walked us over to the correct stair case. I could find no drinking fountain to fill my empty water bottle. Non of the ushers knew. I had to purchase a small bottle for $8.00. But once we were on the floor I walked over to a very convenient restroom and found a drinking fountain. I then walked over to this lady who for some reason was guarding the entrance to some kind of pastry shop. I asked if I could purchase a cup of coffee. The answer was "No, there is no hot coffee, you have to purchase a cold brew, in a can". So I went to the beverage guy but all the cold brews were straight black or Mexican Vanilla. I tried the M.V. It was horribly sweet. After the show, we were all slowly herded up three flights of stairs to the upper level where there are a few exits. In an emergency situation, this lack of exits is going to cause great harm. I'm 80 years old, and I made it up those stairs, but slowly. No way if I was rushed. We walked back to our hotel which was nearby. We were walking with a large group who parked downtown. I'm not sure where most people park, but you better research it. It looked like campus parking garages were closed to the public. The people on the trikes were really hustling. I'm not sure how much they charge, but it is an alternative to walking. The sound on the floor was good. Very loud, but good. The rotating spotlights in the audiences eyes was really an annoyance. The cheap seats are waaay up there! I heard also about echos up there. You will definitely need binos if you opt for those seats. Look at the photos posted before you commit.

    Yay!

I came her for a UT Women's basketball game. The Moody Center functioned really well for this event. First of all, everything is clearly marked to help you find your seats. Next, the video screens helped show the action for people seating in the higher seats. The score was posted clearly in more than one place for easy reference. The concourse had many different food options; however, we did not check any of them out. Like others have noted, parking wasn't really convenient. We walked quite a distance to get there. But it was a nice day, and a daytime event, so it didn't bother us.

Christina also confirmed this in her review, you HAVE to use one of MOYA's vendors. So sorry, Christina, for your horrible experience at Springdale Station, and for getting ripped off. We ALSO definitely do NOT recommend Springdale Station! Honest review for those considering this as a venue: The indoor space is very SMALL. It is not a good location for a large amount of guests. You will find three rooms inside (one with some stairs that are required to access it). The foyer serves as one of these rooms, so once you make it through the line to get inside, you are inside one of the three small rooms! The event we attended was very crowded and everyone was bumping into each other. Again, in OUR experience, this is NOT a good venue for a large group of people. The outside has a very small patio, with a LARGE amount of dirt. Definitely not a good location for anything even slightly dressy. Something casual, cowboy-like, perhaps a kids' casual party...those might work. The dirt area is large. (And VERY dirty!) We came home with dirt up to our calves. Gross! Keep this in mind, and check this out thoroughly before signing any contract with Moya. Buyer beware!!! Outside seating on the small patio was extremely limited. Literally only ONE sofa. Moya needs to addressed this. Would be nice if guests could actually sit down. Ridiculously inhospitable! We have attended several events in Austin, this one is only suitable for a super casual OUTDOOR event. (And hopefully it is priced accordingly...). Again, please prepare to get dirty if the weather is dry, and if it rains you will have muddy shoes. If you wear any type of heel, you will sink into their wet mud. Again, this is another item that Moya still needs to address. (Hello? GREATLY enlarge that tiny patio!). Good grief. Last issue - parking. Many other reviewers have also mentioned this. The parking lot was large, but it was (is) shared by other businesses so finding an actual parking spot was very difficult. Highly recommend if you have to go to Springdale Station that you use a taxi, (etc.) to get there and back. Again, research thoroughly before committing. There are so many other decent venues in Austin, we don't know why anyone would pick this one!

The venue itself has a lively, open feel with an urban backyard vibe and plenty of space to move around, mingle, and actually take in the installation without feeling crowded. What stood out most was how well the space complemented the event. The layout made it easy to engage with the installation while still enjoying the social vibe. They had space for working virtually as well as displays to test some of the technology. There's a nice balance between indoor comfort and that signature rooftop-style setting, which gives it a relaxed but elevated feel. The staff was friendly and kept things running smoothly, and the overall setup felt thoughtfully organized. Whether you were there to focus on the installation or just take it in casually, the environment supported both. The line was somewhat long to get into the event as it was at capacity and could only allow more people as people were leaving the event. I was given a drink ticket and got to try the Patio Pounder with ilegal mezcal, primo aperitivo, tropical citrus, coconut, grapefruit soda. The bartender was efficient even though the lines were long. The cocktail was enjoyable with the balance of smoky and citrus flavors. They also had a variety of food bites available including chips and queso. creamy street corn, and sliders. The food was gone relatively quickly due to the crowds but it would be replenished periodically. Overall, Upstairs at Caroline proved to be a solid venue for a creative SXSW event versatile, welcoming, and very on-brand for Austin's arts and tech scene.

