Deboudoir was hands down one of the most amazing photographic experiences of my life! I decided that it was time to document my beauty and went to the professionals to do so. I had a groupon that had expired over a year prior to my contacting Deboudoir, and they honored it without hesitation! Valerie with Deboudoir contacted me as soon as I emailed the general address; I explained my situation, and she graciously made an appointment for me. I knew this was going to be amazing! I made sure to schedule a mani-pedi, got myself another groupon Microderm appointment a few days ahead, and dropped by my favorite tanning salon about a week prior to the shoot. The day of I felt amazing, rested, and ready to flex my stuff! I was running late as I had a hair appointment the day of as well, and they still fit me in! I was 30 minutes late, and even though this is not common, they squeezed me in and honored my appointment regardless of my tardiness, never making me feel bad about it. Upon entering the gorgeous "palace" (more like an enchanted fortress or castle you read about in fairytales) I was greeted with a big glass of red wine, and a comfortable couch to rest in and just center after my long day of pampering and preparation. Deboudoir offers makeup and hair packages as well, but I chose to go with my own people. I had a chance to wind down, and the admin came over with a great, bubbly, positive attitude and asked if I needed help picking out corsettes, or anything else! The selection absolutely astounded me! I was reminded of my time in Paris where only the best lingerie is accessible- there were ruffly boy-short panties, beautiful corsets, plenty of stockings, and gorgeous other litty play things sure to make a shoot magnificent. I came prepared and have a pretty good idea of what flatters my body type, so I opted out of any purchases, but I'll be sure to go back once I'm ready for my very first Mary Antoinette corsette! Once it was time for the shoot to begin, I met my new best friend Susan. She led me upstairs to the photo rooms- one was set up for a darker, more shadowy experience, and the other a bit well lit and yielded my shinier, daytime images. Susan is a seasoned photographer who understands lighting, blocking, and tactics to put the subject at ease. The wine was working wonders, but Susan will literally let you know how to angle your head to make the best shoot, or if you feel comfortable enough she will let you model freestyle. She was funny, relaxed me immediately, and worked with me with regards to my lingerie outfits and ideas. She even fixed my hair when my bobby-pins began to loosen up! Susan understands her craft and creates miracles on a daily basis. When it was time to return to pick out which photos I wanted, I simply couldn't choose- I needed the whole set! They graciously put me on a payment plan that worked for both parties and I am currently paying them off in anticipation of receiving my full set. Valerie, the store manager worked with me regarding which photos to choose (even though I chose the whole set in the end!) and was extremely warm, friendly, and helped me with the payment plan. Valerie made me feel like I was a family member in her home and complimented my photos and made me feel so special. Everything about Deboudoir is top-notch and exceptional. If you have a need for pin-up girl, nude, or any images of that nature, Deboudoir is your answer. I've always envied the way that boudoir photos captured the artistic beauty that women of any shape and size can admire and be proud of....and I found that experience to be above and beyond at my own shoot with deBoudoir Photography! I first found out about this awesome boutique through a LivingSocial site, and at first I was hesistant...(let's just say I'm not the size 0 supermodel type) but I was determined to see myself in a light that captured my every confidence. When I arrived the day of my shoot I was immediately put at ease, the building is private and classy and the environment just evoked a relaxed feeling. I was introduced to my hair and makeup and photographer. Raquel made me look absolutely beautiful from head to toe and maximized my features with fabulous makeup so I could see myself "model" ready. I was immediately more confident about myself. I headed upstairs to meet with my photographer (Susan) and was so warmly welcomed by her -- honestly, she's probably one of the most amazing people i've met -- she just has this vibe....this hard to describe, intangible quality to her that makes you feel AMAZING! We looked over the selection of outfits I'd come with to decide what worked best - outfits, shoes, jewelry, accessories -- you definitely need a helping hand to decide what all goes together and what will give you the best shots - and trust me, Susan and the rest of the team are more than willing!!! It's great!! Once we'd selected outfits and I prepared and changed into the first of 4 outfits we were ready to shoot! I did my best to look "natural" in the shots amid my nerves - and Susan couldn't have been better at telling me how to look, where to look, how to sit, ect...so I never ever EVER felt uncomfortable or stupid or self conscious in the slightest!! The whole experience was over before I knew it....and by the time I left the studio I felt as if I'd spent the afternoon in the company of good girlfriends just giggling and chatting and having fun!! I was just smiling from ear to ear by the time I left. I wouldn't have changed a thing...I certainly wasn't expecting it to be so FUN! Today in fact -- I came back to the studio to view my photos with Val. -- Seriously, cute as a button with a personality to match! She helped me