She has always been really flexible with scheduling (last-minute work from home days or a soon-to-be much more variable schedule). She always makes sure to let me know well in advance if there are days she won't be available so that I can make other accommodations. She also just goes the extra mile to let me know if there is anything "off" with my dog (or even with my apartment). She even bought a bag of my dog's favorite treats just because she happened to be at a store where they had them for a good price! I could not ask for a better care-taker for my pooch. I highly recommend Linda for any pet care.

Just today I she was sleeping and I asked her if she wanted a treat. Normally, she'd bound over and beg without my asking. This time she only wagged her tail in response. :-) Leslie is wonderful, very knowledgeable about dogs and their temperaments, and very attuned to the safety of her doggie-friends. As an added bonus, she sends me pictures and videos from the hike via text to share with my daughter. I highly recommend!

You can just tell. He is not overwhelmed, overloaded or rushed when he arrives to pick up Pebbles. These things are all very comforting for me as the doggie mom, but I think it is equally important to share my observation of Pebbles' and how I know she adores him. Her body language when she sees Kris & his dogs is really heartwarming, she wiggles with shear excitement and joy the minute she sees him.. she can't wait to get to him so she can kiss him like crazy; after she greets Kris she jumps in with his dogs and greets them with excitement too! The mere mention of Kris' name sends Pebbles into a tizzy of very wiggly excited tail & body wagging. I once made the mistake of mentioning his name above a whisper on a day they did not have an outing scheduled, her wiggly excitement followed by immediate droopy eyed disappointed at the realization that they were not going out that day was just crushing to watch ...for me, that says it all. Fortunately she gets to see her friends from Gone With the Dogs every afternoon for a walk. My Tally's a little feisty when it comes to other dogs so she sticks with just the solo walks, not the field trips or other fun adventures that Gone With the Dogs offers their clients. For three years I have been nothing but thrilled with the service and care that Tally has received from Cami and the rest of the walkers. From last minute schedule changes to dealing with all my dog's idiosyncrasies and health issues, they have consistently been understanding and accommodating. Recently Tally had to miss several walks because she was in the hospital. When I finally picked her up in the hospital, we came home to a get well card and a new toy from GWTD. These people care and it shows. Even now that I'm planning to move out of my current home, I refuse to move very far because there's no way I would trust any other walker the way I trust GWTD.

Until recently, I had only left my dog Max with family when I was out of town - I knew for sure that he was being treated well. Unfortunately for me, that meant driving 2.5 hours to leave him with that family member. This year I again tried to find a local dog sitter/walker - I had done a similar search a few years earlier and was unsuccessful. This time, I was very pleased to come across Gone With The Dogs on one of the professional dog sitting websites. I met with Cami, found her to be sincerely fond of dogs and decided to try leaving Max under her care. I was pleased with the results and Max seemed extremely happy with his new care-giver. Gone With The Dogs is now the first place I call when I need to leave Max for a long weekend. I feel very comfortable that he is getting the personal attention and care that he receives at home.

We started using their services in the fall of 2001, and had the owner walking our dogs twice a day…read more5 days a week, plus additional walks when necessary. In the spring of 2014 we had to discontinue our services with PPP because of the following reasons: * Up until the end of 2013, our family worked outside the house 8:00am - 6:00pm. * Beginning 1/1/2014, I worked from home Monday, Wednesday and Fridays but kept PPP as our walker for those days also, 2 visits per day. * Gradually over time, the visits that were originally supposed to be each 30 minutes got shorter and shorter; but I did not mention it to Ms. Gambardella. * One day on a day that I was supposed to be at work, my car was in the shop being serviced, and I was upstairs in my home office. I came downstairs and she was letting my dogs out the back door; and I startled her as I walked into the room where she was. She didn't know I was home. * About a month later on June 4th I was browsing the security reports from our home security system. I started to see that what she was doing was (on the days that I worked outside the house): o She would come in the front door o Shut off the alarm system o Go to the back door, open it and let the dogs out the back yard o Close the back door o Set the alarm back to On. o Open the front door, and leave o Close the door behind her o All of this was done in about 3-7 minutes. * I confronted the owner when she arrived on 6/4 to walk the dogs, and she told me that it was just the prior day 6/3. According to the reports (which I still have copies of on my personal laptop) it was done this way 7 times just in the month of May. Unfortunately the security report only go back 30 days. Our family was completely blown away by this, considering we were expecting 2 thirty minute walks each day, even on the days that I was home. After 13 years of service, I am just beside myself that she was doing this. I cannot say how long she had been doing this, for all I know she could have been doing it every single day for the past 13 years that we were not at home to observe. Our oldest dog now, who is 6 became slightly overweight and since we have hired a great pet walking company she has gone back to her healthy weight. I am bringing this to your attention, because this is not only corrupt but it is also cruelty to our pets. Our dogs must have been so excited to see her and think they were going for a walk, only to be let out to relieve themselves for 3-7 minutest tops. PLEASE NOTE: Ms. Gambardella the owner also operates out of the Stoneham Animal Hospital as the resident pet groomer. If you are recommending a dog walker or pet sitting service, I would strongly advise not to recommend PPP

I met her four years ago while walking my dog on the street. I could immediately tell she knew well how to communicate with dogs and she treated them with love, care and patience. I did not realize she was a dog walker at the very beginning but as soon as she told me, I knew she is the one I can trust. For the years followed, I had Kathleen taking care of benny a few times, each time a one or two week long vacation. She never let me down! She was on time, paying attention and very professional. She kept records in detail on Benny's behavior. She had a checklist of her duties and Benny's routine. She had yummy treats (they are even organic!) at her own cost for benny. She gave Benny plenty of exercise time. Recently we moved to Woburn which was about 8 miles away. I was wondering if Kathleen would still come to walk Benny. She did! She still offered me the same low rate which never changed for the past four years and she came with a pot of beautiful flowers as a gift to our new house! That was so nice of her! I am very happy to write my review here (my first review on Yelp) for Kathleen to show my appreciation for her superb service. She is the one who knows animals and loves them. Your pets will love her, and you will, too!
