I had been thinking about a boudoir shoot for a while, and looking at different photographers without feeling much of a connection - this is WAY out of my comfort zone, so knew that it had to be a perfect fit or I would just be fine not doing it at all. When I found Frances, I knew she was the only one I could see myself trusting enough to actually go for it. She was absolutely incredible throughout the entire process. We video-chatted beforehand to get a sense of how things would go, she had a great makeup/hair artist who made me feel very glamorous and looking my best before everything started, and there was some bubbly to boot! I brought a lot of options since I am a) indecisive and b) had no idea how comfortable I would feel, and had so much fun with Frances helping me to choose and guide through a progression of outfits. I felt almost instantly comfortable with her, and she gave fantastic guidance throughout the whole process. Honestly, it wound up being the most fun I have had in a while, and very empowering. The photos are amazing. I have no idea how she managed to capture such a range of fun and sexiness, while making it feel like me throughout. I wasn't sure what to expect from this experience, but I am so glad I trusted Frances.

She was also the preferred photographer of our wedding planner at Table 6. I know too many people who had a bad photographer and it ruined the day and the memories so I the photographer was one of the most important vendors for us. Frances and Jen were so amazing the day of our wedding and were able to move the photos along so that we stayed on time yet got all the pics we wanted. We were so excited when we got our photos back and saw how much of they day they were able to capture. I love how they got the formal photos, but also the informal ones where everyone's personality really shines through. They are the best wedding photos I've ever seen...everyone has said the same thing. They captured the true love and emotion of the day. They also got pics of all our guests and the details of the day which was great since the day was a whirlwind and I didn't have time to really take in the small details. I highly recommend booking Frances so you can continue to relive the most amazing day of your life over and over!

I purchased a Groupon for Dream In Blue Photography as research to find the best Denver boudoir…read moreexperiences for my clients. Personally, I have never had a male boudoir photographer and decided to give Mark a try. I recently had surgery and this was my first boudoir shoot after recovery, so this was a special occasion! Booking and completing the online consultation was easy. I had the advantage of already being familiar with boudoir, but for anyone who is hesitant to try for whatever reason, the virtual consult is sure to put your nerves at ease. My first impression of Mark was that he is very professional and respectful. You can tell that his mission is clear and he wants his clients to have full control over what they want out of boudoir. Everything was explained clearly and I was left with zero questions. On the date of the shoot, I was able to find Mark's studio with ease. There is ample parking as it is in a neighborhood, and the unit itself is located in a gated condo community. He came down to greet me. Upon entering the unit, I was greeted by his makeup artist and she got straight to work while Mark went upstairs to give us privacy. Both Mark and the artist made me feel very comfortable and, bonus points -gave me deejay power. The makeup artist was very flexible and didn't ask a slew of questions when I told her that I didn't have any expectations. I don't own a lot of makeup and wearing it is even more rare, so it was a nice change of pace to have someone truly use my face as a canvas. I am super pleased with the results and was able to wear it to dinner that same night! As for the shoot itself, Mark conveyed his instructions well while considering what I wanted from the shoot. At no point did I feel uncomfortable, unsafe, or insecure. He encouraged taking my time and didn't force me to do anything that I didn't want to do or was physically incapable of doing because holy cow -boudoir is a workout. Anyway, it took a little while for photo editing but it was worth the wait! An additional appointment was required for the reveal, and it was very challenging to pick my favorites since Mark did an amazing job. As for payment, Mark was super patient and understanding with me despite a few financual curveballs. Once paid in full, I received my boudoir photos, elegantly displayed in a photo album. The extra goodies (chocolate and a yeti cup) lends a luxurious feel, all packaged in a gift bag. Everything was so well done! I am pleased to report that the entire process from start to finish was effortless, and I highly recommend Dream In Blue Photography!

DeBoudoir was a fun and exciting outing for me. I love my photos and had a wonderful time with the…read morephotographer I worked with. The reason for my low rating is the cost. I purchased a living social coupon of $15 for the sitting fee and at no time did I receive information prior to the session that the photography itself was going to end up costing an arm and a leg. After already taking the photos, I received the price list, $99 for 1 print or 1 digital photo (of the 100-150 that were shot) or a photo book starting at $400. All my photos were edited digitally, and colored at the preference of the studio and I had to pay extra to have the colors changed back to what they were originally shot in. It is outrageous to me that I had to pay to have a filter removed from a photo when I did not request that it be used in the first place. If a company is offering this type of deal (living social, groupon, and I know they advertise free sessions in wedding magazines) it should be disclosed at the time of the setting what the prints are going to cost. Tugging on a woman's emotions by taking the photos, showing the prints and then giving a HUGE price tag when she is most likely already making emotional financial decisions (because many of the women doing these shoots are brides) feels like a shady business practice to me. I do appreciate that deboudoir offered a payment plan option, because without it i would have never been able to purchase any of my photos.