go through all my 134 shots and narrow them down to the best gallery for me that really showcased my beauty. I honestly thought I might cringe at some of the images...my mind was racing...but again, everything was just so tastefully done -- nothing was awkward or out of place or unsightly....and Val was there to just give her honest opinion to show the most diversity in my own personal gallery. She was awesome, even giving out her personal cell number to make sure I could reach her beforehand with any questions or scheduling problems. I was truly astounded at the professionalism and really the integrity of the studio and everyone in it and each of the staff being so personable. I started my adventure when I purchased a boudoir photo session via LivingSocial. Even though I knew what my end purpose was - a surprise anniversary gift for my hubby - I was extremely nervous. I finally worked up the courage to book my shoot. I was still nervous on the day of the shoot and not feeling so great about myself since my face had broken out and I'd gained 5 pounds due to being furloughed (and spending my time baking and day drinking). But I had no reason to be nervous or feeling bad about myself. Upon arrival I was offered a glass of wine and then showered with compliments...which also continued throughout my visit. I opted to do my own make-up, but when my fake eye lashes started to come off Melissa happily helped me reapply. I'm awful at doing hair, so I had her do it for me and the results were amazing. I brought my own outfits but I did opt to purchase a corset since I had a $50 credit with my LivingSocial deal and because I feel like every girls should own a corset. The staff helped me decide which outfits went best with my shoes and in which order I should wear them. Susan, the photographer, immediately put me at ease. I had a little trouble with following direction (and I now have a new found appreciation for models) but she handled it well and just kept things moving when something didn't seem to be working right. I wasn't sure what to expect when I returned to view my pictures, but I was pleasantly shocked. I hardly recognized myself! Kelli did an excellent job helping me narrow down my pictures, which was quite a feat. My only criticism is that everything was quite expensive. I didn't realize until I had gotten a call confirming my appointment when I was told to view the pricing options before my sitting. This was my own fault, hence why I did deduct any stars, since the pricing was apparent on their website and it was my own fault for not looking at them. After experiencing the whole process I do think it was still pricey, but there was a lot of time, effort and expertise put into the photography and editing that I understand the pricing better and was willing to spend more than I thought, especially after the ego boost I received from all three fabulous ladies. read more

I've always wanted to do a boudoir photo session- for myself and also my husband. I did my research and realized de Boudoir in Denver was definitely the best studio in the Denver area for this sort of thing. My e-mail and phone correspondences before the shoot were easy and made me even more excited for the shoot. The studio is absolutely beautiful- in a gorgeous, old historical landmark mansion near a cool view of the Denver skyline. Inside it is like a women's haven- beautiful fabrics and artwork throughout the house, overstuffed luxurious furniture, feminine touches, huge photos, all with a cool, sophisticated and feminine color and style. I was very very warmly greeted by two lovely women who made me feel completely at ease. I was offered wine, tea, coffee, or water. I had my hair done in sexy beach curls. My photographer was absolutely incredible. I have worked with several photographers for profile, couple, wedding, baby and family portraits, and I know the photographer I had at de Boudoir was a master, professional artist. The session was SO. MUCH. FUN. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience, and after the shoot, I just had to give my photographer a huge hug and thank her for one of the most FUN days of my life that I will ALWAYS remember! I felt like we had known each other for years. She was a blast, made me feel so comfortable, and especially made me feel uber confident. That confidence came through in the photos. My photos were gorgeous, artsy, professional- I honestly looked like a model in a magazine and hardly recognized myself! My husband absolutely loved the anniversary gift I gave him and I have this boudoir photo book to look back on when I'm 80 years old and say, "wow, I was a bombshell!" Haha! I highly, highly recommend any woman do this for herself- and go to de Boudoir- they will give you an outstanding product. No matter how you feel about your body (all of us women have insecurities)- this experience of the shoot, and photos as mementos of your shoot- will give you a new confidence and empowerment. I find myself doing household chores in silk slips now and wearing high heels more :) It's good to be a girl! read more

