My daughter is a young mother but the disrespect lately is totally uncalled for. She is also discussing my granddaughters services with the director of the center! They need a HIPPA and positive communication training with staff. The only time she had to cancel services was due to her child having the flu and her running late 10 minutes due to car issues. Below you will find a text message to my daughter. Today my daughter was only taking her to preschool for her speech and she receives this text message from her at 1:28pm. Apparently she had already spoken with the director of the school and told she was absent. All communication should start with my daughter first.

My little one saw Erin Gonzalez here for speech therapy for six months. Three-four stars for the…read moretherapy content and one for the billing nonsense at the end. Erin is very sweet with children and kiddo enjoyed the speech therapy. She had a few tips that stuck and my little one's enunciation - which wasn't horrible, but was a bit behind peers - did improve during that time. At the end of six months, based on feedback from kiddo's teacher and some other educational figures, as well as my /grandparents/coparent's perception of moderate improvement, we decided to close out the therapy sessions. Erin looked a bit disappointed when I told her the final date, but was professional enough. She insisted that she would "re-assess" progress during that day's session, instead of going over the usual consonant sounds. She sold it a bit - kept talking about it - and I agreed, thinking it was harmless enough to have a written record of progress. The initial assessment at our first visit had been priced the same as the ensuing therapy sessions, so I wasn't worried about pricing. Erin went over her "re-assessment" of kiddo upon our return. My initial perception was that she showed the need for speech therapy as more extreme than assessed at our first visit. There was a minimal nod in one segment to minor progress. There were multiple areas where the report seemed to show regression. It was a bit alarming and my first thought was that she was far less happy about our quitting than she had expressed. Thinking I might not remember the initial assessment accurately, I compared the two reports when I arrived home. My initial instinct was correct. The second surprise arrived a month or two later. A bill (despite our having paid the usual co-pay at the visit) for THREE TIMES the co-pay. Almost $200. Because Tesoros had billed insurance differently, this "re-assessment" had been assessed differently in connection with our deductible and the insurance wouldn't pay. Calls to Tesoros (it took a week of daily calls to get a person on the line) resulted in a circular explanation of how they bill re-assessments. They couldn't explain why it would *need* to be done on a child's next-to-last visit, or why it was billed at a higher rate and filed with insurance differently than the initial assessment. After months of going back and forth with them, I've reported them to my insurance company's fraud team, paid the bill to avoid a credit report ding, and am reviewing them here. It's left us with a very sour impression of what was, otherwise, quite a harmless and neutral experience.

After having an evaluation at kidventures, the OT took the time to explain Sensory processing disorder and she gave me lots of resources that my husband and I could implement at home. My son loves going to "play" there and he talks about the "big gym" all the time! His OT did a school visit and kept in contact with his teacher to help her understand his behaviors and sensory needs. It's amazing that he can sit still through circle time now and is much better at following directions. He is even more coordinated and able to keep up with his friends during sports activities. The best part has been that his confidence has grown and we are so grateful for the services here.

I was starting to doubt the value of occupational therapy when someone referred me to Kidventures. From the initial evaluation, I could tell that they GOT my daughter. They REALLY SAW HER, so the plan that was developed was specific to her needs/goals. They knew what/when/how to tackle the issues to help her develop. I was included every step of the way and encouraged to participate. I received valuable feedback after every session and was given suggestions for things I could do at home to further help. My daughter is now a different little girl-she's mastered so many skills and continues to amaze me with her progress! Her physical abilities, as well as the ease with which we now move though our lives (those difficult transitions are sooo much easier!) make for happier days immediately and long term hope for a bright future. She is so knowledgeable and warm - it is rare to find someone who is experienced, excellent at what they do, and still can make your kid laugh and enjoy the session! He is thriving, again because of the work of our therapists. Also, as bonus, our therapists have been my guides in this unknown world of being a special needs mom. After 2 phone calls to accounting today - low and behold they found the money.....again! Moral of story - keep all your records and receipts from endeavor; write down names of those you talk to and pay. Better yet - get your p.t. elsewhere.

My experience with their office was frustrating from beginning to end. The problems started before my first appointment. My doctor's office sent my referral, and I followed up with Endeavor multiple times because they continued to say they didn't have the necessary information. Eventually, a different receptionist told me she would contact my doctor's office directly to straighten it out. Despite all of that, when I arrived for my first appointment, I was once again told they didn't have my referral. I could see in MyChart that it had been sent, and I had already spoken with multiple people at Endeavor about it. The billing problems were even worse. My Sendero insurance benefits clearly state that rehabilitative physical therapy has a $50 copayment per visit. Endeavor initially told me I was responsible for much more because I supposedly had to meet my entire out-of-pocket amount before the $50 copay would apply. I contacted Sendero twice, and both times they confirmed that my physical therapy copay was $50. I ultimately stopped going to Endeavor after five visits, in large part because dealing with the administrative and billing issues had become so frustrating. I paid Endeavor $250, covering five visits at my $50 copay, specifically to square up my account. Weeks later, Endeavor charged my credit card another $110 without contacting me first to discuss the disputed balance. My insurance documentation still clearly states "$50.00 Copayment per Visit." I am now having to dispute this additional charge with my credit card company. This isn't about the quality of the physical therapists themselves. My complaint is specifically about the way the South Austin office handled my referral, insurance benefits, account, and billing. There were repeated opportunities to get these issues corrected, and instead I spent an unreasonable amount of time making calls and trying to straighten out problems that should never have been mine to solve. Healthcare is stressful and expensive enough without patients having to repeatedly police a provider's administrative and billing practices. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Endeavor Physical Therapy South Austin.

I had an over use injury for over a year and felt like I was chasing the cause and not really sure where to turn. I saw multiple PT's, but I didn't feel confident in their care. I'm totally confident with Dr. Swap. She has gone above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. I feel like she treats me based on what is happening in my body instead of just giving me a group of exercises expected to work. I also really appreciate that I see her. Having one person who oversees my care is important to me and she has always helped me feel comfortable with this. I highly recommend APTS!

Catherine, the occupational therapist, said by twelve months, premature babies have caught up. We both agreed that my son should crawl longer because it would be good for him. She sent me an Amazon link for a tunnel labeled 3+ years old. However, he's still not motivated to crawl through the tunnel even though there's 6' feet of clearance on both ends. Catherine suggested putting toys inside and peeking my face through the other side, but he still wasn't motivated. I'm going to be returning the tunnel on Amazon. I had better luck getting him to crawl at Catch Air than at home.
