I've been lucky enough to work with Danielle in two ways: professionally for my non-profit org work and personally for my daughter's senior pictures. Danielle is a top-notch photographer. Great eye, great personality. Very easy to work with and her photos ALWAYS turn out great. I wish I had known about her sooner but will book her from now on for all my photo needs!

We booked with From the Hip for both our maternity and newborn photos and are very happy we did! Lauren is very professional and responsive during the planning phase and Julia did a wonderful job on our photos. They were both very kind and flexible when we had to reschedule day of due to unexpected scheduling issues on our end. Then the day of, we had to change locations at the last minute due to weather but Julia came up with a perfect back up plan and we are thrilled with how the photos turned out. I would highly recommend this team and look forward to capturing our baby girl with them in a few more weeks! Thank you!

They're new spot is amazing!! So much space!!

I loved working with From the Hip, and Danielle, for the Boudoir shoot. The new location/house they have, has all kinds of different background options, is really open, and they will make you feel right at home. Danielle was funny, professional and super sweet. In these crazy times, they do wear masks while shooting. They have drinks to help take the edge off too, if you are a bit nervous. The process for selecting the photos for the book was easy and straight forward and the final product was definitely a hit! Great people, great team, great photos!

I've hired From the Hip Photo twice for branding photos for my website, book, and training institute. As someone who freezes in front of the camera, I am so eternally grateful to the level of professionalism and artistic creativity that I've experienced from their photographers. It's worth the investment in your business to be in such good hands. I highly recommend over and over again.

We had a great experience with our senior photos. We were shown previous portraits and given location options. The pricing is great, especially since we wanted digital copies and rights. The photographer made my son feel comfortable and we had so many great shots to choose from. We had a short time frame and they got us a small batch very quick and then everything, all before deadline. A great experience, I highly recommend!

My group used this lovely photography stand to take a cool 3D photo and it 100% came out bloody good. I was afraid it was going to be too blurry, or too bright. Or too exposure of our flaws-- Jk. However, upon seeing the final result of the photo, my friend and I were jumping with joy!!!!! They even have this cool photo stick thing (looks like a purple light saver) and runs it all around us. Pretty unique??? The photos unfortunately are going to take a week, but when they're delivered, you'll see the magic when I post it on here. Their stickers are so cute and they also have some of the coolest mascot ever!! It's like an orange wolf or fox? Don't know lol. Still am in love.

She was terrible at giving directions (just turn, turn the other way, no the other way, move your hand, etc - entirely unclear) and would get mad at us when we didn't guess correctly what she meant. When we didn't pose the way she wanted, she would make sarcastic and snippy comments that made us all SO uncomfortable and made the whole shoot so awkward. And then she'd bark at you to smile! We did not get one single photo that we will ever use. I am so very sad and mad, not only that we wasted $500 but that we can't go back and get photos that we can actually use of my baby at this age again. We can never get that back. I would highly encourage you to think twice before hiring Christina if you have a baby - she absolutely does NOT know how to shoot babies. Or family groups. If you have any thoughts or opinions of your own whatsoever about what you want, she will not listen to you. When I told her what shots I wanted (which we had discussed over the phone and in email prior to the shoot) she yelled at me that she's the professional and basically I needed to shut up and do it her way because I don't know anything. I left the shoot in tears. It was truly awful. And surprise surprise, I've never seen less flattering photos of myself or my family in my entire life. There is literally not one single photo where you can see everyone's face and everyone has their eyes open! I truly believe she started taking bad photos intentionally after I didn't want to do one of her poses because even a non-professional photographer could capture at least one or two that were ok. Think twice before hiring her.

The photos came out 100x better than we ever could have hoped for and she returned them to us remarkably fast! It was a pleasure to work with such a friendly & talented photographer and I would recommend her to anyone!

When it's time for your portrait sitting, they lock the shop door, so it's ONLY your time and you get full attention and privacy so that there are no onlookers gawking. It's a fairly large studio with beautiful back drops, authentic antiques, accessories and a huge selection of vintage clothing, shoes, hats, gloves, suits etc and they're clean and well cared for. There's an actual dressing room! Milda, who is the owner, photographer and overall artistic genius, (with an adorable European accent) makes sure you look just right for the portrait. She takes her time to make sure every last detail is perfect. We were tired of the boring saloon hall photos you see everywhere, so we opted for a more refined Victorian tea look. Milda gave us the exact style photos we wanted and I couldn't be more pleased with them. I now have a special and unique keepsake of me and my mother! Together, with her husband and co-owner, they share so much about the history of Central City and make the entire experience authentic. Now for the photos. AMAZING!! The prices were very reasonable, so much so, that I bought a copy of every shot. I would highly recommend checking out the gallery of photos on her website so that you can see the quality of these vintage style portraits. I will definitely be coming back to this place, I loved it!

This is exactly what a great event photographer should do. You didn't come to this review for 'event photographer' theory though did you? You came because life is good. Life is so good you want someone to photograph it, to memorialize it for the rest of time so you can always remember how good it was. But your good life is not just you and your best friends smiling your camera smiles in some stock pose. The photographer we hired from Selah, Jackie, gets well beyond that stuff and manages to capture some essence of what's important, unique, and timeless in the situation. So why listen to me? Because I hired a different company to take my photos the first time and was disappointed with the results. This gives me a standard of comparison (which is more than most people get.) Engaging Selah to take new ones after the fact was a great decision. I'd give 6 stars if I could.