My experience at DeBoudoir was overall pretty excellent! I purchased a Living Social package to DeBoudoir as I had been looking for boudoir photographer/studio, as I intend to give the images to my fiance the night before our wedding. When I arrived at the studio, I fell in love with the venue and the atmosphere - it's in a neat old Victorian house, and from the staff, to the glass of wine, to the comfortable surroundings, I was instantly at ease, despite the few flutters in my stomach about the whole idea! Melissa did my make up suburbly and then I was whisked upstairs with Susan, my photographer, who is a true Boudoir pro! Her reassurance, guidance and direction throughout the shoot was second to none - I felt very comfortable with her despite being rather scantly clad! We even went over the allotted 1 hour session at no additional charge to me - very accommodating! We finished the shoot, and I was happily surprised to be given a follow up appointment just 2 days after the shoot itself! Now, I've just returned from the consultation, and I was thrilled with how the photos turned out! They truly flattered and accentuated my curves while "avoiding" my "trouble spots." They will make an outstanding wedding gift - sensual, sexy, sweet and beautiful! I rated them a 4/5 instead of a 5/5, for two reasons: 1) I had read the Living Social to be inclusive of either hair OR makeup - I came with my hair fully curled already, ready for makeup, and learned that the Living Social only included hair, and that makeup was extra (about $90 extra, including fake eyelashes). Not a big deal, but I was confused, so others may be as well. 2) At the end of my final consultation, where I was reviewing the photos, I felt slightly rushed. There was another girl waiting for her appointment, and it felt just marginally hurried at the end. Not a big deal, though. All in all, I would (and have) recommended deBoudoir to all of my friends and family. I think every woman should have boudoir photos taken, for her own purposes, if not for her man's! I was given the boudoir photo shoot as a gift from my sister. I have to admit, I am very body conscious and very hard on myself. I've never been photogenic and avoid cameras. But, given I just turned 40 and my 14-year wedding anniversary is coming up, I decided to get out of my box. My sister and I were able to do back-to-back appointments, which we really appreciated. It helped to ease the fears going into it. Leading up to the appointment, I was worried about everything - makeup, hair, outfits, etc. But, when we got to the studio (which is a lovely Victorian home), Melissa immediately made me feel comfortable and welcome. She started with "...oh, your eyes are going to be beautiful." My sister and I were treated like royalty. We were given 'liquid courage' and got started with makeup and hair, which Melissa did a great job with. She taught me a few things about making my eyes pop, and now has me curling my hair the way she did as well. She helped me find something that had been lost for awhile. While my sister was upstairs doing her shoot, I explored the lingerie - corsets, thigh highs, ruffled panties, babydolls, etc. Nice quality and a lot to choose from in several different sizes. When it was my turn, Susan was awesome!! She is a true artist!! She looks at all of the outfits you have brought, jewelry, shoes, etc. to get a feel for how she wants to shoot the session. She paid so much attention to my comfort level, but pushed me to do new things while increasing my confidence one step at a time. It was a long, fun evening with all of the focus on me! What a great experience! I knew going into my shoot that the prices weren't cheap - but, this was an investment in me. This gave me a spunk back, this gave me a confidence going into my 40s. When I saw the pictures, I was really excited about the results. They looked and felt like me, and you could tell that as they progressed, I was more and more comfortable in the shots. Thank you! I'd thought of having boudoir photographs taken for some time, and I am so glad I did it here. The whole staff (all women) were so friendly and nice, and they all made me look and feel so beautiful and sexy! They have a really cute place, and the whole experience was very comfortable and very fun! I didn't schedule for makeup when I set the appt, but the stylist assured me it would be worth it. She did a great job on my hair, and upon seeing the photos I was very happy I had her do my makeup. In the mirror it looked pretty heavy but in the photographs it looked really beautiful, and I think since I'm fair skinned I would have looked really washed out behind the big lights. The final product looked amazing, if I may say so myself. This experience really makes a gal feel beautiful. The photographer was amazing! She was so professional and creative and really fun to work with. She was very good at directing me on where to look and how to achieve the most camera-worthy angle, if you know what I mean. There was a wide variety of stage props and, though I provided my own, a lot of really cute outfits you could buy if you didn't have that kind of stuff. I could go on about how much fun it was to work with her. She had a great personality and really just rocked...and helped me rock it! I was antsy and excited to see the photos from the minute I left the studio that day, but the photographer worked fast, and a couple days later I returned to view and select my photos with another very nice and friendly young woman. Again, this was a very comfortable environment, she was very helpful in guiding me through my selections. Overall, this was one of the funnest things I've ever done, and by far the greatest gift I've given myself. You can't just take photos this beautiful in your undies at home, ladies .You, and whoever you're sharing these with...will treasure these photographs for a very long time. I received a Groupon as a gift from my sister for a one hour shoot with hairstyling at deBoudoir. I was a little hesitant at first because I did look at the prices of the photos on their website before hand but in the end it was WELL worth it.......read on. When I arrived at the studio (a very cool Victorian home in the LoHi neighborhood) I was greeted by Melissa who