The staff throughout the arena were also incredibly helpful and friendly, which definitely added to the experience. That said, there are a couple downsides worth mentioning. The floor seating is VERY close together, so it can feel cramped once everyone is settled in. Also, the concession prices were honestly outrageous -- one pretzel and a drink came out to almost $40, which felt excessive even for a concert venue. Still, George Strait put on an amazing show and the energy in the arena was unforgettable. If you're going for a big concert, it's definitely a great venue -- just be prepared for tight seating and expensive snacks.

The seats are a bit tight here so eat a salad before you come. And drinks start at $17 for a beer and more for cocktails (you can get a margarita for $26). So leave your credit cards at home and you won't get tempted. Buying drinks here is insane in the membrane. But they do have a few restaurants with nice vibes. See you back there in a couple weeks for Demi Lovato!! Maybe you'll get another review.

The energy is always lively in the building. I will warn people. Be aware of the weather and the time of the day of the game. My friends and I enjoyed the game. But we went to a noon game on a day that it was over 90 degrees. Even with hats, we couldn't last the whole game and had to leave early. If you go during a hot day, I'd recommend buying covered seating if possible. If you can, I'd also suggest trying to go to a night game. Night games are way better. Regardless, the stadium is amazing and the team has been phenomenal. Since moving to Austin, I go to games all the time with my wife and friends.

I don't know how pricing is determined. You can find self serve stadium stores for water, drinks, and snacks. They also have free water filling stations so you don't have to break the bank ordering water, but these can be hard to find when hundred of thousands of people are around. They also offer many food options from Pluckers, Tony C's, SmokeyMo's, Stubbs, HTeaO, Amy's, and so much more. I have sat in the bleachers and also in the bench seating and all seats have a great view of the floor. The venue is very intimate and had a loud, close-up atmosphere so you fell immersed in the game. This location is also a meeting hub for local clubs and activities. Met up here for the Longhorn runs and packet pick-up. Access to the gym facility is restricted to current UT students and individuals with a current RecSports membership or Day Pass. Food and beverage prices are reasonable and happy hour prices prior to the national anthem being played unless you buy a Longhorn yeti cup, then you pay the premium. The bad(ish): Parking. In all seriousness, doing online research via Westlaw or Lexis Nexus can be difficult unless you know "key" terms. Sometimes, key terms are hit or miss. For me, going to the Law Library is the best form of research. They have so many resources and law books that it is crazy that more people don't take adavantage of it. The cost for a library card is about $60 a year if you aren't a student or if you haven't had a City of Austin library card for the past 2 months. Anyhow you figure it, it is the best $60 you will ever spend if you work for a law office. I didn't go to law school here, but this library sure makes me wish I had.

4.25 stars. The University of Texas School of Law is one of the preeminent law schools in the…read morecountry, and I am very fortunate to have earned one of my degrees here. Yet, as much as I love the school, I cannot say that it is absolutely perfect. I think it is important to highlight all aspects of the experience. First and foremost, it should be mentioned from the outset that this law school is going to be the best bargain for your money. I was an out-of-state student, and I guarantee you it was significantly cheaper than other schools ranked in the top 15. The quality of education is stellar (I have taken classes at other law schools ranked in the top 20, and I can assure you that while those instructors were very good, the UT instructors were better), and you will find that many of your professors have been prominently involved in the major legal battles of the past half-century. The library, I believe, is the largest law library in the entire country, and the staff is professional and efficient. If you want to be in debt for the next three decades, by all means, go to Penn, Harvard, or Yale. If that isn't how you plan on spending your money after graduation, I would suggest the University of Texas. Next, the law school does an outstanding job building a creative and diverse group of students. I certainly took this for granted while I attended school, but I have re-connected with many of my classmates, and I have almost always walked away thoroughly impressed not only by their exceptional minds, but also by their genuine care for the societal impacts of their craft. I do think most lawyers get a bad reputation from a few bad apples, but the law school here does an almost perfect job of sorting through all of them. Thus, if going to school with people you plan on knowing for the rest of your life is important to you, you should strongly consider UT. The career services office could use some work. It was strongly tailored to the top 1/3 of our class, and I think that when you attend a top law school, it should not be a struggle to find a job post-graduation. Do not believe the US News and World Report average lawyer earnings for UT or any other law school for that matter. They are a complete sham. My class probably made an average of 75K their first year out of law school; I think US News and World Report had our average salaries exceeding 125K. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here. It allowed me to temporarily find comfort in the legal world (albeit in an almost now completely defunct practice area), and I was able to make lifelong connections that have influenced my career in a positive manner. For any student who is applying for law school because they want to leave an indelible mark on the legal profession, I would certainly suggest my alma mater as a proper choice for achieving their objectives.
