That was me before we switched away from KidTherapy and to another PT. My daughter saw Jenny for PT about 3 times before we switched. The front desk staff are nice, but Jenny started our sessions 5-10 minutes late all 3x (which is significant when the session is only 30 minutes). She would oftentimes be rushing through the front door when we were in the lobby as her first patient for the day. She was a lovely person, but now it angers me to realize how my daughter was not receiving proper guidance & care. During our evaluation she took zero notes; just drew little drawings to try to show me what exercises to do at home. The evaluation at the other office had a full rubric/the PT took notes on her computer, etc. Multiple times Jenny would tell me "You should be a PT!" when I would share my observations of my daughter's gross motor skills. And I kept thinking "I'm only doing this because she's not receiving the guidance that she needs." I would leave appointments feeling more overwhelmed and had more questions than I arrived having. Jenny would frequently ask me to remind her what we did last time or what exercises we were working on; things that should have been recorded by the professional we were paying for the session. Overall, it was not a professional experience and I was right to trust my gut and try a different therapy center, because the difference has been night and day. My daughter has made more progress elsewhere in 1 session than she did in 3 sessions over 1.5 months at KidTherapy.

The program is run at the highest level of organization, care, and therapeutic expertise. Every team member we met was so warm and welcoming. By the end of the three weeks, we had built such meaningful connections with both the staff and other families in the program. My husband and I have seen amazing growth in our daughter, both in her physical abilities and in a new level of confidence she didn't have before. Her occupational therapist, Savannah, was incredible. She and Rachel, her other OT, made such a lasting impact. Our daughter's face lit up every time she saw them, and their energy and kindness kept her motivated and joyful throughout every session. Her physical therapist, Rachel, was just as amazing. We were in awe watching all of the creative and dynamic movement exercises she designed. Each session was perfectly challenging and helped our little girl succeed. A big shout out as well to her speech therapist, Madelyn, who brought so much positivity and encouragement every day. If you don't, you won't be able to get to it and see your account, billing, balance etc. Here's my experience: I went to Anew Era for 5 years. My psychiatrist was knowledgeable, understanding, and helpful. I was manually paying my standard balance each month. And the office people were great. But this place changed in early 2025. Suddenly, my psychiatrist of 4 years was gone, I started getting auto-billed really high amounts I'd never seen before with no explanation, and I was matched with a new psychiatrist I did not choose for myself. I was done when my balance showed $100 right before an appointment--an amount I've seen countless times before. I didn't pay it ahead of time, so they cancelled my appointment, which is completely understandable. But a few days later, I went to pay that $100 balance, and it had jumped to $400. Mind you, I hadn't had an appointment in those few days, the office told me there would be no late fees applied, and my medication was not refilled. How does my typical $100 balance suddenly soar to $400. I have never been charged that much before, so I checked my payment history and it was wiped clean. Why could I not see my previous statements all of the sudden, when I was able to for the past 4 years? I was going to call the office about it, but remembered when I called and asked about odd amounts they auto-charged me for in the past, they were rude, defensive, and wouldn't explain those strange charges. Keep in mind that for four years, my insurance did not change and I made consistent manual payments without a single issue. So recap: out of nowhere, my psychiatrist was gone without a word. They start auto-charging my card without my consent and prior notification--and the amounts are astronomically higher than anything I've paid over the last few years. On another note, the office people who answer the phones are just so awful to deal with. They're always angry, dismissive, not helpful, and rude to the patients for no reason. (I can only assume they're fed up because their phones are ringing off the hook due to all of their company's mistakes, billing discrepancies, sketchy practices, and lack of communication with patients) But office people, do not take your frustrations out on the patients, look at the bigger picture: the company you work for is causing all of these issues that you then have to deal with over the phones. I can only hope most of them are getting new jobs at a reliable company or health group, because they are not having a good time at Anew Era. Don't go here :)

The therapists were using the small waiting room to meet with families both before and after our appointment. I was not expecting to have to wait in the waiting room, especially not when there was another family there. They still have a paper sign in sheet and community pen! No hand sanitizer out for patients after using the pen either. Given the nature of their work, I was really expecting a safer environment. I did not feel safe there and we will not be back.

While I do find the counselors and most of the staff very nice and extremely caring I just recently encountered a problem and that gives me a need to write a review now. You have to know that what is said in your sessions are NOT PRIVATE!!! THEY ARE NOT CONFIDENTIAL! One would think they should be and part of me understands why they are not. The interns are learning and if they are not aware of out to handle an issue it might be shared with there supervisor. This is the case that happened with me. Once it was shared by my counselor recently it got way out of proportion very badly and fast. My counselor encouraged me to share something I really did not want to share but in order to grow I decided to. I have done this before with 2 others in the YWCA and this as never happened but cause of what was shared along with some boundaries being broken my services were terminated abruptly and without notifying me till after I was waiting on zoom for my session to start. This was very unprofessional and for sure was not fair to me or my counselor which was a very nice sweet lady. I did not do what they claimed I did and they have not acknowledged the fact that they were wrong. If I did what they said I did I would probably be in jail but because I did not do that I am not. Although I liked them at one time and feel like they do good work I needed to make the people aware of this situation with this review.