promptly offered me a glass of wine to ease any pre-shoot jitters. She also helped me organize my four outfits and made suggestions on what would look best. After we chatted for a bit she curled my hair and offered to add false eyelashes (for a $20 charge). I declined, but in hindsight I could see where they really would have added extra "pop" to the up close photos. Now on to the shoot. Susan was my photographer and I can say that she really has a eye for how to make you look the most flattering that you can. She is a master of lighting and artistic vision. I felt totally comfortable throughout the entire session and I had a blast embracing my sexy side that I didn't even know that I had! When my session was finished I made an appointment for the following week to review my photos. I could hardly wait to see how the shots turned out. I arrived for my viewing appointment and was met at the door by Kelly who would help me tackle the hard task of narrowing down 123 images that made the cut from the initial session. I was so happy that Kelly was there to help with my indecisiveness and to lessen how critical I was on my own self. She made me think twice about some photos that I had totally written off the first time through and boy was she patient! All in all it was a great experience that I would highly recommend to any woman to do at least once in your life. read more

I would send anyone to deBoudoir. I went as a grooms gift for my upcoming wedding. I was extremley nervous at first but as soon as I stepped in I was put immediatly at ease. The house in the highlands is beautiful with gorgeous photography everywhere and classic music playing quietly in the background. The staff immediatly welcomes you and offers you a drink. After a while I felt like I was talking to girlfriends about outfits and makeup and just a feeling of someone who cares as much as you do how your photos turn out. The photographer Susan was amazing. She really put me at ease and told me exactly what to do and it actually was really fun! I left thinking no matter what this is a great experience even if the photos dont turn out that great. When I came back to view the photos they were AMAZING and the staff was amazing helping me weed through the pictures, talking about life, and just being all together fantastic. (If you ever get on yelp and read reviews, thank you! you guys are the best) I know the price is expensive but its 100 dollars per photo in the package I bought and I have pictures that are works of art that I could frame in my house (some of them) and when I am 80 years old i can say look how hot I was! (which I didnt think was possible) This is the only time I think I will do something like this so why not and I know it will be a great grooms gift. I always wanted to do something like this and when i saw the Living Social Deal I checked out the company website and looked up all the information and I knew at that point i wanted to do it so i purchased the deal. This company is Awesome from the scheduling the appointment to the confirmation call to the day of the appointment. I got to my appointment and first thing that caught my eye was the beautiful House they have set up as their studio, then going in was amazing from the beautiful sitting room when you get there and they offer you a glass of wine or tea. Once the introduction was done with the deal i got i had a 50 credit towards the corset so we went through all the beautiful corsets to find the one i love then we looked at all my outfits to see how they would work and look. I had my hair and makeup done by Melissa and OMG it was way gorgeous I looked amazing thanks to her. Than I went upstairs to do my photo shoot and wow it was beautiful up there. My photographer was amazing she made me feel so comfortable and comfortable about myself. She was so awesome that i would love to have her do my photographs again when i do this again. I got to see my pictures and OMG they are amazing the work that the photographer did and the editing team. GREAT WORK I APPRECIATE EVERYTHING THIS COMPANY DID HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. LOVE MY EXPERIENCE! I highly recommend doing this to any women no matter her age or size. It truly is a unique experience empowering women to see how beautiful they truly are. It was something that I had always wanted to do and took my opportunity with a groupon offer. The staff were so friendly and welcoming which made relaxing a breeze. They offered a beverage of choice (which included a glass of wine to help take the nerves down a notch) and told me everything that was going to happen. Susan (the photographer) made me feel beautiful and comfortable. It was my first experience with any kind of professional photography so I was nervous about being able to "pose" but she coached me through it all and my photos where AMAZING! Kelly was fantastic during the consultation review of the photos - it is a bit overwhelming at first with not having that special someone there to decide on photos. She really helped me feel comfortable and make decisions that were for me as well him. The building is a historic landmark in Denver and beautiful old Victorian layout. Everything made you feel sexy, confident and comfortable. As I reach a milestone of 30 years old, I think about when I'm elderly and look back at my life and I'm going to be thrilled that I decided to get a package of photos rather than just one or two. When my boyfriend went out of town to go to school, I decided to do something special for him and came across the livingsocial deal for DeBoudoir, and I'm so happy I gave it a shot! I was a little nervous at first since I've never done anything