We actually found it pretty last minute and decided to go early since we knew we'd be taking photos and didn't want to deal with crowds. When we arrived, it was pretty quiet, which honestly worked out perfectly for us. The décor is bold and eclectic in the best way, think velvet booths, curated gallery walls, low lighting, and these amazing feathered chandeliers that tie the whole space together. We ordered the Tiger Lilly cocktail and the Elote, both were fantastic. The drinks are not only pretty but good, which isn't always a given in places that are more vibe-forward. Ours were balanced, flavorful, and well-presented. The DJ was there, early, which was a nice surprise, it gave the whole place some life without being overwhelming. The staff was super kind, especially the manager who came by to check in and even gave us a little background on the space. We appreciated how welcoming everyone was. We heard that the night before had been packed, so it sounds like this place definitely fills up later at night. We're looking forward to coming back when it's livelier to get the full experience, but for a chill early visit focused on ambiance, great service, and creative drinks, it absolutely hit the mark. Pro tip: If you're someone who loves a visually aesthetic experience and wants a place to snap a few pics before the rush, go early like we did. Can't wait to return!

There was also seating for probably 35 people inside and a massive private rooftop deck with plenty of seating and ambient lighting. Perfection! Working with Brent from start to end was so easy that I thought I had to be missing something. Turns out I was not missing anything; he just never over complicated it! Thank you, Brent! We were allowed access all day but because the aesthetic of the place was perfect for our theme, we didn't need it until about 2 hours before go time. There's a full kitchen and an ice machine so that added to the ease. You can provide your own food and booze, hire a caterer, or utilize the offerings at Sholz Garten (attached). I had a friend do my food, brought my own booze, and hired the other bowling alley operator to bartend (he is TABC certified). In addition to the bartender, I also had to pay for a bowling alley operator (Brent), which makes a lot of sense. The machines are relics and need some professional tending to. That being said, we had zero hold ups to our throwing rocks! We even got a little tour of how these ancient machines work :) Upon the completion of my party, both the bartender and operator hopped to helping us clean. They handled trash and basically all cleaning. We just had to get our stuff out of there. So easy! I'm now searching for another reason to host something here. It's affordable, centrally located, unique, and EASY! Thanks Saengerrunde and Brent!

Oh my goodness, where do I even begin?…read more Reagan, the coordinator for this venue, rocks! I sent Reagan an email last year when I started looking at Austin venues to get married at. Lots of places where people could gather, be merry and have fun! This isn't really your typical wedding venue, but with so much history behind the place and many renovation projects undertaken, it's so charming that I can see why others have used this space!! I sent Reagan the date I wanted, she mentioned the Halle would be $2000 for Fridays and Saturdays. We wanted a Saturday so we paid for only that day. Reagan sent over the contract, we placed a credit card on file as our deposit to secure the date and all was swell!!! The week before our wedding event was to take place, we met up, handed Reagan the check, she went over details as to how to access the venue, was so chill that even though we did not have the space rented Friday, that we could have our stuff there to decorate the day before. I cannot tell you how many Austin venues I had to reach out to that were so pricy and had so many things adding up and it was just so refreshing to have her help us through this. We spent Friday decorating the hall, so many Christmas lights hung. I remember asking Reagan if we needed to bring our own command hooks but she was like we're totally covered on that. If you rent the Halle and also want to use Christmas lights, I'll let you know that she's totally serious. We didn't need a single hook that wasn't already in there. Hidden outlets everywhere everything was already good to go and in place. We had some ladders behind the stage that a maintenance guy fixing the bowling alley spilled the beans was hiding behind there as we brought our own ladder but it wasn't high enough for some of the ceiling areas. As a bride, I got ready behind the Halle Area and in the bowling alley. Even though we didn't pay for that area, Reagan, totally helped out in letting us get ready behind there to help make everything easier for things to come together so we could make our grand entrance through to walk to the stage through those doors. If you're choosing to use this venue, I can't highly recommend Reagan as she's also a mini event planner who's seen lots and can give tips, especially if you use the catering crew as Scholz Garten next door who knows the Halle just as well and makes your life a whole lot easier! We decorated, took the trash out, and left everything as we found it and it was all so easy! A bride on a budget, with friends and family to help set up and take down for a fun day together and we were all good to go! I highly recommend working with Reagan in using this wonderful Halle, so much history, beauty and Austiny enough! Love!! PS. You can BYOB! We had tons of alcohol at our wedding to make sure we'd have an open bar without breaking the bank partying and you do not need a TABC bartender to serve but we had one so we had someone professional making those fun drinks. No open flames, real candles, things that can burn the place down. For good reason, this place is old and we wanna keep it alive. We had sparklers we lit outside on the sidewalk and did our send-off, gorgeous and quiet on 4th of July evening. Perfection.