like this before, but they really did a good job making me feel comfortable and beautiful. I would recommend opting for them to do the make-up because the dramatic make-up that they put on me really made my pictures look great. They offer to do hair and also help you pick out your outfits that you bring in if your unsure of what to wear (or not wear). During the photo shoot, I was a little out of my element, but she did a great job instructing me on my poses and facial expressions. By the end of the shoot I felt much more confident in myself and was really enjoying my time there. When I came back to pick out my images, I was really shocked at how great they turned out. The prices were a little high, so I went with the 12 images and it was kind of difficult to narrow it down to just 12 because so many of them turned out beautiful. I would recommend any woman to do this at least once in thier life. They're images you'll have forever to keep for yourself or share with your loved ones. read more

I knew I wanted to do some fun things while I was in Denver on vacation and purchased the deal on Groupon before I left. The only word I can use for this whole experience is "AMAZING!" From start to finish, I felt like I was treated like a princess. Melissa did such a great job on my hair and make-up. I told her to "go for it" that she could do anything she wanted. I am not normally a make-up person, but I knew if I was going to do this, I needed to go all in. Ladies: I suggest you get lashes!! They were awesome! Susan the photographer made me feel so comfortable. I was a little nervous due to the nature of the photo shoot; I have never posed in lingerie EVER! Susan guided me through the shoot and made me laugh, I've actually never felt sexier. I had my consult with Val the day before I left. I couldn't believe how beautiful my pictures were! I never thought I would ever look that good. Val also made me feel comfortable as well. I was super nervous! We chatted and had a great time. I knew that I couldn't live without these photos. My boyfriend is getting deployed soon and I wanted to have something to send to him periodically during our time apart. I was nervous about the shoot but one of my close friends had done the same thing for her husband recently and she really helped put my mind at ease. I am not the most girliest of girls so I decided to go with the hair and the makeup and once I saw their selection of lingerie I picked up a few things from them too (they really put my panties to shame). The whole experience was enjoyable and really just a lot more fun than I thought it would be. The staff was professional and not at all stuffy, Sharon is an amazing photographer, she helped bring out a side of my beauty and femininity I didn't realize I had. I came back to view my photos and I was in shock. I ended up buying my whole gallery. I had a calendar made for him and enough images to send to him a couple every couple of weeks until he comes home. I was very pleased with my experience at the Denver deBoudoir! The staff, the location, the setup, and the end product all impressed me. I love that they only do one booking at a time - with this as my first boudoir shoot, it really helped me relax to know it was just me and the staff there. They made me feel very comfortable from the moment I walked in. The setup is great with a nice changing room and the studios upstairs for added privacy. My photographer did an amazing job of making me feel beautiful, relaxed, and photogenic! She was great at using lighting, angles, and props to bring out the best in me. When I went to review my pictures I was blown away. It was so hard to narrow down to the ones I finally selected, and at the same time I was not pressured to purchase more than I was comfortable with. My experience with deBoudoir was amazing. I felt comfortable, sexy and beautiful. Yes, these pictures are expensive, but it gives us a chance to do something for ourselves. Most women today get too bogged down with our labels--mother, wife, girlfriend, etc and we don't make time for ourselves. deBoudoir helps you to see yourself in a new light, to show that you are beautiful. Most of us do this for a loved one, but we get the benefit of seeing ourselves through their eyes. We don't always feel beautiful, but these photos help assert that we are beautiful. I cannot recommend them enough, I was helped through the whole process, at no time did I feel embarrassed, looked down upon or pressured. I was very nervous about getting these type of pictures done of myself, I have a hard time seeing myself as beautiful. All I could ever see about myself was the negative issues and I really thought it was going to be a waste of time and money... Not anymore! This was such an awesome thing to do for myself!!!! I saw myself in a way I never thought possible! The photographer was amazing and really made me feel comfortable. I can not begin to express how happy I am that I did this!! Being a Mom of two really does some things for your self confidence, these pictures have really raised my self esteem! TOTALLY worth the money!! I will be back for further photo shoots! What a great experience! From start to finish I found this business to be very professional, friendly, talented and fun! I felt completely comfortable from the minute I walked in the door. Especially important for me since I've never had professional photos taken, and wasn't entirely sure what to expect. My pictures turned out great,way better than I had imagined. They were available for me to see in just two days, which was great! The pricing was reasonable, and I was given the option to pick between several different packages.
